There's no mention of that on their Blog, Twitter or OP article in this thread.  Do they know yet?  Do the other 8+ exchanges know either?

though i have thousands of coins in cold store offline i did have 5 bitcoins in cryptorush v1 and about 0.2 bitcoins in v2 playing about just for fun.

i did not care much about the value, but what i did care more about was the customer service.... well that lack of.

in the last week there was no news on the twitter, blog, or this forum. there was no news on the site owners personal twitter or the facebook group. so i went to the irc #cryptorush channel to seek information.

what i received as a response was alot of adolescent insults and circle jerking from a few of the admin who instead of answering questions or showing compassion for their lack of security knowledge to protect the site. they decided to prefer to talk about graphics cards and joke around while only stating they will inform people later.

so goodluck getting anything positive out of them.

and i do hope anyone that has made a loss didnt have their whole hoard in cryptorush

its the immaturity of young adults like those guys, who have no financial or formal security knowledge (i suspect the king guy is a script kiddie) which fail at the fundamental first step of no hot wallets, or understanding of the ease of still running instant withdrawals from a separate wallet unattached to the server, that makes me feel that bitcoin is not going to go mainstream while basement dwellers are coding the services.

lets hope the 7-9 exchanges that got hacked simultaneously show the rest of the community, what NOT to do.

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

Scammer will be scammer. This is just another confirmation ..
What happens next may be along the lines of the following:

Dear customer.

We had just finished our extensive one year search for all of the solvent coins and, having found them all down the back of the sofa, were about to hand them back.  Believe us, they were right here and we were just about to do it.  We didn't cash it all out.  Honest.  We couldn't have done it any earlier because the colour scheme on the website had to be just right.  Any less than the correct colour on the correct pixel would be a disservice to our customers.

We were just about to press the button to release the coins when... Oh no... Someone broke in and stole the lot.  Maybe we should have cashed them all out and paid ourselves after all.  Anyway, here are some pictures of jelly beans by way of compensation.  Feel free to trade them for 0.0001% of their original value.  If cash ever comes in, we will promise to buy up all of the sell orders at a fraction of the price and then pay ourselves the full value.  You have our word on that.

We thank you for your custom, and will think of you while in the Bahamas.

At least the "announcement" can be read to mean that only the withdrawable pool of funds were available for theft, and that the "solvent" coins are still as "solvent" (or as spent) as they were last week.  There wouldn't have been much to steal if only the insolvent coins were up for grabs.

So much for being re-written from the ground-up for security.  And these are the same people who were mocking the "previous owners" for their security.  I suggest that the "solvent" coins are released and withdrawn as a matter of urgency to avoid any danger of people popping the site security again in future.  Maybe if the site owners did some work instead of socialising on IRC all day, something would get done.

Well clearly the trolls here prefer to run their mouth instead of paying attention to what actually takes place regarding CryptoRush and fund reimbursements. Prove it you say? Sure thing!

For those who haven't been paying attention, I recently took over the audits of CR 1.0 coins. The problem I have been running into, and have posted in several places asking for help, is getting some of the wallets running and synced. If you have a personal wallet for one of the coins which has not been repaid, please feel free to post the wallet version and any addnode lines from your config file. For everyone saying that we have not repaid any coins of value, it is time to quit crying wolf and grow up. After the hacks last year, it was thought that all POT was stolen when in fact we salvaged and repaid almost every single Potcoin that was held on CR 1.0. There are a total of 3.7 million POT on CR 2.0 waiting to be claimed and never have been. At the time of the hack, the approximate value was $66,000 USD.

As I'm sure many have noticed, the site is currently offline. Yes, we are aware. Yes, this is on purpose. Yes, there is A LOT going on in the background which we currently cannot, and will not discuss. I will say that some very exciting things are happening, the likes of which the world has never seen before. Don't believe it? Okay, don't. It will in no way hurt my feelings that the trolls, who love to spread fear from their parent's basement instead of deal with the facts, will continue to run their mouth.  Kiss

For those who actually read this forum for real information, stay tuned. Certain things cannot be released at this time, but details will be given as soon as we are in a spot to do so. Remember, the trolls simply spew speculation and have ZERO idea what is really going on. When full details are released, they will become quiet pretty f*&#in' quick  Wink

I asked several times in the past if you guys were going to work on repaying the partial loss people had when trying to dump their coins out of the exchange, when it became apparent that the exchange was compromised. People began cross-trading their valuable coins to any means available in order to pull out what value they could--this was also the suggestion of the then owners.

