IS there any active dev for this coin or will it be added to bigger exchanges like bittrex or polo?

Polo ask for 100 BTC Daily Volume to list a coin.. Maybe we can go Bittrex

IS there any active dev for this coin or will it be added to bigger exchanges like bittrex or polo?

Original dev was gone and DimeCoin website offline since months.
DimeCoin has been taken over now by community.
The new website, online since last friday, is http://www.dimecoin.rocks/. There you can find a working windows wallet, links to exchanges, mining pools, block explorer, ...
http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/dimecoin/ is now linking to the new website.

User alihammad did create a new facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/dimecoinnew

Next steps are:
- release of working DimeCoin paper wallet this week to keep DimeCoins safe
- language translation optimization of the german, turkish and  spanish language translations on the website (will be implemented over the weekend) (thanks to users onedimeatatime, alex219 and N00BonICE)
- compiling MAC wallet and release it for download on the website (within the next weeks)
- bootstrap for easy wallet installation

I am not a C++ expert but can do some easy changes. Everyone within the community is very welcome to support DimeCoin development.

Adding DimeCoin to bigger exchanges would be great. As soon as the DimeCoin value and transaction volume is rising it will get interesting for bigger exchanges.
In the past exchanges added coins by user votes. I do not know how poloniex and bittrex do add coins. But if it is still with user votes, the growing DimeCoin community can help.

best regards,
peme

Maybe at cryptsy it has been traded much higher years before, but I cannot find a historical chart.
Nobody nows the DimeCoin price in the future. But there is a lot of potential regarding the low market cap if you compare it with other coins.
Mooncoin has been nearly dead some years before and then community made mooncoin great. Let's go the same way with DimeCoin together.

Some advise please.

I did download the wallet for windows os, have let it sync so it was updated but after I closed the wallet it wont open again.
I only see the screen with 'loading block index...' that's all, even after waiting for a long time nothing happened and wont open the wallet itself.

Anyone any idea what to do?

what does the debug.log in you appdata/roaming/dimecoin-folder show?

Please rescan the dimecoin wallet index starting it in the command line with: dimecoin-qt.exe -rescan
It will take some minutes to rescan the blockchain.

If nothing helps, please delete all files within the blocks folder to load the blockchain again from scratch.

But before you do this please delete the debug.log , start again and post the new created debug.log here or send me a pm please.

Thanks and regards,
peme

Seems to be a yobit problem. Over the last days I bought DimeCoins on cryptopia and novaexchange, transferred them into paper wallets. Did also transfer DimeCoins from paper wallet to windows wallet and did also mine in both mining mining pools (AikaPool and Mining Dutch) and transferred mined DIME into my windows wallet. Everything did work smooth and fast.

DimeCoin paper wallet genarator online and tested:

You can find it here on http://www.dimecoin.rocks/ within the new "Recent Posts" section.
I will also send it to https://walletgenerator.net/ so that it will be online there too hopefully soon.

When withdrawing DIME from novaexchange you get this warning:

IMPORTANT! For instant withdrawals of DIME please withdraw
maximum 20 000 000 DIME at a time. A limitation in the wallet
requires manual payments on withdraws bigger than 20 000 000 DIME.

Yobit seems to have this limitation too and they have to send your DIME manually.

I think I may have some DIME from years ago.

Are the same coins from the start valid.  I'm just making sure there hasn't been a coin swap program etc before I start.

Yes, they are valid. Before sending all your coins to an exchange or into a paper wallet please test it with a small amount. You will see that it is working well and very fast.  Smiley

Thanks.  I don't think I have that many.
I will just download the new wallet from the site and replace the wallet.dat and see what happens.
