After waiting for some months for ico's I invest to come on board but to no avail, i wish to re-strategize on alt coin that are on coinmarketcap.
Please can someone tell me good coins a least five different coins below $1?

ADA is the best to me.
recently, some altcoins just rise so much even when downtrend, like OCN

you should buy the top altcoin if you want to invest long, this situation is very easy to get risk in investment. unless you trade daily. and this is how you involve your experience and knowledge.

Switcheo (SWTH) is about to release ETH pairs on their NEO-based DEX!! These guys have been working non-stop and Callisto should be a major success. ETH will bring huge volume and Qtum chain integration will follow eventually! They also said they were working on a new set of incentive for the SWTH holders.

I do not understand why are you looking for coins below 1$. It doesnt matter, market cappitalization is the indicator for the coin with possible big growth.
So find some low cap coins with great potentional and if you are lucky, you can earn thousands percent profit.
