There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

Somebody please tell me how to turn off POS in my wallet.  All this Mint keeps showing up in my wallet for no reason.  I have a wife and 3 kids, so I am unable to grasp the concept of money coming in, vs out.  It's causing me serious situational anxiety and my psych bills are more than my Mint earnings.  I'm even considering a bounty for a solution.

All you guys whining about the price fluctuations should maybe invest in Monsato or Apple.  These great companies are much more stable and provide better moral examples to live by.

It ain't rocket surgery, for crying outside.

What are you talking about? Who are you talking to?!!

You.  Figure it out.
ME. He's talking, to me!

Check out this site for legit free BTC. It's like an hourly free lottery ticket that always pays out at least 300 satoshi, and could net you over .3 BTC if you're really lucky. Just gotta fill out a captcha each time. (basically a faucet with chance of real reward)

The dev is doing a great job, sorry to burst your bubble.   Have you seen the new website lately, that certainly cost money.   Have you seen all the hard work the dev team has down promoting on twitter, and everywhere else?  Over 1000+ followers.
The dev and the extended behind him. Extended team that you can join, just PM me.

What's the official word on the relationship between mintcoin and mintpal? Just asking for my info.
None. Just a happy coincidence that I explain here (Mintpal was trading other crypto before mintcoin - I was there).

I explain this here: http://david.latapie.name/blog/8-reasons-to-invest-in-mintcoin/

This coin is great, very undervalued. Fairest distribution ever, and will become energy efficient. One day does not break a long-term relationship. The long-term relationship for this coin is going up just look.
The price went up a lot, and is just correcting and consolidating. This might be a good time to consider buying. . . as it is approaching the red line.

Great points all around. It is plain to see by the graph that it is approaching if not under the buy now line soon. Can't lose proposition here. Besides just wait for your PoS stake to accumulate and we will soon know who is laughing last. What a wonderful time to be involved in Mintcoin.

And I don't care if other coins have PoS feature, Mintcoin implemented this 100X better! I have even seen proof of minting! That is incredibly exciting to see.
Could you elaborate on this? I am truly interested in knowing your opinion on how mintcoin implemented PoS better than other PoScoins.

Really appreciate the work you're doing with MINT. The website is A+++
Adding language options to the mintcoin website at the moment.

Will be available in Chinese tomorrow and many more languages following on from that.

Truly folks, a currency does not succeed on its merits alone but also on the amount of support it receives. I'd like to thank all the translator who contacted us!

I am starting to have my doubts about a rise again, I could be wrong as as always. I would like to hear from others, will this rise again? There was a halving Thursday-Friday right? I expected it to rise there but didnt.

People freaked out and panic sold when the halving didn't cause a change in price.  Roll Eyes

Yeah I can see that Smiley, I mean from the stable 40 it is down at 20 ish. I had a buy order at 20 but removed it to maybe buy lower. Will it go lower and in that case will it rise again? whats your thoughts?

That is actually a good thing as it flushed out the weak hands and put more into the hands of the faithful. Are you one of the faithful?

So, I've started a Free MintCoin giveaway account on twitter - https://twitter.com/FreeMintCoin

MintCoinTalk Forum info. thread: http://www.mintcointalk.com/index.php/topic,59.0.html

MintCoin is perhaps the first crypto to enable such long-term social media style giveaways.
Could you share with us the reason you believe so (honest question)? How it that different from Peercoin?

I liked your article! Don't hesitate to post more. The more traffic, the more people (including Google) will be interested and your mintcoins will be worth money.

Doesn't sound like PeePeeCoin for one thing and fast PoW that hasn't been screwed by ASICs yet like PPC, so much broader distribution, especially if you mined in the first few weeks when block rewards were high and network hash still less than 1-2 Gh and the big gpu farms hadn't noticed

Also i am still looking for help on creating the "How to get mints for dummies " guide, after all English is not my language and i could use a native speakers help !
I'll arrange the translator to come in. Leave some hours sleeping and it should be fine.

To all: mintcoin is more than a pump and dump. Tomorrow pump, later on dump but as kopam said, mintcoin already survived several pumps. Remember: mintcoin is a long-term coin. And it depends on you folks contacting merchants.

Still bagholding?

Remember people in this thread told you to hold at 40 satoshi...you could have doubled your investment.

Now we're going to 15 satoshi. See you there!

To avoid any further confusion, here is a list of all the future Mint fluctuations.  This is an open source list.  Please feel free to apply it for all other coins as well.
