OK people, can someone pls give me excatly instruction what to do in win 10 x64 to make this wallet work again. I downloaded new wallet, placed exe file in eth wallet, deleted everything related with old wallet (even tryed without deleting) and it creates 2 folders in Roaming folder (Ethereum, Ethereum Wallet) and I dont know how are they related because every time when I run wallet by v0.8.3, wallets created do not show but they are created in keystore (same if I insert my wallet file). If I use v0.8.2.exe then they show. So keystore is not recognised by v0.8.3 but chaindata is because sync starts when I run it. Both are in Ethereum folder. And what about this Ethereum Wallet folder? Why are 2 folders created?
You need to access hidden data folder for Ethereum and delete the old blockchain for 0.8.2 in Windows 10. Before doing that: 1) Save the Keystore folder to a temporary location and usb drive. 2) Delete the rest of old hidden Ethereum folder for 0.8.2 in W10 hidden appdata folder 3) Install and run 0.8.3 and download the blockchain. 4) Close down when blockchain has finished downloading and then go to the new hidden Ethereum Folder and put you Keystore folder back where it was. Re-open 0.8.3 client and everything should be shinny new Hidden Ethereum folder is in appdata folder in Windows 10, here is a Youtube clip on how to get too appdata: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPi3nMmaunYHere is a youtube clip on Geth client layout and where and what you wallet.bat looks like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6lE0CtaeqsWatch, both short youtube clips and you won't make any mistakes.

Hi, I'm a bit confused by the last releases of Ethereum wallet/Mist, and sorry if my question has been already asked. Now they are not in a zip file, but in an "installer" But when I run an installer the software is supposed to be installed on the system and I'm not supposed to "install" it again to run the program. So, is it the design of the softwares or they are really installed and in this case I havn't found where (there is nothing to specify the installation directory) Do you know how it's works, where they are installed ? Thanks
Looks like the latest one are installers. They install into the user/app directories and not in program files. On my Windows box they appear here: C:\Users\dts\AppData\Local\Mist\app-0.8.3

•Windows installers are not adding the icons on the menu. To find your mist install, open windows explorer and go to %localappdata%\Mist\app-0.8.3\

Santander bid to make history today as the first multinational bank to use ethereum’s public blockchain to transform central bank issued money into digital currency. One of the biggest bank in the world, Santander, aims to allow its customers to turn bank account funds into ethereum based tokens, starting a new stage in digital currencies and beginning a move towards mainstream use. They have been working with Roman Mandeleil, founder of ether.camp, for the past nine months, with the project now in testing on Ethereum’s Morden. The crowd erupted in enthusiastic applause upon hearing the announcement, with one attendant stating participants were cheering. Unfortunately, there won’t be any proper videos until next week as they have been contracted out to professional teams with three cameras covering all angles. Some amateur videos of devcon2 are starting to surface, but not yet of Santander’s announcement.

How exactly do you mean? I see this as very little difference from current functionality with say, Coinbase. The only difference is, users will be able to directly buy eth using fiat from their Santander account, as opposed to having to enter in bank account info before being able to buy eth. In what capacity would a bank ever be able to issue (unlimited) crypto tokens such as eth? This announcement is not Santander issueing eth, it's Santander offering the capability to buy eth directly with funds from your bank account. Those are 2 very very different things.

This will be nothing like that. You'll have to be their customer and only send to other customers. You think they'll have decentralized fiat and go to jail for money laundering? Everyone here is just pumping. Tether already exists and is difficult to use with all the aml/kyc. From your previous posts imaginative content - is this another nonsense post, from a person who owns no Ethereum and has no interest in ETH! Dump's already started It's fun to imagine the jealousy behind each of those keystrokes Too bad etc hasn't had a pump to dump on, eh bitpop?

Devcon2 is about developing long-term awareness of crypto-currencies, opportunities to showcase major improvements, ensuring good practices become industries standards, by bringing together the developers of all the major crypto currencies (BTC, LTC, DASH, Ethereum, Ripple and many more cryptos) in one place. Speculators will speculate on good new stories and bad news stories, but their operations are independent of issues related too crypto currencies long-term growth. Investors are different to speculators, they can consider the shape of Ethereum next year! Mining investors, can consider the shape of Ethereum next year! However, speculators are not interested in the long-term - merely what they can make on a daily or a weekly basis. Speculators, tend to make the lowest gains from a crypto currency successes (they've usually sold off their assets in the peaks and frequently get shuffled out of crypto currencies in the long-term) and consequently they are very obsessed with hourly, daily and weekly fluctuations in prices. And, are always obsessed with trying to find a new crypto to pump and dump as the exit the scene on the successful crypto currencies.

"Investors are just failed speculators" - George Soros Translated for you... If your short-term speculation goes wrong you become a long-term investor. For instance, like selling ETHC and buying ETHF. That'd be a veeeeeery long term investment, probably for the rest of your life.

In fact: you will find 100's of very rich men and women who, have said the exact opposite of "George Soros". For every one George Soros, you will find 100's of people who have made million and billions using different business strategies. When people engage in a process of specialisation in an activity they create a false premise - this false premise dismisses all knowledge needed to do alternative activities.

Lol That is, assuming you can keep buying back the ETH - when you can't buy the ETH back - your position is busted! Then, you'll have been shuffled out permanently from 2nd biggest crypto currency. Seen thousands of people busted out of so many successful cryptos, that way!

Nothing happened at devcon except cashethf which first already exists as tether and secondly, isn't useful with aml/kyc and forks. I do not see a future for etherium other than the foundation criminals continuing to dump on bagholders until they're done. Most went home and dumped more to get back their Shanghai hooker money.
