Ken does not moderate this thread.
This thread was created and is moderated by a small group of shareholders (of which I am not one) who wanted to limit nastiness and trolling.

Complaining about the same things over and over again is pointless. We all want a financial statement. We all want to trade. We all want to become wealthier than our wildest dreams.

[snip]

Complaining about the same things over and over is justified. Investors gave Ken money, and they deserve to know what is going on with the company. Sometimes Ken actually answers.

Also, not so that Ken doesn't moderate the thread. He probably chooses not to, but he is certainly able:

If anyone is wondering why their posts have been deleted and you are not a troll it's because you either quoted a troll, engaged with a troll or your post has no context due to the removed posts.  Please keep this thread clean guys and simply ignore the trolls as their posts will be removed the moment they are spotted.  Ken has access to the ActM Thread account and may delete posts if he wants although it's unlikely because he has more important things to do with his time.

As has been made clear several times this thread is actively modded throughout the day by a group of (around 5 or 6) shareholders. Ken agreed to lock the old Official Thread and make official announcements and updates in here and so, as has also been made clear, he too has access to mod here if he so wishes.

NEW ENTRY at NO. 9 on Eligius!

This weeks new entry in at No 9 is from VMC.

TOP OF THE POPS!

So , VMC's DC keeps going up and paid customers don't see their miners .
And now we have Gold Rush coming up .

I'm confused , what is really happening ??

Announcing our Gold Rush mining card:

Great news.

How will this affect sales of the Prospector?

Can VMC handle the logistics if this becomes a popular item seeing as there have been many issues with the small amount of Prospector boards sold so far?

Will any of these boards be added to the mining farm?

The problem with the logistics is that our people have been working on our mining farm.  After the mining farm is built, then there should not be a problem.

So , Basically , Again people who paid for the prospector will suffer , even after being stating it for ''Immediate Delivery'' , the reason you are giving here is , that your people are busy setting up your mining farm ?
Instead of sorting out previous orders first , You and your team again want to get busy with the new product ''Gold Rush'' ?

What is the actual plan Ken ?

I ordered more than 20 days back , i get only 1 board ?
Ken , would you please ship my remaining 4 boards ? And it would be so much better , if you ship me these ''Gold Rush'' 4 boards instead , ASAP .

Thanks !!

I'm not seeing the gold rush boards in the store yet. Are they up and I'm just stupid and can't find them (not that those two are mutually exclusive) or are they not up yet? Also, at $2/gh/s, isn't that one of the most if not THE most competitive pricing of in stock miners? I haven't been paying too close attention these past few weeks but I'm pretty sure going rate is still around $3/gh/s.

That said, I'm going to make another request to at least have the share verification site up so that we can disperse the accumulated dividends which are now in non-negligible territory. I'd also love to hear even a rough timeline on the financial reports and any progress on ActM's custom 28nm chip if one is still planned.

I do not see the new miners on the site either, and I do still see those old, ugly cases...

I do believe that @ ~$2/gh and .8w/gh these miners will be the best on the market. I believe Antminers achieve sub $3/gh but not by much and they still draw at least 1w/gh (iirc...).

Yeah, I concur on the old cases, they look very dated and dull, and especially since they're not in stock and likely wont be for the forseeable future, it would be good to remove them from the site.

Too bad ken is busy setting up the DC instead of shipping boards to customers.

We're just about to take 8th place in the Eligius Top Ten.  According to Ken we'll be in 2nd place within the week so, 'every cloud...', as they say.  Wink

ActM namecoin address still not set in eligius. It'll take two minutes to download and run namecoin-qt wallet and encrypt the wallet and additional minute to set an address in eligius (assuming you could sign a message with the mining address). Ken, please consider setting the address.

Ken must be thankful for hashfasts incompetence.

If HF could ship out more than 5 devices per day I'm sure they would leave no customers for vmc.

Ken should never have sold any units to customers until everything was properly in place. Pre-orders have been a disaster both PR wise and complaints that put the company under the microscope.

Even now, things are not in place properly - stop selling products. Just get the mining ramped up, then get the whole order, dispatch, customer services up and running properly before selling any more products to consumers.

Easy for you to say.  Hard to do with the bitcoin difficulty going up 15% every 10-14 days.

Weekly Update 4/23/2014.

Datacenter:

We are up to 64.34 Th/s and expect by the end of the month to be around ~170 TH/s.  Everything is in place to expand our hash rate to this level.

VMC:

We have announced our Gold Rush boards and have had a very positive response.  We are now training and switching our help to do more shipping than build of the mine.
We have 100 Gold Rush boards in stock for immediate shipping.  We have worked out the logistics for this.

MSD:

Nothing new at this time.
