OK guys. I know it hard to swallow but do you consider the one who hack the exchanges should also be hunt down?
The whole culprit began with the theif who hack the website server to steal. We should hunt them down and apprehend them to warn those theives the repercussion on stealing.

Also, try Coinpeat.com...It is worst than Coinmarket.io  At least the later try his best to refund other coins wasn't stolen.

If someone got some nice English writing skills get in contact with http://www.coindesk.com/news/ or http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/
They will happily make a article about this.

I emailed both of them, just to get started:

Not sure if this is your bailiwick or if you'd like to pass this on. There is an ongoing, somewhat interesting scam going on at coinmarket.io.  The exchange basically stopped giving out BTC withdrawals, keeps the site open as if nothing is going on, and ignores the bitcointalk thread dedicated to it.  The members of the thread have done their best digital Sherlock Holmes so far and have dug up (through cached files, old posts, etc.) the identity of one Norwegian who is in digital hiding.  After long delays, the Norwegian has now fingered another suspect (Estonian) and the mystery continues.  It may make for interesting reading and may be some fun for you if you take an hour to go back through the last few weeks of the thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=454186

There are untold numbers of BTC owed/missing.  A mini Mt.Gox, but I don't know the actual scale of the loss.  It's actually an object lesson in the downside of privacy/secrecy.

Best,

The downs is strong in this one.

This is a scam. the site still taking in deposits and no tweets or info on front page to say not to deposit bitcoins. People that deposited bitcoins after the hack still don't
have them returned.

It looks like the bitcoins have been sent to btc-e.com

Lets hope some drug cartels money got stolen in the process, we might get some justice here.

CM is still listed in the "List of Exchanges" at http://www.altcoincalendar.info/coins/exchanges

OK, thanks for the heads-up!  I sent an email to them:

Dear sirs,

Please take coinmarket.io off of your exchange list. They've been an ongoing recognized scam exchange for a few weeks now.  They've siphoned off untold numbers of BTC and other coins and the fraud is ongoing.  If you need painful proof, please see the following thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=454186.3780

If you have any way of alerting other reference sites or anybody else who may be of help, please let them know about this important issue.

Thank you,

The email worked!!!  CM is no longer listed at http://www.altcoincalendar.info/coins/exchanges

Yeah, they emailed me saying that they'd do it quickly.  They don't want any part of this.

We have to keep spreading this around.  There's no easy way to protect people or punish bad guys, given the lack of regulation.

I personally do not think coinmarket.io was established as a scam.

As the GitHub link below shows, 2 months ago a security breach occurred. Bitcoin was obviously lost.
The biggest problem Kiur has is the same as Mt Gox: He continued to run the exchange in the hope more coin deposits and fees would make him solvent again.

I've always thought that it was possible, even probable that the site was started in good faith and that due to either hacking, major tech problems, or general "in over their head" issues, the exchange guys lost it and decided to run.  Regardless of initial intent, their behavior is now well over the line and into criminal territory and must be dealt with as such.

What a scam exchange  Roll Eyes whoever is responsible should get locked up for this shit

Please review Viperbass post above

Well, here is what you want...

Real name: Kiur Köster
Phone number: +372 5598 1119
Skype name: error.420
IRC name (for what its worth) on Freenet: Inception

I dont have his address, but he Lives in Jarvamë-area in Tallinn city, country Estonia.
He also often uses the nickname/username "thekiur". I dont have any e-mail address of him, most of our communication has been through skype or phone.

His picture is here , most like hes much older now.

Are you Kenneth B?  Thanks for your limited and and vastly dilatory information.  If so, you'd better come clean with ANY posts, emails, info, a timeline of your participation, a history of your interest in coinmarket.io, because you STILL DON'T HAVE A PLAUSIBLE AND EXCULPATORY STORY, MY FRIEND.  Until then, you're still a suspect in this.  If this were ever taken to a court of law, unless you were proven to be under legitimate, direct threat, your holding back of this information would be sufficient to indict you as an accomplice in this crime.  Personally, cynic that I am, I fully still believe you are involved and, at the VERY least, received remuneration for your delaying tactics which continue to allow this scam to go on.  If you're completely innocent, I apologize.  Then you're just a simple coward.  Fair enough.

Don't be a retard, that is just part of the information posted by Viperbass, read his post!

Okay, gotcha, sorry to have written it as a reply to you.  My apologies on that. In fact I'm doubly retarded in thinking that Ken B. has the stones to actually post directly into the thread, as little effort as that takes, given his history.

The post, however stands alone as a statement to Kenneth B. and how I see the state of affairs currently.  He's still on the suspect list and it'd take some doing for me not to believe that he's been paid out of this scam either for immediate participation or for facilitation, at least by withholding information outright or delay.

Coinmarket.io came out to defend Kenneth B. This says something. We should not loose track of him. If Kenneth B is innocent then coinmarket.io won't give a damn if ppl kick his ass.

Coinmarket's now back up...thank goodness. Just got a screenshot of my hung withdrawal, so I can prove I'm owed the BTC. If you haven't for any of yours, I suggest you do so while the Site's still up.

This is starting to get interesting.  I still really want my 10 mil RDD back, but I am willing to wait.  One of two things is going to happen here.  Either we will get to see what kind of justice this community can enforce, or the coins will start pouring out to their rightful owners.
