Even Bitcoin is entering uncertain market. Not a good season for raising funds ?

I can tell you if a good project with sound ans strong team enters market now is better for them to raise fund in the bear market than bull market, what are you going to say about those that raise fund when Ethereum was $1000 they must have lost almost 83% of the value of their portfolio provided they keep most in Ethers.

Since i believe this is not the end of crypto they are going to make the most out of the funds they will be collecting, if they hold on to it long enough.

Always great to see the team interacting and updating the thread with news 

Teams that manage to raise a couple of million dollars in this bear market have a bright future once the sentiment turns around again.

Would be great if the would hold on releasingf the token until the bear market is over. Otherwise they most likely fall beneath ico price in a couple of weeks/months. It does look like we're finally getting into the capitulation phase though

Hey, what is going on? After reaching the $1 million pledge the DUSK token sale on EthFinex has entered the first of two 48 hour contribution periods on Saturday. We are nearing the end of the first period but the raised amount has not even passed $100,000 yet.

Did people submit fake pledges or is something not going alright with EthFinex contribution process?

Probably people think there would be more hype for ethfinex but seeing pledge barely passed 1m $ they may change their mind.

Also, there are lots of variables in this. Eth price crash can be one of the reasons.

On their Telegram they said:

Looks like the cause was EthFinex having some technical problems.

Even so this does not really matter for DUSK, does it? Since EthFinex already bought the tokens from DUSK.

I didn't know that ethfinex already bought the tokens.

So why they are doing this. The price is the same, so why are they bothering for buying and selling tokens without profit?

Or because they are a partner this tokens for partnering/listing fee?

To my knowledge they invested and are hosting part of the sale as in lottery as part of the partnership. I was reasoning that in this way they can go around any ico regulations as this is a private sale.

I really wanna share your optimism but I have my doubts that the market will make a turn-around very soon. The current situation reminds me a bit of the situation early 2015.

Same here, i would give a desperation more time then that, people are way too optimistic for that to happen. It needs more blood and suffering . At the meanwhile, we can make profits.

Unless something major happen this is how is going to be for a few years. It doesn't look well. Just solid projects will be able.to survive this.

Unless something major happen this is how is going to be for a few years. It doesn't look well. Just solid projects will be able.to survive this.

on the positive side, we can buy crypto cheap nowadays. I just hope the dusk ICO won't be affected too much.

If I'm not mistakin, DUSK is only conducting a private sale but yes, with the current market slump, I think it will have an effect as every investors are now becoming more cautious  and in a "wait and see" attitude towards investing in crypto.

It will also have an effect to previous investors and funding, looking at how many of the ICO not reaching there soft-cap and the sudden swing of bitcoin price many project will fail, but dusk is not like any other ICO so it might be another story with them.

Still, Private investors are very different than a normal ICO investor. They understand the market manipulation very well due to which it DUSK's sale should not get much affected by this downtrend.

Bitcoin has almost bottomed out at $5k, so it will rally soon.
It  might takes hours, days or weeks, no one knows, but it will rally.

I sincerely hope so.. i do believe that most ICO's will fade to 0 in this winter ... Only a few will remain ..

Not really, all my money is bound in coins which are very low, so I only can hodl.

Not initially but we are definitely planning to implement them later on!

Very likely we will. Currently our development team is working hard on delivering the Devnet by the end of 2018. Meanwhile the other key figures in Dusk Network are all over the world trying to bring Dusk to the masses. We have received overwhelming response everywhere we have presented. As for marketing, everything is being set up right now. Besides that our sale is coming to a close so expect an increase in marketing soon!

The situation is extremely tense, I think in the coming days if the market does not recover, then for the whole crypto community there will be bad news, there is a possibility of a collapse, because the miners will not work at a loss. Africa is the cheapest region for mining Bitcoin, the cost of mining there is an average of 4.6 thousand dollars

They have to be realistic in this crypto economy that we have now. Its hard even to reach softcap yet alone hardcap. Typically, i rather join ICOs with lower hardcap which ussually means your tokens will be worth more but on the other had, there will be less money for development and promotion.

yes, it is difficult to find a balance. In this market big hardcaps are never reached so smaller ones are better but you need to spend the little money you get wisely.

Last year some ICOs had $200 M contributions (hell, EOS got 4 BILLION dollars...), so I think that Dusk's goal isn't impossible to reach, we're talking about "only" $14M if I recall correctly
