where on earth you been gatra? ...
just ignoring the posts and questions? ... not like you at all mate ...
whats going on? ... you always seemed a reliable person to go to ...
#crysx
sorry, been really busy trying to get riecoin code up to 0.14.1 and trying to get new exchanges I don't know about those comments regarding a repository that got deleted, I just don't know what they are talking about. Riecoin's repo in github is where it has always been, and any PR is welcome. Regarding the miner, dga already posted his repo. Best regards! Gatra that was me ... i commented about YOUR repos getting deleted ... ... busy? ... damn do i know how you feel ... just thought id ask as you seem to be one of the more 'reliable' devs around - which is why we would have no issues working with you if there is room in the schedule you have ... we would need a good lengthy discussion if thats the case ... as for the exchanges - forget them mate - seriously ... exchanges are something that will happen WHEN the coin itself is stable - developed / developing - and 'community enabled' ... besides - as bad as poloniex have been with their issues - its still a massive thing to be on there in the first place ... so dont worry - your focus to the development is much more important than the exchanges ... do what you will of course - as these are only opinions NOT directives ... if we can help in anyway - we will ... but i can only say that so many times ... #crysx

Do we have a current list of nodes - I've seen a few different ones posted and wondered what most recent are so I can include them in default list.

The projection of Riecoin looks very beautiful. Now 5000sat and liquidity very low, soon we'll see it around 10k sat.

This coin jumped on my radar and I am going to buy some and sit on it and see what it does. So as you can imagine my step one was to go ahead and download the wallet aka Riecoin Core version v0.10.2.0-gf192dab-beta (64-bit). Just out of curiosity I thought I would fire it up to mine...
I simply opened the console and changed setgenerate to true and then checked things with getmining info and for sure it's mining up a storm.
I haven't mined a block yet and not sure if I will who knows but I would ask the forum members is there anything else I need to do besides change the setgenerate to true?
Thanks for the advice!

You won't find a block using the wallet miner. (Or, if you do, you're the luckiest person ever. :-) Download the real miner instead. It's something on the order of ten thousand times faster than the default one in the wallet.

So yeah I determined my hash vs. the total network hash rate and did some quick calculation and figured I could mine a few blocks a day but I bet you're right and I can't mine a drop! Now, I don't care so much for pool mining I really like solo mining and on that note could you be so kind as to let me know the name of this miner you recommend and even better a link to it so I can download it and check it out... Thanks for your advice I appreciate it!

Are you cpu mining and what processor are you using? Thanks a bunch!

I'm just CPU mining/ there isn't GPU mining for this. I'm running a Xeon 5650 6 Core/12 thread @2968Mhz using 11 threads.

Here's a link to the miner. https://github.com/dave-andersen/fastrieThere is also a stratum branch available for pool mining. I would estimate around 10 RIC /day. Keep in mind, there is no good way to calculate RIC hashrate. Even to mine 1% of all blocks solo you would need probably 25 or more Ryzen CPU's Due to variance you would need to mine for a few days to determine your average RIC/day. give us a try at uBlock.it, we ban all suspected botnet miners which results in better payouts for low hashrate users.

I've just raised two pull requests - one to update node list to include current nodes. Another to implement a compilation fix someone else reported on Github. Rather than me recompiling binaries/etc. I'll just leave these to be merged into the official tree and released. I've also created another full node for the network which I've included in this pull.

I'm at approx 0.50 for my share/s (across all miners) which means yours is approx 44%. If I pro-rata my last week of earnings to that it would equate to ~24RIC/day but there were a couple of notably good days last week. I also had around 24 hour downtime due to internet issues so that may still be reflective. I'm curious if we've ever had any calculations as to the profitability of purchasing a machine to mine RIC? I've run a few calculation through from second hand quad-CPU Xeons on eBay (dirt cheap - sub ?300 for 100GHz compuate), new systems to something like a second hand AM3+ overclocked. Not convinced there's a break-even point unless there's another use for the hardware. I'm lucky at the moment in that I have a fairly decent virtualisation lab in my house that I'm using all spare compute on but would like to increase mining capacity. Would be interested to know if anybody has purpose-created miners rather than just using spare compute they have lying around and whether it makes financial sense rather than just for fun.

locate your wallet folder and edit ( or create if it doesnt have one ) the riecoin.conf file ... #crysx
thanks for the help, so i looked in C:\Users\<_me_>\AppData\Roaming\Riecoin found the wallet.dat, however I could not find any riecoin.conf OS: windows 10 64bit You need to create the riecoin.conf file yourself. Or you can use the console that can be found under the help > debug window and enter the following. addnode "172.94.61.249" "onetry" ty that works for me. it start to download.

!!!New OTC exchange for blocked-on-exchanges currencies!!!
I am pleased to announce that I'm starting a new OTC exchange project for blocked-on-exchanges currencies all over the world. This is a P2P centralized space where holders of different blocked-on-exchange currencies come together to trade for USD or against each other.
My inspiration comes from hearing about the banned currencies based on cryptonote protocol, which were deemed to be untradable by several leading exchange platforms. I came up with the idea to create a OTC lifeline for these blocked-on-exchange currencies. And now I invite everyone who needs to change and transfer their blocked-on-exchange coin to try my service!
Guarantee: I will act as the sole middleman holding all incoming deals, which will be verified from the both sides via email and skype. The transaction is 100% secure and does not require an ID. If you don't feel comfortable exchanging through me, we can use any other trustworthy party from trusted bitcointalk member who will take part in the entire process. Terms of Exchange: Minimum transaction amount - $500 Fee - 1% from the deal
Write me to know more!
