so if the numbers of miners do not increase and the solo miner continues what? why the solo miner do something like that and eventually kill his own coins as well ?
I'm not sure why they would do this either but it has already been done in the past. Look at the orphan rate between 2016-11-14 and 2017-02-02, they nearly killed the coin during that time. This is what originally prompted me to open a pool. As of now it looks like hashrate distribution is more stable since my last post. Just to be clear, the Riecoin network is actually running better than ever but having more users would greatly help the market Please help spread the word about this coin and see if we can get some more miners on board. Well, i added two more miners. one actually found 2 blocks already but apart from that i cant do anything more

I have the same exact issue with a dual Opteron 2376. This happens most of the time but about 10% of the time it actually works for awhile, and stops again usually after a difficulty re-target. I haven't done any debugging on the issue, figured it wasn't that fast of a cpu anyway

You will need to compile the miner using the stratum branch. https://github.com/dave-andersen/fastrie/tree/stratum/xptMinerThen join a pool and start mining, pretty simple actually. There are also windows binaries available on my pool. http://ublock.it/xptminer.zipWith dual e5's it will be best to set CPU affinity and bind multiple processes to individual NUMA nodes (with cluster-on-die enabled) or sockets (with CoD disabled) for the best performance.

People should refrain from using "hashrate" to compare CPU's with Riecoin, share-rate is a much more accurate indication of performance. Unfortunately I do not have personal experience with that CPU, but i'm sure someone will chime in.

Is there a desktop wallet available for Riecoin?
I never took time to investigate how to get my RIC out of exchange.
As the price is low, would be a good time to accumulate some and wait for the next up ;-)

thanks for sharing, I am glad there is one. Hope I will be able to install it and sync without issue ;-) In fact, the last link, which should be for a bootstrap, does not seem to work. How to use this link please?

Hello, could anyone tell if Riecoin Dev is active? I searched the forums on the site and they are all outdated and some do not work! Why do the Chinese have interest in Riecoin if she's been asleep for years?

Dev was around a few weeks ago working with Poloniex support. I hear dev is also busy working on 0.14.1 node release. Riecoin's primary function is mining, finding large prime constellations. It's likely popular in China due to it's mining profitability. Thanks to the miners and pool operators for keeping the network running smoothly.
