Hey guys, I am pretty new to mining, having one rig with 4 x nvidia 1070, which miner would you recommend and what MSI Afterburner setup.
Thank you in advance!

You should look for this info in mining section.

About Ethereum (Ether actually)
I made a mistake writing that ETH price won't fall under price levels at the time around fork..
Now we have about 200k new ether mined daily in compare to 150k before fork..
https://etherscan.io/chart/ethersupply
This is quite big supply pressure.. and we can expect even 1/3 price fall.

Hapilly, on the other hand fork helps Ethereum network improve its performance and I hope we will have more good news, and my fears will become unrealized.

You mean 20K, NOT 200K mined daily?

Go Big or Go Home.

Ethereum under $300 is always "cheap" for me. I don't complain, rather I buy more. Low price is better for me because I don't sell it in short term, I keep buying regularly for long term profit.
Buddy! you are goin' very well. you are buying more eth. you will not regret in future.
eth will be give you much better profit than other coins.  Wink (not included BTC)

To be frank i was expecting a more faster climb to the top after the fork than this constant dance around $300, Ether is fast, and has  great dev and tech behind it, i don't see why we can't hit the big target.

Transactions speeds are faster, believe it or not eth blockchain and its ECR20 standard have become the most popular  technology for numerous tokenized projects, reaching a market cap of over $30 billion. Eth needs to be more than just a tech, ether is the top choice in terms of  applicability and functionality, so maybe if the developers where to make eth more transaction based currency, used as method of payment just like btc,  will put ether where it should be. Just saying.

We're not moving anywhere because ICOs sell their Ethereum and thus drive down the price in roughly equal proportions to the Ethereum bought with the sole purpose of investing it in ICOs. And miners are taking care of the gap that projects hodl as a reserve.

I wouldn't hold Ethereum since it was specifically designed to invest in ERC20 tokens.

Bitcoin is a moniker / brand for cryptocurrency since it was one of the first. People looking to invest in cryptocurrency will naturally gravitate to Bitcoin first. Ethereum has a better underlying technology, development community, that will always give it value.  Over time when people discover the limitations of Bitcoin and the money will slowly start to trickle over.

Amazon Subsidiary Registers Cryptocurrency and Ethereum Web Domains

https://www.coindesk.com/amazon-subsidiary-registers-3-cryptocurrency-web-domains/?utm_content=buffer2c06c&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer

E-commerce giant Amazon has registered three cryptocurrency-related web domains, online records show.

According to information from Whois Lookup, three domains – "amazonethereum.com," "amazoncryptocurrency.com" and "amazoncryptocurrencies.com" – were registered on Oct. 31. The domains are linked to Amazon Technologies, Inc., a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc. that has been attributed to past patent filings from the e-commerce company.

Phone numbers listed on the registration documents connect to Amazon's legal department, though a representative of that office could not be reached by press time. The registrations were first reported by industry news site DomainNameWire.

At this time, it's not entirely clear what purpose the domain names will serve.

As posited by DomainNameWire, Amazon may be simply moving to safeguard its brand. Back in 2013, Amazon secured "amazonbitcoin.com," which currently redirects to Amazon's main page – an arrangement that further suggests the protective intent of the registration.

Alternatively, Amazon could be seeking to avoid confusion between cryptocurrencies and Amazon Coin, a virtual currency product introduced in 2013 that serves as an online payment method for customers.

Representatives for Amazon did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

I would ask is there any information how Casper will work. I haven't seen a white paper for it yet, I'm quite curious about it. Is there any white paper by the way?

Interesting. This goes much beyond Amazon accepting bitcoin as payment.

Obviously it is bitcoin's power, when bitcoin pumps, altcoins are probably dumping, and vice versa. People buy bitcoin for getting hard fork coin, aka BT2, and people sell altcoins for bitcoin for BT2. This is the market.

PoS details are being developed still (~1.5 years). Vitalik made public the Casper "Muave" paper. Just search for it and you'll find a copy.  Its by no means complete, as mentioned, the design is still being finalized and code being written.

Proof of Stake is delayed for at least 1year, I guess (Diff bomb was delayed by last fork, as you can see:
Quote
Delay of the ice age / difficulty bomb by 1 year, and reduction of block reward from 5 to 3 ether (EIP 649)

'A Modest Proposal': Vitalik Unveils Multi-Year Vision for Ethereum

What do you do after you've created a multibillion-dollar cryptocurrency?

A skinny, 23-year-old hacker in a green "Doge" t-shirt gave us an answer today. At ethereum's flagship conference, Devcon, project creator Vitalik Buterin revealed he has been quietly working on a new long-term plan for the future of the blockchain network. What he called a "modest proposal," it's perhaps better described as a three-to-four-year roadmap for ethereum's technical development.

Notably at the heart of the vision is a long-in-the-making technical change to ethereum called "sharding," and while always expected to be included in the protocol's plans, today Buterin proposed what might be his most solidified strategy for the technique to date.

As such, the roadmap hints at problems yet to be solved on the platform, and as the emphasis on scalability for project developers. As ethereum nodes need to store everything that ever happened on the network, Buterin stressed that there's a need for solutions that mitigate expensive storage costs that could escalate exponentially as the system expands...

Great to see some ambitious announcements from Vitalik. Ethereum is far from dead. In fact it is so much better than Bitcoin, technology-wise, and this has to reflect on price, sooner or later. I don't think it can dip much lower than it is now. I HODL.
