Bitcoin will go up and the ratio will never be great at this stage in the tech. Bitcoin is much better than Ethereum when it comes to brand recognition.. publicity.. somewhat easier to explain etc. Its great at this stage of the market where we exist in a land of pure speculation.
Eventually.. we will pass from theoretical to applicable and in that regard Bitcoin has many problems and Ethereum kicks its ass.
Once we start changing to that stage and things go from "in development" to demos.. and availability then everything is going to change in a big way.
I suggest accumulate.. stock up on popcorn and wait for shit to hit the fan.

Few pages back somebody asked what is the maximum cap for ethereum. I would like to ask the same question. Every 5 days approximately 100.000 new ether is created. If this will continue indefinitely the price of ether will never reach the number that is predicted by a lot of people on this forum. I like ethereum but I'm worried about the inflation which is caused by number of ether constantly growing.

ETH inflationary nature is well known and probably contributing reason for ETH still being in the 300 bucks range.
However where did you get the information that the inflation rate is 100k ETH per day? Doesn't seem to show up on coinmarketcap but not sure how often they refresh the circulating supply.

A distributed system attempts to access an API data source, but since the nodes need not execute the instructions simultaneously, the data provided by the API can yield different results. Hence you need to build some kind of time to API value lookup table; formally called oracle.

I was monitoring the circulating supply for one month. I wrote down the numbers on an exact day and after five days I watched the circulating supply again. That's how I got to the number 100k ETH per 5 days, not per day.

Nevertheless the number of ether is going to increase. With PoS somebody who owns 100k ether won't need much computing power for mining, but the mining will still continue. He will own this 100k ether just for a reason that he would mine more. But someday he would decide to sell this ethers. Perhaps not all at the same time, but slowly.

I see. Anyway with 20,000 "freshly minted" ETH a day it would take 4750 days, or 13 years, just to double current supply of 95,000,000 ETH. I would therefore say that assuming it's limited to 100k ETH per 5 days as you said, current inflation rate is very low.
But I'd appreciate if someone who knows more about it could give more accurate numbers - in particular I would like to know whether the inflation rate is stable.

in regards to transfer of funds and payments, as ether is fast and cheap,

Many people are switching from ETHf to ETHc because transfer of funds is cheaper and faster.

Sorry please what is ETHf and ETHc, kinda confused Huh

So its literally taken bitcoin 3 days to almost fully recover to its ATH.
Its been a month since we hit $350 and still haven't recovered to that. 6 months since $420. Y'all need to hold better.

ETHf is ETH foundation/fork. ETHc is ETH classic.

Is it possible that prices will continue to rise due to rising bitcoin prices?
we expect prices to be unaffected by the rise in bitcoin.

Now the ETH price is around $ 340 and I'm optimistic that the price of ethereum will reach $ 500 before Christmas, maybe this is a long wait because almost 9 months the price is never more than $ 320.

ready to go.... I think over 600 $ before Christmas i have Change my Bitcoins into Ethereum. Wink

I don't understand the logic behind this. Lots of junior accounts have been coming around with speculation of $500+ by end of year. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see such valuations, but where's the reason behind it? Just because market price has been moving north of $300 the last several days? That's a common trap that amateurs (not necessarily you) fall into: "it's been going up so it's going to continue going up!".

lol based on what data? I've been sending transactions on Eth blockchain with .1 gwei gas price. This means literally fractions of a penny in fee. Cheesy
