He's been key in all of our last 3 games. That ball control vs Bournemouth, the dummy vs Newcastle and now a Gerrard-like free kick for huge 3 points.
I don't want to waste him long-term on RB but yeah - he's been the standout player of our season so far.

Happy to see that we can play a solid defensive game as well - it annoyed me how many chances we were giving away in the opening 2 games.

Arsenal are a good team but Arteta is no negative. If I was an Arsenal fan he would annoy me so much. They have some great players but his style of play is so defensive.

3 wins from 3 and the mighty LFC sit in 1st place as we head into the international break.

Liverpool had a really challenging match today. Arsenal were better for like 60 minutes or so. But I must say Liverpool still defended them well and prevented a goal.

After that minute Liverpool started to be more effective in offense which brought about the winning goal as well. What a free-kick it was by Szoboszlai! This time Salah was really terrible and couldn't make goal contribution. His first touches were really bad.

Just one round has passed, and Liverpool's odds have immediately increased by 9%, Arsenal's odds have fallen by less than 2% (which makes sense since there will be a return game), and City's odds have fallen by 6%. It will be interesting to see if Liverpool's odds improve once Isak's deal is completed, as it looks like they have already bought the title  2.20 looks like free money now, no? At worst, Arsenal can be hedged, the others don't look like contenders.

Really solid signing there man. Congrats!    I thought this wouldn't happen because Newcastle wasn't still able to find a replacement. But they've also signed Wissa and let Isak go...

I guess Ekitiké would continue to be a starter for a couple of more games. But his place in the starting 11 is under danger as of now. Isak is a really deadly centre-forward. I expect him and Liverpool to work out well.

Newcastle United will get Solidarity fee of £5m pushing the entire package to £130m  and there's also Guehi, how's any one ever going to compete with a team that broke two world records in one transfer window? We can't compete, the game is gone.

We used to be like you, now I'm jealous, how is Sunderland and Burnley supposed to compete after you spent over €500m

We really are, Liverpool teams is just filled with stars now and with the right management, I don't see anyone stopping them from retaining the title. Isak is a great signing, he's definitely giving Liverpool lots of goals. I don't understand why Chelsea didn't go for Isak and it was Delap that we could settle for and he's already injured.

Our seasons is already taking a hit and the best we can do as a club is begging Jackson. I really miss the days of ibrahimovic, we would had been back in the market looking for a purific striker immediately Delap got injured.

Love the signings so far by Liverpool, this has to be one of the best summer market for you guys. I don't care about all the noise of Liverpool spending so much, they're all worth the money being spent.

I would say in parallel, the quotes appeared when the deal was not formally completed, but most likely Isak was already taken into account in the quotes since now the quotes are the same - 2.20.

Him and Ekitike in the same transfer window is not something that makes a lot of sense to me though - but we'll see what the plan is there. Ekitike showed he can play - just not 100% sure these 2 fit together and that would be a really expensive rotation.

He is a great signing. If he can stay fit, he will slide in perfectly into the Liverpool system. It is a perfect deal all round, for Isak, Liverpool and also Newcastle with the amount of money they got, loser here as you mentioned and as I said before is Ekitike. I see no way they fit in to the same starting line up as some people are suggesting.
I know the whole talk about having a big squad, but for the price tag, quality and potential he has, he does not want to be a rotation player and the club does not get enough for their investment. I see him wanting to leave in less than 2 seasons.

Ridiculous how the Guehi deal fell through and also the whole drama between Jackson, Chelsea and Munich. This is the reason I support players whenever they put themselves first, cause the club always put themselves first over their careers.

Glad the move went through because I couldn't have survived another season of seeing Jackson lead our front line. He'll do well at Bayern that's for sure because he'll be playing for the best club in the league. His team will have more possession of the ball and much won't be needed of him since Harry kane is the main man there. I just hope when the team need him, he steps up and not giving the type of performance he was giving at Chelsea. We need him to do well so Bayern can get him off our payroll. I don't need him back at Chelsea when the season loan is over. Chelsea can work with what they have now and if Delap's situation doesn't get better then we can go for a new striker in January.
