Such a lovely spike in pricing today for ETH
Compared to other cryptocurrencies, ETH remains the most stable one. The price has stuck in 300+/-30 USD for a long time. Possibly year end or 2018 will be great for ETH.. expecting huge price increase Eth already pumped so much this year compared with many other altcoins, i think it need time to correct and skyrocket in the near future |

it was fascinating over the weekend to watch and play with the BCH pump.
bitcoin was due a correction and it was initiated by the Segwit 2x cancellation.
at the same time BCH was pumped by Ver and this created a snowball effect of people pulling money out of BTC and into BCH.. where normally that money would have gone into USD..
so basically for every $100 leaving BTC and going to BCH.. it was causing huge swings on BCH... $100 leaving BTC at $7000 causes BTC to drop 1.5% but it going directly to BCH at $1000 makes BCH grow 10%.
BCH was having 10% swings in 10mins..
i am guessing that this correlation could still go on for a while.. so if you want to profit.. watch BTC and buy/sell BCH on it's movements..
just make sure you bring your profits back to ETH..

hi all, newbie here.
I wanted to ask if anybody could explain to me why and how ETH USD and BTC prices are so detached one-another, with BTC price dropping and USD swinging but fundamentally stable on 300 since a while..
What does that mean?

Parity Floats Fix for $160 Million Ether Fund Freeze
Work continues on a possible way to free up the more than $160 million worth of ether stuck in multi-signature wallets following a dramatic hack last week.
In a new update published today, the Parity software development team said that it is conducting a review of the incident and will be releasing a post-mortem report "in the next few days."
The update indicates that there remains no immediate plan for addressing the frozen funds – although it's been suggested that a network hard fork would be required to find a solution, perhaps as part of the "Constantinople" network upgraded planned for 2018. That said, the startup raised the option of EIP156 – a late 2016 proposal from ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin focused on freeing up money locked in certain types of contracts – as one possible approach.

I also read that a hard fork should be considered in order to make up the lost $160 million fund. It seems that Ethereum needs more updates on their network to avoid another incident in the future. |

Ethereum is breaking out. Yes, Eth not like other gamble coin BTC or BCH. Let see, how much it longer to take pass 400 and or then above. Just wish this will long term, not like ups and down. This!!! I think long-term this childish BTC-BCH battle will make some money flow towards ETH. I was a big believer in BTC until last sunday. Almost shit my pants because i thought the bch-flippening was real. This is not cool. Stability of ETH and kind of "cooled down atmosphere" is highly appreciated!# |
