Hey all, just starting to sync my Mint Wallet again from bootstrap (computer crashed and lost 1,000,000 mint coins plus other coins).
My bootstrap sync has been taking 2 days so far and i'm half way through.. does this seem normal or is it going slow.
Seems slow for a bootstrap to me but maybe this is to be expected?
Bootstrap.dat files takes days to import, and that is if it is current. No idea when the Mint Team last updated their official bootstrap.dat. OP says "Official bootstrap updated 4/5/16 to include all blocks up to 3/31/2016 23:59:00" For those of you that Time is actually an issue. You can use my Snapshot Service if you like, it ain't Mint Team Official Approved, but it Works (Kiklo Approved) and a SnapShot is the Fastest way to Sync. One more question, sorry - How do you use a snapshot? I may be able to figure it out. To be honest tho, to go ahead and do something that isnt approved by the dev team without knowing exactly what it is that i'm doing feels a bit sketchy. I'll probably be able to figure whats what with a bit of googling. Thanks again Kiklo!

MINT is being delisted from POLO on 9/5.
Hmm, That sucks, just saw it On 9/5/2016, the following markets will be delisted: ABY, ADN, BITUSD, CNMT, DAO, DSH, FIBRE, FLT, GAP, GRS, HYP, IFC, LQD, MCN, MINT, MMC, MNTA, PIGGY, PTS, SILK, SWARM, WDC, XC, XCR, XPB, XUSD, YACC. Trading Volume today is $ 3,946 Makes no Sense why they would drop Mint Has anyone from Mint Team contact Bleutrade or Poloniex exchanges and find out why the exchanges started dropping mint. $4 grand of trading volume in 24 hours, should be more than enough to warrant keeping Mint there, Weird stuff going on. FYI: That leaves https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/https://www.southxchange.com/

Myself and URSAY (MintyAllDay) have both put in tickets with Poloniex to try and get more details regarding their decision. Volume for MINT on Polo has been fairly good, with many days over 1 BTC in volume, and a whopping 50+ BTC in volume on July 3. Nobody on the team has been made aware of any issues or concerns from either exchange

some of these removals don't add up, after the community takeover they kept MINT on for 6 months or so with next to no volume and at 5 sats or below... MINT's volume has been decent lately and price has been steady, WTF ?? indeed, I know it's not huge volume but what do they expect? it's still active traders/users on their site. I don't get it.
HYP was getting between .4 - 5. btc a day in volume, not an active community but we're still trading

We're working to understand the issue so we can potentially reverse any removal. We'll be working on this throughout the day.

We still have Cryptopia. Wow this sucks though and such a sudden notice is so short. No reason? Killing the price apparently.

Oops, sry. Mis-read. Do the figures at coinmarketcap or coincap.io work for you? That was my whole point in asking. Those numbers are not accurate. I want the current and accurate coin count. The Cryptoguru block explorer is still syncing up but it is taking a while. Probably be next month before it's synced and shows the correct coin supply. Maybe this is part of the reason for them delisting frim Poloniex? Maybe they saw the Chainz explorer is obsolete and the coin supply count is stalled and so they think our coin is a shitcoin lol. But we are working on it. The other block explorers just aren't synced yet.

Also has there been a official response from poloniex yet? The fact that Poloniex is even conducting themselves in such a manner is telling of their character. It honestly makes me upset. Makes me not want to do business with them anymore at all, for any coin for that matter.

Hey minters! A lot has been going on recently that I'd like to address in the name of transparency. URSAY and cryptomommy have been working together to transfer mint related domains mintcoinofficial.com and mintcoinfund.com. After the transfer we decided it was best to shut down the sites as they existed for a number of reasons. Wordpress sites can be vulnerable to attack and we've had continued issues with the forums. An offline copy of the site exists and will be referenced when needed as we rebuild a new site based on the communities needs moving forward. Thanks to cryptomommy for helping make mintcoin what it is today and helping us transition smoothly. I don't believe anyone on the team received any warning in regards to the Bleutrade and recent Poloniex delisting announcements. We're working to communicate with Polo and other contacts to find out more and try to reverse any such delisting. You can still trade on Cryptopia, Bter, ShapeShift, and SouthXchange. Additionally, we're working to bring mint to decentralized exchange BitSquare. Are you a fan of Slack? We added a Slack group a couple weeks ago to switch things up a bit. Don't worry, we don't have plans to shut down any other particular social channel. We've even connected our irc and Slack channels to provide more options for the community. Wanna join? Sign up at mintcoin-slack.herokuapp.com2 years strong. Our roots are just now spreading and we're planted firm. Stay minty fresh my friends.
