I missed ethereum ICO which was a big mistake for me.
Luckily I gathered some eth last year and invested into some promising tokens.
Never too late to buy eth.

Exactly it's never too late buy ETH. There's always something to invest in at crypto verse but for now, keep holding your ETHs we will set new ATH soon (just my opinion).

Ethereum, the second most valuable digital currency, is rising and going to green side 10.40% (according to CMC) while Ripple, the third most valuable digital currency, is up green side 1.28%.
Now everybody can trade their tokens easily with very cheap Gas price, Ethereum Network is fine and gwei 1  Shocked
otherside South Korean government has now announced that, from next week, everyone trading digital currencies in the country will have do so using their real names.
will this South korean Government  decision reduce hacking ??

Ethereum has such a strong future for many reasons. The majority of ICOs are being launched on using the Ethereum technology which only makes Eth a sure bet for the future of crypto. Considering that all ERC20 tokens require Eth for a transaction, the plethora of ICOs only means that Eth will be the most valuable cryptocurrency at some point. I can't believe Eth was only $10 a year ago. Absolutely amazing...!

Don't feel bad there is still chance to catch this train huge space to grow more strong in future. If you have some reserve than you can buy this right now in long term you will be satisfied with this.

To continue my post from yesterday:

Weiss Ratings, an independent rating agency of financial institutions, has released today the nation’s first-ever grades on cryptocurrencies by a financial rating agency, despite a massive Korean cyberattack on its website. Weiss gives Bitcoin a C+ (meaning “fair”) and Ethereum a B (“good”). None of the cryptocurrencies covered currently get a grade of A (“excellent”).

Below is a sampling of Weiss Cryptocurrency Ratings, selected randomly to illustrate a variety of strengths and weaknesses:

Bitcoin (rated C+) gets excellent scores for security and widespread adoption. But it is encountering major network bottlenecks, causing delays and high transactions costs. Despite intense ongoing efforts that are achieving some initial success, Bitcoin has no immediate mechanism for promptly upgrading its software code.

Ethereum (B), the second most widely adopted cryptocurrency, benefits from more readily upgradable technology and better speed, despite some bottlenecks.

don't be so sure. Ethereum is great, but there's always a threat from new technologies that are emerging right now. Most of the ongoing ICOs are scams, but some might become a better smart contract platform than Ethereum is now.

That's how Mobius Network co-founder and CEO David Gobaud explains why his startup ran its initial coin offering ICO on the Stellar network instead of ethereum, the most popular blockchain for token sales.
The comment underscores the growing interest in some corners of the crypto community for faster and cheaper payment rails as ethereum, like bitcoin, struggles to scale.
Mobius announced Thursday that it has raised $39 million in the ICO — one of the larger recent token sales and the largest by far on the Stellar platform. The company accepted only Stellar's native currency, lumens, in exchange for its own token, known as mobi.
According to Mobius, the sale hit its $39 million hard cap after only two hours, selling 35% of the total 888 million mobi tokens.

Yet while the vast majority of ICO-funded projects have been run on top of ethereum, using the ERC-20 standard, that blockchain has suffered from transaction backlogs and pendulum-like swings in fees.

I wonder if Semux can be one of these fantastic platforms...from what I've seen so far, there is a good chance that it will be.

I was very satisfied to wake up and see Ethereum up again.
wouldn't mind a day of healthy consolidation but not gonna lie..
it would be amazing if the pattern of explosive action continued..

So Ethereum is currently the highest rated cryptocurrency out there? Or some project received rank higher than ethereum.

What really worries me short term anyway is if you click on "Explorer" underneath Announcement the daily transactions have been plummeting on the 14 day chart to a 14 day low, I'm pleasantly surprised that Ethereum is holding up in price in the 1050 region but I'm not sure if this means people are just holding eth and not transacting as much or if it means that people just are not using the network as much. Since the value of eth is predicated on the total number of users as well as total daily transactions I don't know what to make of it. Perhaps people already bought a lot of eth and then sent it to an ico already and there is less supply but also less daily transactions?

Vitalik's statement on 2018 (inspirational)  Grin Grin

2017 really has been the year where hype in crypto, including financial hype and social hype in general has far exceeded the reality of what existing blockchain systems can offer. There is a lot of attention, and a lot of eager expectation, but as far as reality goes the practical usability of blockchains has in some cases even regressed due to rising transaction fees.

I expect 2018, at least within the Ethereum space that I’m best able to speak about, will be the year of action. It will be the year where all of the ideas around scalability, Plasma, proof-of-stake, and privacy that we have painstakingly worked on and refined over the last four years are finally going to turn into real, live working code that you can play around in a highly mature form in some cases on testnets, and in some key cases even on the public mainnet. Everyone in the Ethereum space recognizes that the world is watching, and we are ready to deliver.  Smiley

Sounds good and I am sure they will stick to their promises. Long live Vitalik! Wink
I think we can see Vitalik on steroids in 2018  Wink

We are to some degree indeed dependent on geniuses like him. With all those opponents forming among politicians and bankers and alike, we need people like Vitalik to step forward and present themselves in their very best shape to push crypto through as quickly as possible. So maybe we should get him some steroids! Tongue

market is always surprised me. And I remember how when ethereum just went up for sale on the stock exchange, and then as the price falls. How many there were giving a negative speculation. And now I look again and what a wonderful price. And, of course, too, I think this year it will grow even more. keep it up !!!!

Eth's rise to 1k spooked the mega rich hodr's of Bitcoin. Now we have them selling off anything above 10K day after day. The big meltdown is a hoax but I am glad of it. Once the mega rich are satisfied there will be no where left to go but skyward and they will have to buy back in higher if they want back in. Word is from some that they will move to Eth for the future. If that is the case, stocking at this price is no big deal if you are a newbie. Get you some! Don't stare at the market everyday so you get spooked also. I think it's all good...Speculation meltdowns may be the time to buy...
