There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Wow why all the interest in DIME lately? ASICS? I think there is a whale out there that has about 60,000,000,000 DIME ready to dump. Look on the block chain. If it wasn't for that........ good luck. Ps been mining this for 1 1/2 years..... oooo the whale isn't me. And that whale maybe legally bound to hold the coins.

On Cryptopia DIME markets are paused. "We have been contacted about a bug in the trasaction code for DIME, Markets are paused until the developer releases a fix" When will this bug be fixed? Dime is an interesting currency that is listed on c-cex.com, cryptopia.co.nz and yobit.net Hope there will be increased interest and development of this coin.

Hello, a bug in the source code DIME is resolved in the new version 1.6.9.0 https://github.com/dimecoinproject/dimecoin/issues/3repository here: https://github.com/coins7ex/dimecoin but exchanges don't accept releases from new developers . (changes tested at: 7MaYRJH3Bgj6rpjYTGLjtvh8PRAHRWkoAq 7JCygwB5US2ZEHfCNwFCqo7ba4SpMXJ9LL ) The original developer abandon the project 3 years ago. So it is not possible to wait for the answer from him. Only someone new can fix it.

Are there any pools still up for DIME?
Last one I used was on Cryptopia, but since that's been removed I can't find a working pool, any help? Thanks in advance!

About a month and a half ago mineblocks.eu said it had added dimecoin (on the last page). I don't have any experience of mining so I can't give a qualified opinion on the pool, but its twitter is quite active with tweets about all the new coins it keeps adding.
