Am I obliged to leave my shares on the exchange? Is it considered safe?
Agree. We need more safe place our shares on future. I mean this company may be life a long time and there must be sharelist on more safe place.

There is a way to keep your shares offline.

Dont know how to do this.

Help says:
Quote
Offline Shares
Offline shares are shares that you are not holding in your online wallet on Cryptostocks. You will still be receiving dividends for shares held offline but you are not able to place sell orders for offline shares. In order to sell shares they need to be online, i.e. you need to bring them back online again.

When bringing shares offline you have the option to set an additional password (preferrably differnt from your login password). Once saved, you will be receiving a share ownership code. The code will be displayed on the screen as well as send to your email address. Do not loose the share ownerhsip code or your password. Restoring the shares without the share ownership code and the password is not possible.

The objectives of Offline Shares are:
Increase the security of your account. If your account gets compromised then your offline shares are save from being sold off.
Transfer shares between crowdfunding platforms (future feature)
What to do if I lost my share ownership code or my password? Contact customer support and we will help you to restore the shares, BUT:
We will delay the share restore for 2 weeks. Why? This is to protect you incase your Cryptostocks as well as your email account have been compromised. Hence we give you two weeks to notify us in case your emaill account has been compromised, otherwise we assume that all communication to and from your email address is valid.
You need to logon to Cryptostocks web page from a similar (if not identical) IP address as you usually do. We will match the IP addresses to yur previous logins.
We might request you to provide us with additional identification such as ID/passport copies.
We reserve the right to further delay the online restore if we have indicators that might suggest a compromised account
See the Fees page for the costs of this service

I don't feel with you guys who got left out. You snooze, you lose, that's life. This project has been asking for funding for about one month, and the IPO was prolonged once. This forum has attracted people with a self entitled attitude lately and I am glad I am glad you are not on board with me.

Expecting success from a last minute all-out-effort is something I haven't done since high school. Proceeding to complain about it is cringe worthy.

+1

i'm absolutely with you....   Greetings to all EARLY-Shareholders ;-)

Edit: We need to hire ethical hackers in our website. I might just offer a bounty. Will think about it.

This is a must, we need to ensure the security of the site. The alcurEX team should use 5-10% of the IPO BTC to fund a bounty.

Yes. AlcurEX must learn from the mistakes of others. This is the new Far West. Lot of easy money to steal and no law to protect the victims. That's the perfect target for the criminals.

I am pretty sure that the devs know themselves best what to do with the IPO money.
Security is a must, but lets first see how its made before complaining.

I think I remember the devs say security was priority one because of the hacks other exchanges suffered.

A small status update:

The exchange is finishing nicely and will definitely be done this month.
We will be doing security testing even after it is done so that is why we have reserved the entire rest of March as a deadline.

The coin votings will start soon.
We will call for votes after we have gathered a list of potential altcoins to add.
Feel free to give submissions in this thread. It would help our process and give better chances for your coin.

We have taken a shareholder list that shows the email, user ID and amount of shares owned by each person.
This is a very convenient feature offered by Cryptostocks.
With this list we can always retrieve your shares on another platform even if something were to happen to Cryptostocks.

We will also need to destroy our extra shares.
The total amount of shares there should be is 283,920, but we will leave ourselves an amount that is convenient for dividends.
This will be either 0, which would mean we will bring half of our profit to the site and it would all be shared by public shareholders or we will keep 70,980, in which case we would bring 100% of profit to the site and share it there between us and public shareholders.
We will probably go with 0 shares, because there are other expenses that are paid from our profits.
If we were to take from the full 100%, these costs would diminish the profits of public shareholders also.

We will probably have to contact the site support again, since there seems to be no automated way of destroying shares.
We discussed this before opening the IPO and they told it was possible.

Consider:

DigiByte
Mint Coin
ECC Coin
Noble Coin
Litebar
GPU coin

Noble already has an excellent market selling gift cards which can only be purchased with noble coins, thus putting them in demand. GPU is setting up a market place in which you can buy discount GPU cards cheaper than you'd be able to get elsewhere, but can only purchase with GPU coins.

Mint Coin and Digibyte have an awesome community and Digibyte has a very aggressive plan in 2014 and the devs are one of the most active I've seen.

ECC is very active now and will be in demand soon.

Litebar is rare and the dev is active as well.
