Earlier I worked in the field of car maintenance, but in the winter I decided to fully engage in crypto currency, participating in bounty campaigns. And I did not regret it, I had a lot more time for myself and I started earning more money.
Holding the assumption of rationality, one is always expected to make the right decision in the right time. Giving all the importance to crypto and leaving your job behind does no sound a good decision either. One should always keep in mind that the crypto world is uncertain and the market can crash any time. This is just the market behavior but of course when the market is red, you cannot stay alive without consuming that can come from your side business.

Like the title says, i almost lost my regular job as a software developer today when my boss reviewed my work. The job has been able to economically provide a comfortable life for me and losing it would really be a big hit to my income. I almost lost it because i spent so much time learning about everything crypto (mining, trading, bounties, etc.).

Has anyone else experienced this? I just feel pretty lucky I was given another chance and want to remind other people that having a regular job is much better than relying on the volatility of cryptocurrencies. Make sure you prioritize your work!

I don't understand, why would your boss be mad at you for learning something new? I am assuming you were probably getting distracted during your work hours. Since your boss knows that you are crypto obsessed, why don't you take this opportunity to let your boss know the potential about the crypto currencies?
Anyways,  you shouldn't risk your real life job, since the profits you will be getting from crypto currencies isn't stable and you will be risking yourself financially.

Maybe is because you lack time management if not I don't see the study of crypto currency related activities that will take you that much time to the turn of you been treating of your job.

I feel sorry about what had happened to you, a second chance for accepting what you've been doing during your time at work which is none related to your day job. Yes, time management is what you need now, gathering or learning more all about the crypto currency, a market research, fundamentals, market stability would take time before we can understand this information specially fully.

Time management is the solution to this problem. If we know how to do things in order then we can easily juggle our regular job and sidelines.

To be fair, you almost lost your job because of not doing your job.

No judgment here, we all do it.
Right mate, his involvement in crypto is another source of income that needs attention most especially that he wanted to learn more on crypto..but the near fact that he get involved with it then he must be responsible in his actions inorder to do two things well.

When you are really growing in crypto, there are things that you won't be able to do anymore. Because crypto needs more of your time in order for you to learn the things here, it is not guaranteed that you'll know everything in an instant and that is why you need to focus in crypto a lot. And if you have a job while doing crypto, that is actually good since you have an extra source of income but be sure that you can handle both and don't be overwhelmed with the amount that you'll get from both jobs, just keep on working.

That almost seems very unfortunate and I am glad you get another chance to prove yourself worthy.

I personally have no job yet as I am a student but this will serve to me as an early warning to be responsible enough to balance my time to both my priorities. And yes, I would choose my career over cryptocurrencies in the future too.

true, I agree with you, routine work is very important when compared with the work in crypto, especially if the money we get from our work is very big.
in addition to crypto I also have work in the office, and I will not let go of my job. you must be smart in dividing the time do not let your work is neglected, especially if it has received a reprimand from your boss.
your experience will be a valuable lesson for me, hopefully we can divide the time between work and crypto.

You are lucky that you didn't lose your regular job because that is a huge loss for you since it is your main source of income and it is more stable than crypto. For me, you should have a time management in order to manage to do those two things. You should spend the day to your work if you are a morning shift and spend the night studying cryptocurrencies.

In my point of view, I am agree with you. You do not have to sacrifice your regular job because of the bitcoin or other crypto currency to earn lots of money. Although bitcoin can help you to your daily expenses or your financial problem, but its volatility and you do not know when its price rise again or how many days it will be stock on a low price. Its better to have a stable job to support your financial and do not rely on bitcoin because for me bitcoin is only a part time job. I think in order that you do not need to sacrfice your regular job just have a time management.

It is happen to me mate, having a huge time spend in crypto than of my office job but it won't reach the time that I'm losing interest with my job. Having a huge adjustment are really challenging part and it is the way we manage our time. If we can make it, everything will be fine.

but while you concern with job in crypto it give you much money, isn't it right.much people that working full time in many job ico's as bounty hunter or trader usually earn money equal with what they have done.

Sometimes when person earned big money through they tend to quit their regular job and instead rely on it, but this not right because just as the value of bitcoin is unstable and so is our work as bounty hunter treat your crypto work as your another work but make your job your priority

right, we make main job a priority, although the result is smaller than working in cryptocurrency. but we should be able to set the time for both to run. but if not, sometimes we have to choose one, and make a difficult decision

LOL, you’re so damn lucky that you didn’t get fired from work. You’re making a mistake by researching something that has nothing to do with your job. This is not the first time I’m seeing or hearing stories that are similar to this one. Last year, I heard about a man that was caught mining Bitcoin in his office and he got fired, there are other stories too. We shouldn’t be risking our regular jobs just because of Bitcoin. Stay with your job, you can do Bitcoin at any free time, maybe when you get home.

Having a passive income is really important, that is the reason why I never quit in my job ,crypto is risky so we need to have passive income while we are waiting for the pump of a coin .

Well you should br able to divide your time, and learning crypto could be time consuming and sometimes we can lose the track of time, if you already got a solid job then you should more focus on your daily job, and only learn crypto when you have spare time, I learn crypto whenever I am in home, I never mixed my crypto with my daily job, because it will sound unprofessional and although the earning from crypto is big, but I still need my daily job, so I always divide my time carefully
