My opinion to this is that, it would be better that not all of your funds will be invested in BTC and I think you should try to invest some funds from your btc to some promising alts and observe the market performance. Atleast, you will not be hooked up with btc only and explore other potential coin for your investment. Moreover, I am still confident that bitcoin will soon recover from this long bear market in the coming months and if that happens, that will be good also for the alts to grow as bitcoin is the main thing here.

This is a perfectly reasonable idea.  And most importantly, everything is logical.  To get more profit you need to invest in altcoins.  The main thing with the choice is not to be mistaken!

everyone has their respective investment strategies. hold in the long run also is promising because with crypto beliefs will grow in the long run then it will give you great results. daily trading is also quite able to generate profits because it could exploit where crypto increase and decrease. so based on their own strategies used in the search for profits.

If want to trade Bitcoin with others altcoin, we should be carefull when the price of BTC bull run and price of altcoin going down, and better to trade it by short duration. And other way to increasing balance of BTC is trade on the others trading platform that allow to make deposit by BTC , like platform that provide by broker like Simple fx, Fx  open, 1Broker, Whale club. In these all platform we can increase our BTC with so many diferent pair include crypto pair, stock, forex, commodities.

Hold is Bitcoin for long time, there is no much profit. You know why ?

Because if you only hold Bitcoin your balance will grow up only on USD rate. For example you hold 1 BTC . Current price 7500$. It's might 10k after some day. But you still have only 1 BTC.

Now think you have 1 btc and you convert it into BCH. Example for 1 BTC you get 10 BCH. Rate per bch is 0.1 BTC .

After some day if Bitcoin grow up, At the same time BCH also will grow up.
If bch rate grow 1.5 btc then you will have 1.5 BTC.

But before buy alt coin please select best coin to avoid dump.

So what you think. Hold alt coin or Bitcoin ?

I prefer to hold btc for long time and do some day trading with the alts. Though the profit of btc may be not so high as before, we can find  the low risk in it. It will definite goes up with the tie goes on. But to make mroe profit we need to buy in more alts and do some short time trading to make mroe money.

I still believe that some years later, the price will really grows up and be better than this.In my opinion, BTC is a very promising coin to hold for the long time. I have ever done about this. Holding them for some years when buying in the cheap price and then this year, the price is growing up.
