Some people still don't know what are good coins and want to avoid pump and dump coins. They don't need to be confused, they just need to go to our exchange and find only the good coins.

Excellent line  Grin First PR campaign idea for Alcurex? Cheesy

I definitely agree with you. Coins need to be chosen carefully

I also hope that you will fire "developer" that works on alcurex site and that he is not involved with actual exchange, because using tables (at least trying to) for web design in 2014 is just wrong. Not to mention other, more visual stuff.

Please contact me if you need help. This is not a nice representation of our investment

P.S. 15 sec in Firebug and at least it looks decent

if you look at their code you will see, that this site is a wordpress site and the other site is made from an professional with bootstrap and so on.
it is ok, to focus on other stuff then that. it's only a site to inform us and not to kick our eyes off the head to impress by beauty and design.

Could you send me a link to the other site? I somehow missed it in thread, although I saw the video presentation. Also, Wordpress is a CMS, bootstrap is a framework. Big part of latest (6 months back) WP themes are done on bootstrap, even the free ones.

However, it doesn't matter on which cms web is built on, it matters who is building it and how it's done. Looking at alcurex site, it was done by a 10 year old neighbours son while sitting on a toilet on Saturday morning  Grin Don't get me wrong, I wish to help Alcurex, it's no my intention to bash it, I'm also an investor. I just want to point obvious bugs and mistakes in hope that it will be resolved.

yes i know, don't know the knowledge of other people... so tried to explain it simply and a bit wrong, so everyone can understand it Cheesy
the main thing from cms is everyone can do it at wordpress or joomla. It' s not a big deal anyway. other cms requiers more skills only my opinion ^^

Not in my (professional) opinion. Yes, anybody can install WP or joomla in 5mins. Other 5mins to install a theme. But to do it properly, you have to have some knowledge. Other CMSes require you to develop most of the things from scratch, or to pay for additional functionalities (.net for example - it's diff. language, but good example). Why would you waste time and effort developing things that are already developed, tested and used widely.

We are talking about a presentation website, not an exchange or application based sites which has to be done mostly from scratch, if you want to do it properly. However, CSS is the same in any CMS - so there is no excuse for using tables and bugs that are seen on alcurex site.

you are absolutely right, why do something if it already exist.
But it just shows your knowledge of something, if you can code it yourself, by scratch.
Sometimes it is better to do it by scratch just for you... in some cases. But to make a good website it is not cms based or anything, if you can do it prof. it will always look good, no matter which cms or not.
it's just easier for 0 knowledge guys to just take a cms and make it look good with themes. ~50$ theme and you are set.
Representing this i a crucial point, but it will come to the exchange. For example, Mintpal is doing it fine, without much promo. Just a plain and stable exchange...

But for this business i feel like you need it to do it by scratch, to know your sourcecode. or take a solid legit code. It is a lot of money on line, if you understand what i mean.
The Point is i recommend to know the code for something like this. one false script and everyone is screwed ^^
I just looked like 10 sec in the sourcecode of the exchange sample site. It is legit for me.

I couldn't agree more - it's crucial to this business. Mintpal is a great example of excellent and scalable development.

BTW - we have just opened Cryptoshi Organization that will help crypto startups with web services - http://cryptoshi.org

So again, Alcurex team, if you are in a need of any help, please contact us. We will be more than happy to assist you.  Smiley
