Damn the summer can drag when there’s no football on. Finally the PL is back and it hasn’t disappointed so far. Massive win for Sunderland today, I am happy for them.

Great start for team that came from Championship after winning play-offs, but lets see if they can continue winning against Burnley next round.
I cant wait to see if Man United will continue playing poor like last season, or they can do something more against Arsenal tomorrow.

LFC you have a nice advantage in first round, but there are four more matches left to be played.

I was surely not expecting a goalless draw in the early kick off, i actually expected Villa to win the game because of Newcastle's struggles in the transfer window and the Isak 'saga'. I hope we see goals in the other games that is to come today, i am especially looking forward to Woves v City today, i want to see the team Pep starts today and how they play with all the new faces, he likes to tweak a lot, so can't wait for what he has in store this season.

I think even neutral fans are starting to curse Isak. It seems he has harmed not only himself and Newcastle but everyone in general. I am surprised that the head coach continues to insist that he is waiting for the situation to be resolved and the road back for Isak is open.
Wolves are weak, probably not the best indicator to draw conclusions about City's strength, at least I hope so, because 4-0 is a bad score if you root against City

Only 2.5 points collected after 5 games, haha. I tried to predict the scores by relying on the odds a little but no dice... There are 63 people in the pool and it's going to be such a competitive one.

The league is just starting so no need to panic so far. Things will begin to take sharp after the first 10 games. What I'm just trying to do for now is get results not concerned about the exact points because with chasing that, I might get the scoreline wrong. Big wins from Man city, Sunderland and Tottenham today. Tottenham are one team I'll keeping an eye on this season because I believe they'll do well. Unfortunately I haven't watched any of the opening games so far but won't be missing my club's opener tomorrow against crystal palace (that's Chelsea Vs Crystal palace). I won't be expecting anything less than a win from them.

A not bad start to the season. I'm looking forward to watching the Manchester United-Arsenal match tomorrow. Amorim will have a different attacking line. Mbeumo, Cunha and Sesko. I actually don't know whether Sesko will be in the starting eleven right away.

This is actually common for most players who are talented. They don't want to waste their time for years at a team without big targets. Yes, this isn't good on Newcastle side but it doesn't look like they have much choice left.

Sigh. So some storylines have not changed, at least at half time for today's kickoffs I can say anyway. Wood still can score, Forest still find a way, Palmer's still cold, and Chelsea still struggle. Ekitike assists and scores on his Prem League debut, just like Nunez But hey, no stories from the first game of the season ever stay the same.

Don't sell yourself short. You just need to string together 2 or 3 good rounds and then you only need defend your position. That's the Superbru way.

Mad props on rocking 11.5 tip & seated top of the puddle, that is straight 🔥 (I hardly got 5 pts, lol). As for Man Utd vs Arsenal, Ruben Amorim's recently developed Flying-V attack, Sesko, Mbeumo, Cunha is eye nicy & could nab Arsenal off guard at Old Trafford. however Arsenal are stock-still ample favorites with their neat midfield & Gyökeres all set to pounce. My money's on a close one, leaning Arsenal win or draw. Enjoy the ride, champ!

It's only the first game... I can't judge yet, even though City won big, they will definitely face difficulties later on, and will they be able to overcome them?

World Champions Chelsea football club, I don't know what that was today but y'all were total ass from the beginning to the end- too early to judge but if we don't get proper CBs before the transfer window ends, we're doomed.

Have all the best attackers and yet can't break Crystal Palace low blocks. Bring me Garnacho and Simon and do it very quickly.

Both Chelsea and Palace were quite offensive recently, I didn't expect a game like this - especially from Chelsea. All their offensive players were terrible today, they didn't create anything at all.

An error from Bayindir currently separating Arsenal and United - in another boring game to watch. Hopefully it picks up in the 2nd half, not an exciting PL Sunday so far.

United? Nah. Saka's going to steamroll them.

Saka has barely been able to get into the game, Gyokores either. We got the trusty threat from corners to give us a lead, but it is a very tight one and we have not played wehave bell. On the balance of play, United have been the better side on the balance of play and could still win this.

Old Trafford is never a comfortable place to go to and I will take a scrappy 3 points if we can get it.

The players' desires are understandable, but it is naive to want a huge salary + guarantees of this salary (long-term contract) + options to leave at any time, ignoring the contract. This is simply childish behavior. Frankly, the footballers are simply fucking nuts (not all, but some); they have zero self-awareness and responsibility. They just don't realize that these are golden times for them (due to the fact that UEFA is fragmented in terms of business), if it were the NHL or something like that, their salary would be 10 times less (because of ceiling) and they would have to sweat 10 times more.

So Chelsea 70% possession however 3 pick outs from 19 attempts... lol. they were A1 inefficient up front, 0 pattern 0 creativity and 0 rhythm. Meanwhile, Calafiori put Arsenal ahead after a sloppy set piece corner from Bayendir. I could see super chaos, not anythng confidence boost for a big goalkeeper. both of these match were days of rust & feelings, yeah no pinnacle of Sunday's relaxation. Agreed hopefully the second half or later matches will start some realistic fire, because today? Nah.

Yeah, United look better than they were last season with their new signings, but they didn't create anything today, i cannot remember them having any big chance in that game, they have to improve on that. Arsenal were solid in defense as usual, as soon as they got that goal, they were going to defend it until the end.

Over all, the game was not the most entertaining, United tried to make it a good watch, but they were not able to do anything useful in the Arsenal box.

It is still Arsenal that they played against and I think they have created chances here and there. They were superior in all relevant statistics except for scoring that goal of course... Obviously that is the most relevant statistic, but it is not like they frighteningly bad and had no plan. I just think they lack a world class striker. They had 22 shots and 7 shots on target. If you don't score then, the striker position is probably worth taking a look at. I still can't believe a player like Zirkzee is with them. That says a lot about their transfer policy.

its Crystal Palace, it's either we're losing or settling for a point they're always on our neck everytime we play against them. The only way to kill them is to score early to force them out. Our midfield was completely marked out and every space blocked. Happy with the point anyway.

@Igetbotz at the top in the premier league pool what is going on, and TBH what is going on in the first round. Brentford had the most shocking loss, and worse, they had what a lot of people thought was a better keeper than Alisson. Even Arsenal won but the stats showed Manchester United had way more shots. The Premier League is back and same old story of Liverpool and Manchester City looking like the best teams?

They had some nice shots from the distance, but this proves that they may not have a center forward like the others do. This is what they had to offer in 24/25:



Rasmus Højlund with 4 goals in 32 matches. They are trying to do something about it, but getting into this new season with a home match without scoring must be discouraging for the next matches. A result of 3-4 would have been better than the 0-1.

This is true, Id rather have 1 shot and 1 goal compared to double digit shots that actually came from long range shot that got denied easily by Raya

Statistically we are abit better than last season but we lack the finishing touch as always, I have some hope on the three new signings and they were quite good so yeah Im kinda optimist that we will win against Fulham next week. Goalkeeper is still a problem for us, we probably wouldnt be able to sign Donnarumma so yeah we gotta stick with either Bayindir or Onana for the next 6 months
