If you are walking on the road and enjoying a nice day at the nearby park it's all because someone paid their taxes.
Taxes helps a lot , I have seen people frowning over about how they don't want to pay any taxes and as such.
Government ensures that if you earn over a certain amount then for sure you can contribute in the making of your country. It's only if you are able to.
Taxes helps in :

    Paying the salary of government employees
    Making of roads
    Public schools
    Parks run by the government
    Maintenance fees
    Making government hospitals
    Making high schools ... The list is endless

We all use all these services at one part of the life or other therefore we can just consider it a little payment for that .
People frown how government is corrupt , it is but not entirely if it was then you woont see new projects coming up in your town or city.

It's just our responsibility to pay taxes, we shouldn't run from it because it will more or so be used for everyone out there in your country , you are indirectly helping others too through paying them , the less advantageous ones.

Also one might say government can print all the money they need , but that's not the case ..the more money a government prints the lower the value of their currency gets which genrally have adverse effects in many sectors.

Its fine paying taxes as long as it goes onto the right hand, the reason why there are a lot of people who hate government is just because they are stealing money from the people.

"But who will build the roads" argument is really old and dumb, people are not some stupid monkeys who can't figure out things if no one guides them, there's nothing that can not be done privately and through voluntary cooperation (which is the same as privately). Roads, military, science and so on - all of it can and is done privately around the world. Government is exactly why Bitcoin was invented - you can't trust people with power and believe that they will do as they've promised, and even well-meaning leaders do stupid mistakes that cost billions. Reasons why we should pay taxes is for the sake of our country. Because government uses it for improving our country and building more government hospitals and government schools for us.

Although I agree that today's taxation is theft mostly, especially in non-democratic or in half-assed democratic countries, I don't think it's possible to build a society where every individual is independent from others. The thing is that the world is big enough to contain different kinds of people. And there are evil people from our point of view who are, at the same time, not evil but righteous from their perspective. Those people are able to sacrifice everything, freedom, amenities, well-being of their children and even their very lives for a "higher purpose". Their sole aim is war until victory or death. To confront them we need a strong country with a strong military and economy which takes a strong government to rule over. Otherwise a society of independent individuals, most of whom don't want to go to war (Who wants to go to war?) will be conquered and enslaved by those barbarians.

But this "strong government" shouldn't be only strong enough to protect itself from its own people while making wage slaves of them (what we can see nowadays mostly). The government should be absolutely transparent and open. Every citizen should have a right to check where their taxes are going. Thankfully that's not that hard to implement nowadays.

Actually, government is the root of all wars, they start them to grab resources, dominate other governments, to tighten their control over population. Also those wicked people that you've described use government to support their wars. You are right that regular people don't want to go to war, and without governments wars would be less common and far smaller, there would be no world wars.
Also, military forces can be private, and people can voluntary pay for the protection that they offer. And since military budgets are usually around 1% in most countries, the prices would be very affordable, especially with market mechanisms.

Taxes are implemented to be used for government project and programs. I agree to pay taxes if the government will have transparency in collecting and listing on where they will used the funds they collected from tax payers. My mom receives monthly benefits because of taxes. By her time its a pain in the ass paying for it, but now we thankful for it.

I agree with you. There are lots of expences that our government is facing and that is also for the goodness of the people in our society. Without taxes, there would be no budget that is being allocated to every project and sectors in our country and the people of our community might suffer about it as well.

I think that is quite an understatement to explain the importance of paying taxes, it is basically a critical foundation of the government to provide its citizens' general needs - money runs everything.

That’s truth that we need to pay our taxes. It’s also fair enough that in some countries government may compromise itself with inappropriate using of this money, which may push people to refuse paying what they obligated to. If everyone went ahead to do things personally then there won't be any scope of a systemized channel and possibilities of having endless problems won't be able to be ruled out , at the end of the day people are different everyone's different thus it's not easy for someone to say something like this .