I lost about 13k POT having to dump it through other coins. I know others lost other coins that way.

Or was the only plan to reimburse whole losses? Not that mathematically it's even possible, but it's nice to discuss.

Great!  The proof will be clear for all to see when "solvent" coin balances start showing up and people can withdraw the various coins that still have value.

For those who haven't been paying attention, I recently took over the audits of CR 1.0 coins.
I have been paying close attention to this thread and I've not seen a lot going on.  All we get is "we are working on it" and "we changed some colours here and there".  How difficult is it to being a wallet online and allow people to withdraw their coins.  If bringing a wallet online really is beyond your skillset then just say so and maybe some help can be offered.  You will probably find that bringing wallets online is the most essential part of any exchange, without which people can't get funds into or out of the system to even consider trading.  You can mess with the colours and other things later.  Build from the ground up.

The problem I have been running into, and have posted in several places asking for help, is getting some of the wallets running and synced.
Then skip those and move to the ones that do synch.  Come back to the tricky coins later.  The coins that don't even synch are probably worthless anyway, so do those last.  Get something up and running to show progress.  Doing the easy ones first will show a steady stream of coins coming online.  It's not rocket science and you've been at this for a year now.  Is this really beyond your ability?

There are a total of 3.7 million POT on CR 2.0 waiting to be claimed and never have been. At the time of the hack, the approximate value was $66,000 USD.
If coins are available for withdrawal and people want to leave them with you then that's up to them.  Bring the rest up.  Start with what you consider to be the most popular and if the wallet doesn't synch then skip it and move to the next.  Come back and do the skipped coins once the ones that do synch are up.

I will say that some very exciting things are happening
The most exciting thing you can do for the exchange will be to bring coins online so they can be traded or withdrawn.  You can add toys afterwards.

Don't believe it? Okay, don't. It will in no way hurt my feelings that the trolls, who love to spread fear from their parent's basement instead of deal with the facts, will continue to run their mouth.  Kiss
It's not trolling.  It's demanding.  And you have forfeited any right to call for anyone to be more concerned about about your feelings.  A little professionalism would be preferred.

For those who actually read this forum for real information, stay tuned. Certain things cannot be released at this time, but details will be given as soon as we are in a spot to do so.
I read this forum for information.  The problem is none is ever posted.  Even this message says "we haven't done anything but might do something soon."

Remember, the trolls simply spew speculation and have ZERO idea what is really going on. When full details are released, they will become quiet pretty f*&#in' quick  Wink
Without information, all we have is speculation.

Please define "pretty f*&#in' quick" so you can be held to it.  Ballpark.  One day, one week, one month, one year, the year 3000?

Get back to work on releasing coins.  Skip the ones that won't synch now due to your inaction and come back to them later.  Show at least some progress.  I, for one, don't care at all about any exciting new features until the basics are up and working, and that means bringing wallets online, bringing the website itself online and allowing withdrawals.

Some might choose to trade once they have their coins.  I, for one, will be withdrawing instantly and running to a more professional exchange.

Now get back to work.

When is the last time you even attempted to log in to your account? I ask because if you had, you would realize that the site is offline. But anyway, I will attempt to respond to your nonsensical ravings one at a time....

1) Every solvent coin that has a wallet that syncs has been repaid. Do you forget that CryptoRush hosted the most obscure coins that nobody else would touch? Therefore, following your own logic the solvent coins that sync have been repaid and we are done here.

