learn what being a "bag holder" means and try not to be one!

right now you are a "bag holder" because you have invested in a lot of useless altcoins and now that these coins are getting dumped you are losing money. what you should have done was to stop listening to idiots who are spamming everywhere and started using your own head. then you should have sold before the others to get the best price.

I am new to this forum, but i have been into crypto for more than a year. I am loosing some of my holdings due to the fall in prices of my coin and altoins. What should i do please.
Any advise that will be useful is welcome.
When you invest on a coin what is your goal? Did you decide to go for long term or short term? If long term you should be not worried about your money because you are aiming for huge profit that can be achieved waiting for a long period of time because there are still chances that those coins that you invested can still recover but not all coins can so it is still depends and it is much better if you invested on a potential coin. If you invested on a shitcoin you need a luck that the coin you bought will get pumped. I will suggest that better hold until it recovers.

Wait and be patient. But also plan in advance on what you will do if coins go really down. Think. If your coins are from bounty, have a base price that you think your coins should be valued. If the market price reaches that certain point, better to exchange it rather than hold it and price will go down.
If its from exchange or trading, you need to hold it for so long until you will earn from the value you bought it from.

I think you don't study the market before you invest, there's time for bull market there's also time for bear market, so you needt to study it and learn the best time for investment and time to sell your investment.

As I can see you are in the state of panicking not literally just in your mind which you are thinking so much of it but it is a good thing you ask.

You are an investor so the best option to do it to hold if in any case you bounty a BTC or any coin, but let's stick which bitcoin as an example.

2.0 Bitcoin, you bought it at a price of 8K USD but bad timing for the bitcoin market which you the value decrease to 5 percent because of that you are thinking what will you do? as others spoke of you must hold and stay calm.

Here is a link of mine that helped some traders and investors please read this os for a trader or a investor.

It is hard to give an advice. If you hold the coins are not worth your chance is very low. Only time will give you the knowledge you need to make a profit. And also need luck.

if you believe in crypto and do not want to lose the money you use as an investment you should keep the coins you have today because the next few months the market will grow back

Although, it might appear as if you are loosing your money, but i would say that you are still on a right standing inasmuch as you are still holding those coins and also that if the coins you are holding are good ones, then you need not to panic. Just be rest assured that if you can be patient and do not need the money urgently, you can still hold and later be in profit.

From my perception, firstly you should check the current situation of the market & your investment. If you can hold your cryptocurrencies which are at the top level then in future profit from.it is obvious. If you urgently need money then you can seel them otherwise keep them with you and let them grow. Know the platform from your perception, make it your own platform & reach to the peak with your cryptos.

It's very simple, do not panic. It's winter on the market. Keep your tokens until the market grows. When the market is at its peak, sell some tokens and fix profit, after growth there is always a correction and this is an excellent reason to buy tokens at a lower price.

If money is not needed at this stage, it is better to hold coins, then there are options that they will rise in price!

If I were to be in your shoes, I will simply hodl the coin for a while because the market will definitely bounce back. Selling in fear that will lose more money if you hodl would mean you losing some of your investment.

There is no sense in selling my assets after the market falls. It remains to keep coins and wait until the situation on the market improves. If possible, buy more.

take the existing experience of your defeat, you do not have to back down and give up. if you want to always get back the profit you can re-look for tokens or coins that have the potential to be used as a material trading or investment for your profit is always awake.

How do you say that you are loosing some of your holdings ?
One can only lose if he/she has sold their holdings in a loss which I strongly don't recommend. If you think your portfolio is going in a loss, keep on holding to whatever you have. The prices in crypto keep on going up and down so don't worry and just wait until your portfolio goes up and keep on holding until the gains satisfy. The harsh truth is that, crypto trading is not meant for panic sellers and weak hearted people.

I would advise you that you should  be a little more patient. Though, it very painful and discouraging seeing most of the coins loosing price value in the market recently . But all I know is that the market will be green again and values of coins will be regained. Hence, try to still hold your coins a little more because very soon the market price will rise again and you will recover all you have lost. Be encouraged to hold your coins a little more you will soon smile.

From my point of view, I think you neglect to study and research your choice coin for investment prior to make a decision for investing. Dig down all the details you need to know and it's previous performance in the market and once your done with it, then you are ready to put money for your investment. Bearish market is normal in the crypto world and during this time, you should have to hold your coins and wait for the recovery of the price until it will stabilize.

If you have been in the crypto for more than a year, it's silly to ask such questions. At least this is the third major correction since that time. And you ask yourself every time the question "what to do"? I think it's been a while before you could answer this question yourself Undecided

Expect price in the market may comes into bear and bullish trend. The thing that you have to do is to wait or hold, patient is your need. Actually all of my coins was in downtrend and I am also losing so I just decides to be more patient and wait to recover the value.
