Is actually ETH likely to switch to POS at some time? I have not been maintaining that information. Is the rumored amount nevertheless going to be 2,500 eth?

yeah, one day eth is going to swith to Casper which is PoS consensus  protocol of future ethereum network. One drawback of this  is that this consensus will be achieved by relatively modest number of stake holders.

yes agree with that and also when eth was at the state where EOS right now cheap but EOS price is more then that

if everyone is so scared of their ethereum losing value as the $18000 bitcoin bubble drops why don't you just become a very very large whale in an ethereum fork or clone blockchain and force the price of that coin up so you can earn money while everyone else sits here and complains about the price of ethereum

it seems like waiting for ethereum to do something and complaining about the price does more to feed fud to everyone than it does to help your cause

I also wonder the same. It is such a great opportunity to accumulate more Ethereum, for me it's a no brainer. This will go back to where it was as soon as the market cap goes back to 350 billion. Ethereum is not going away as there is no alternative for ICOs. NEO is not an alternative yet, apparently it is far more difficult to launch ICOs which is why we see so few of them to date.

No one knows from the rebounding will start from but there is something good in bad events as well. The lower the price are the higher the profit will be because neither Ethereum nor other altcoins will go away but they have to stay here and evolve with steady growth over the time. May be change of month bring us back on track again.

ok but many useless alt coins will die during this bear market, of course Ethereum won't because it's here to stay but some tokens built on top of ethereum will die

The market shakeout is needed. It will make the survivors stronger.

I am expecting $100 ETH in 2019 sometime. Hold anyway. Price doesn't matter short term. Etherium project will continue to grow.

We don't know the bottom, as you say. But a few months is a really short shakeout.

The reason I say $100 is because :

1.  There was a lot of trading volume and the price took off from around $100 in May 2017. Lots of buyers remain to be shaken out.

2.  Current sentiment is still bullish. Most of the replies to my slightly negative posts (just the way I see it) are argumentative, ridiculing, or simply denial.

3.  The last true bear market in crypto lasted 3 years. This one is not mature enough yet.


I certainly hope that the bottom is more than $100, but that is my worst case scenario, lets say' in the 100's' might be a better guess.

Ok, got your point. Although, the trading volume is not that certain - it's suspected that quite a big part of it is being fabricated by exchanges (especially chinese)

Your suggestion and prediction is good but doesn't stick only on ETH because Bitcoin is the first major currency where it can increase the price even higher value and crypto market is completely based on the patience.

That is right. But the Bitcoin Cash is also the first major currency. So the price could rise as well.

I hope so it will stay above $100 but nobody knows what is happening into crypto markets right now because all TA getting failed and no prediction is going into right direction. There is still hope for good future I think soon it will back into bull run.

There will be a major bull run this year. Keep in mind that Goldman Sachs bought Poloniex, they didn't do that for fun. What's happening now is manipulation to provide big financial players with favorable entry prices. A bull run will come, I am absolutely sure about that.

The current price looks weird to me as well, and for sure it's an artificial n contrived situation on crypto market, I do expect a sudden growth not later that in a month.

Almost impossible to tell whether it is artificial or not. It might well be the case that a lot of people lost confidence and just sold their coins. And the big players don't provide support in order to get cheap digital assets.

Test product is true, but with some flaws that need to be fixed now first. Salability is still a huge issue for Ethereum and if a platform comes out that solves the scalability issue and is as good as Ethereum in all other aspects, that would be interesting.
