Need to keep in mind people are jumping on the AuroraCoin and MazaCoin, some are selling
their coins (not just TakeiCoin) to buy those, plus Maza is also SHA256 which means a ton
of miners right now are diverting all their attention on that!

Things with Mr. Takei are moving very slowly, but they're moving. It's one of the set backs of trying to get a celebrity on board. It's not something that just happens immediately. I guess when someone has spent a lifetime building a name for himself there's more reservations about letting it be used. Understandable.

It will happen, in time. I would hope and think the next week or two. Cross our fingers, Edie thankfully is helping us get to him.

Maza established the price, the same price will be for Takei. So far devs of Takei worked just fine so only one step left to do to set the price at level where it supposed to be and we all know what needs to be done to get there. Most of the people just don't have patience and everyone things that huge things can happen in short period of time.

Block 159136 will be target for Kimoto Gravity Well fork. We will give everyone ample time to switch to the new wallet and ensure proper transition.

Please take a look at -datadir functionality in the new wallet. I have tried everything, but for me the TakeiCoin wallet (using v0.9.0.0) is the ONLY wallet out of 25 wallets I'm using where the -datadir option simply doesn't work. There are several other people that have the same issue, I'm 100% confident the problem is wallet-related.

I spoke with some people in the IRC already, none could fix the issue. So please, look into that as it would be great to have it fixed and finally working in the new wallet!

I will talk to the QT guy about this. He's in the middle of adding IRC to the wallet so he can look into it while working on that.

Network hash rate down almost into the teens TH/s, when it was steady at over 100 TH/s?  Price is sitting at half of what it was holding near last week.  Statements being made no longer seem like they "are" going to happen (like when cryptsy was coming), rather "may" take place now, or not (doubt is the problem), and "may" take many weeks.  Things looking more like a dream than reality, and price and mining reflecting. 

Wait and sees are very tough to sell. I'm still hopeful.

IMHO, building a coin to help people is a great idea. Unfortunately, how you bring it to fruition and enable it for the masses is not an easy road.

It sucks, yes, but sadly it's just how it is when it comes to this stuff. I agree with what you say at every level except for seeing things happen behind the scenes I can say that im completely reassured. It's taking far longer than we anticipated. Every possible step is being taken, we can assure you of that. We're very confident, in fact near 100%, that it will still happen.

Hang tight guys, it's a bit bumpy but once we have him (and we will) there's a lot more we have lined up. For one, CNN is waiting for his endorsement to do a coverage on us. It's all resting on Mr. Takei.

I am using v0.9.0.1-beta, and -datadir is working fine for me.

I'm interested in social change so I'll throw my tiny little miner onto this wagon and run a node.
Both Mazacoin and Takeicoin seem excellent. Mazacoin is almost a sure thing when it comes to profitability, this one, not so much. I like the subtlety of calling it TakeiCoin rather than something like LGBT coin. Naming things after people who are very important in movements is one of the conventions I love.

So I'm in. I'm going to get the client right now.



Has the Kimoto Gravity Well been implemented yet?

Another thing I love about this coin is the 7.5 Billion coins which is excellent. Everyone will be able to easily hold big fractions of the coin.
