Why up to 80% bounty campaign extend the deadline?

Most of then who extends did not meet their target on their token sale. Maybe some need more funds. This is happening because due to the lost of trust of investors to ICO because of previous scams that happened in the past few years.

Extending I can understand, especially if you are not reaching even your soft cap, and it's tough during these bearish climates.

However I've seen some projects, which even had some initial success with their ICO's, decide to halt or postpone the ICO citing regulations and the current discouraging

atmosphere. I'm very curious to see how these projects will fare, as preventing investors from participating in your enterprise certainly starts you off on a weak footing...

Well, I think it if is because they have realized they won't reach their targeted soft cap so they have to extend it to some time to make things possible for them. Some even reschedule the whole bounty/ico for the fact that the timing is too bed to catch investors. Currently, most ICOs are targeting the summer season when investment goes high.

I understand, that extend deadline for continue marketing of ICO. But I not understand, why nobody do not increase bounty pool?

The resaon is that not only bounty campaign extend the deadline, but also ICO in general extend the deadline. Increasing number of ICOs currently affects on collection progress and as a result they have to extend ICO dates and bounty dates accordingly. It freaks me out, when I have to promote company for around half a year, but there is nothing to do with it , only accept or change bounty. But imagine, while you're wasting your time doing bounties, investors freeze their money and sometimes after listing they not only gain, but also lose their amount invested.

I would say its normal because the project has to put into consideration the money needed to develop the project and account for price volatility, if they over look this the product will never see daylight.

I think scam projects would never want to extend their time line as people might figure out whats going on so its not an attribute of a scam

Most times the reason that bounties extend the deadline is that they have extended the deadline for the ico too and this is because they have not being able to hit their target that they set for the ico. Most bounties run till the end of the icos so when the date of the ico is extended, bounties get extended too

at the moment the prices are are not sure like the whole crypto future so most ico do not reach the soft cap due to this reason the ico is extended till soft cap reached

Many companies start ISO, and expect a certain amount, but when the market gets red, the coins lose in price and the amount is reduced accordingly! therefore, companies are waiting for the growth of the main crypto-currencies!

We cannot equalize all campaigns that extends their ICO period are scam.
Maybe some of them is need to prepairing something to face the real market after the ICO so they still have more time, or they still need to reach their hardcap to realizing their plan.

There are cases that an ICO can't avoid extending the campaign like a member assigned in KYC leaving, not reaching the soft cap, and some ends their bounty program same time as their ICO (therefore, if the ICO is extended, the bounty is extended).  But if they announce a certain date in which in the bounty should have ended, and for an unknown reason, extended the bounty, that's the time you should be suspicious.

I suggest, that you should study first the project before doing a bounty for them. It won't waste your effort and at the same you have a higher chance of getting paid though there are cases that you can't really distinguish if an ICO is a scam or not.

True.  I have experience this before and this is case to case basis.  There are project that gets extended and pays you after you have done the campaign but there are many time i have been left closed fisted thinking how i wasted all my effort and my time because they wont pay after all.  So it is best that you chose the legit bounty campaigns to avoid the same experience.

in my practice I have already met such companies that have extended the deadline and as a result, very promising projects have turned out. If to name for example such company pundi X it pierced ico the company for 4 months, that as a result very rich earnings turned out.

it is a normal thing, there are a lot of reasons why a team may decide to extend their ICO, for example, the company cannot collect funds on time, which is planned.

Most icos hope if they expand their ico the can outpass an bear market. So if an ico gets listed at an exchange druing bear market it will very likely drop in price !

This, I think, is normal. There are a number of reasons why this happens. But I think it is most common that projects can not raise enough money.

This is very normal mate. You can actually find the reason because everytime the team of an ICO decided to extend the main sale or postpone it the let the bounty manager know about and the manager makes an announcement to the bounty hunters.
Mostly the main reason the team wasn't able to reach the soft cap, or they make some development, or the just want to make sure that the main sa will become successful. Sometimes it is about the price of bitcoin.

They extended their campign if the project doesn't reach the soft cap on their ICO. And if unlucky if it will not reach the soft cap they will discontinue the project and the bounty participants will be left behind.

Delays are just normal on bounties. There are thousands of participants to check and it will be hard for the manager to check all of them. I think there approval that needs to be made before they can procedd with distribution. It's not the typical work that we are accustomed to. Bounties are dofferent and still has a lot of things to improve. Try working for sylon, he always follow the schedule and informs the team if it will be delayed.

ico is extended, bounties get extended too Most of campaigns do not show publicly the list of signature campaign participants, exciting when reached the hard cap because only good project will reach the soft cap.

Members extending the ICO period usually means that they never reached a hardcap, or even a soft cap. Some great projects usually sell out during the crowdsale, which is usually why  they never have to extend their ICO's. Usually it is the smaller projects that extend it doesn't mean it is a scam, Though I have noticed a lot of main anne threads on here tend to just stop answering at the end when they extend so it could also be a possibility!!!!

Yes. You are right. they extend ICO because their hardcap is not finished yet. I think it's not a scam. but their ico period must be solved. if not then the process of participation continues to be done until it reaches hardcap. My advice, they should invite many investors to join until the sale runs out.