2) Read the OP. I posted an update as soon as I took over the coin audits. It has been a few weeks now. I have been hunting down working nodes for each wallet which has no connections to the network. Some of the wallets have been as simple as they need an update (remember, these wallets were all downloaded last April and any available funds were transferred to the new wallets to salvage any funds left in them). Others do not connect because the only nodes publicly posted are in a coin's ANN thread and those nodes are no longer relevant. We are very aware that bringing wallets online is essential to successfully repaying, and even more simply, MOVING coins. Why do you not have certain coins back? Because the wallets are not online and there is no way to possibly move them without connections to the network. Instead of just talking, try reading and comprehending what I wrote. If you don't, then you fall into the aforementioned troll category that has no clue what is actually going on. Though your long response may look pretty, it is full of words that are repetitive and make absolutely no sense if you read what I wrote this morning. Try and keep up.

3) I am completely aware of how we should be bringing wallets online. The process you mention is exactly what has been done over the last (almost) year. I bring a new set of eyes to the audit and have done the exact steps you mentioned. Again, I publicly asked for any user out there to offer up nodes that we may not be able to find. Instead of offering any help, you repeat the same things over and over which offer up absolutely zero help for the cause, other than to hear yourself rant.

4) Apparently you misunderstood what I meant by, "There are a total of 3.7 million POT on CR 2.0 waiting to be claimed and never have been. At the time of the hack, the approximate value was $66,000 USD." Let me rephrase that for you... There are a total of 3.7 million POT on CR 2.0 waiting to be claimed and never have been. At the time of the hack, the approximate value was $66,000 USD. The coins were released, waiting for people to log in and claim them. They were never claimed and were still sitting in CR's account opposed to the individual user's accounts.

5) By exciting things happening I was referring to world changing events, not site related events. I realize you particularly loved the color scheme change which occurred because you will not stop mentioning it, but I guess you loved it so much that you missed the 50-ish other updates that have occurred since then. I'm am starting to wonder if you ever actually logged into the site or just complained about it.

6) Unfortunately for you, being a demanding (entitled) person on the internet is perceived as trolling. In fact, it is essentially the same thing unless you can bring up a valid point, which you failed to do. We have had this conversation before. There are things which cannot be mentioned publicly at the moment. If I could tell you everything going on, I would. Your reaction would probably be along the lines of, "Ohhhhh, I'm such an ass...." As much as I would love to, I cannot and will not. It is not worth the potential fustercluck just to make you realize the way you are acting is unfounded. Furthermore, I do not care one bit what you may think of me. This is not about my feelings. My post should have made that clear. I posted this morning for those who actually want to be updated on our current situation. As little information as I was able to offer up, I still wanted to let the general public know that we are stuck in a situation that we are unable to elaborate on at this time. It sucks, but it is what it is.

7) Which message are you referring to by, "Even this message says "we haven't done anything but might do something soon."?" Clearly you were not referring to my post because I stated in plain English that there is a lot going on, we just can't post publicly what those actions are. Doing so could damage all of our progress.

8 ) Speculate all you want, but don't spew it publicly in our forum as if it were truth. Again, if we COULD say more, we WOULD. Do you think we keep quiet about certain things for fun? Do you think having to respond to you is fun? Is there someway you thought I woke up this morning thinking, "Hmm, I sure hope I get to deal with THAT guy today..." Simple answer, no. Do you want what is best for yourself and every other user or would you rather we blab about all of the secretive things going on behind the scenes which will get you to each user's desired outcome as quickly as possible?

Understand this: I lost absolutely nothing in the hacks last year. Why am I here? I decided to join a group of great guys and do what I can to help right the wrongs perpetrated by a couple different cowards who decided they needed your money more than you do. You seem to think you are entitled for some reason, and you are not. Do any of us have to do this? No we do not. We all could have let CryptoRush die last year and everyone would be screwed. Did we? No, we did not. We are the only reason you have the slightest CHANCE of seeing your coins again. How are we repaid? By having to post responses like this which essentially say "STFU"

You have absolutely no idea what is going on and talking on a public forum to make yourself feel important. If anything you had to say was relevant, I would certainly respond to it with the most respect I can muster. However, whatever thoughts rattle around in that skull of yours and the actual demeaning words that fall out of your mouth are either VERY different or you have lost your f-in' mind.
