Compiled the windows QT wallet from source with updated libraries (boost, openssl etc.). It's working very well for me, blockchain downloaded fast and wallet synced. Transaction of Dimecoins from cryptsy to the wallet and vice versa working too and very fast. Is there an official dimecoin site with updated links to source-code, official mac and windows wallet etc.? If not, I could build one. BlockExplorer somewhere? And I want to try some dimecoin-mining. Which mining pool you can recommend? Can I solo mine? Which mining software to use for windows? Thanks and best regards, peme |

I am behind 2 routers, but both without firewalls active and not filtering any ports. Can I check somehow if the communication to the port 54093 or 2200 is the problem? Thanks for your help, peme I have been able to mine other coins without any connection problems. With GPU-Miners like cgminer it's working very well without any problems. Then I tested different CPU-Miner on QuarkCoin - and I get the same errors as with DimeCoin ....so I think that my Windows-PC is wrong. Perhaps I do not have the right CPU. The problem is that the minerd-CPU-Miner does not work on my PC. Mining DimeCoin using the solo-mining-function from the wallet is working well. I did set up a Linux Ubuntu Server, compiled DimeCoin wallet from source....now synchronising. I will test the P2P-Pool mining with this Ubuntu-PC. Is there somewhere a mining-profitability-calculator for DimeCoin? I see some Dimecoin sells for 0.00000006 LTC at cryptsy. Perhaps from a multipool? (when LTC-price and BTC-price are sinking, the sells at 6 seem to stop) |

Interesting trading volume at cryptsy and the cheapest coin in cryptsy litecoin-market. Should I buy more or not? Wallet is working very well and transactions are very fast.
What do you think?

Dimelord and Ahab, are the only two I would trust morally speaking. |

After reading the dimecoin threads I decided that the Dimelord source code at github is the correct one, compiled it and it's working well for me. What is with dimecoin.org and this melech-source code? Is it part of that scam? If yes, then it would make sense to have dimecoin.rocks with correct details: link to the Dimelord-Source, links to compiled wallets based on that, no-scam-mining-pools etc... There will be the succsessfully compiled dimecoin-qt wallet using the sourcecode of Dimelord here: https://github.com/Dimelord/dimecoinBut I did not check the source code yet! I will publish this and the mac wallet at dimecoin.rocks within the next days. But I want to check the source code first to be shure that there is everything ok. With a code comparison tool like examdiff I will compare against quarkcoin source code. So I can see all changes fast. I will also add a paperwalletgenerator for dimecoin. I might make dimecoin pool, put a 2% fee on it to contribute towards the server costs. Twenty dollars a month for a reliable server and 2gb of RAM. Basically, Digi Ocean.
Ideally, someone else would do it and try to wrestle the grip Lulu and his lille (nej, små) venner have on things.
Dimecoin has no developer. This is why it is in such a mess.
Anyone interested in rescuing it, appeal to developers you know, and not to people like ex-crypto.
It's a fantastic challenge.
