You have partnership with Switcheo exchange? So this will be NEP5 tokens before maiinet? Not erc20? Or what goal in this collaboration?
I have not seen the teamm announced about the partnership with Switcheo exchange, officially?
Why did you ask this?
Where did you get the info about the partnership?

Maybe he's talking about this news:

https://medium.com/dusk-network/ivan-poon-joins-dusk-network-as-strategic-advisor-a2f1bb1f2c11

But that just says Ivan Poon CEO and Co-Founder of Switcheohas joined Dusk Network as a Strategic Advisor.

it's not exactly a partnership is it? but it is good to have the guy as an advisor.

SEC is trying to touch everything because for SEC every ico is a security.

But they are in Europe and don't accept US citizens so SEC won't be a problem.

The only problem with sec is that once it takes a position, it may happen all other similar organizations within other countries will follow that line as well.

I don't think it's wise to put their rulings aside; we have European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) and they can take similar steps too at the future.

Whenever two parties agree to work together that count somewhat equals to a partnership as long as they don't behave like client and customer.

Yes, as long as there is an agreement from two parties or more to work together for their respective benefits, we can say that there is a partnership.

I am sure European projects are aware of that and they have a perfect opportunity to learn from what SEC is doing to American projects. Right now they are less strict but who knows when they will start implementing similar strategies.

I am really hoping that Government regulations will lean towards being crypto friendly which could foster growth and development on the entire cryptoverse. When this happens, then we can fully harnesse the benefits of blockchain technology in order to empower humanity. Imho.

I fear that the EU will regulate more than the US as this is the case with most fields of regulation.

I am a big fan of Switcheo with all of its look and feel making me trade so easily, so I guess we can say Ivan Poon will be a great asset for Dusk in the future development.

Big signings can bring boost to projects easily. So Ivan Poon can bring so much to Dusk Network project with his experience.

so it is not really a real partnership between the two companies(switcheo, dusk) but Ivan is giving a hand to the project to make a new dex...

A partenership doesn't make sense now, Switcheo is a NEP5 dex (they announced ERC20 as well or it was another NEO based dex?), it makes sense if Dusk will grow it's ecosystem
It's very early to talk about partnerships, they need to complete ICO and raise a substantial amount of money for further prosperity.

They were exploring the possibility of Switcheo running on dusk platform. Does that make more sense? But i would not draw any conclusions from that. Even though it's a delicious thought.

I thought the same, they are slow and sluggish, but when they wake up from their technological hibernation,
they can be very mean-looking and bureaucratic.

The thing is, Europe already missed the Silicon valley boom where tec giants like Google or Apple emerged. They better should try to be more crypto friendly otherwise they are going to be left behind again.

Taking into account the people and projects working in the crypto, the more bureaucratic the investees are, and the less friendly they are, the less chance of reaching a common ground, which is why I still see years of "irregularities" .

STO competition is heating up. Seen some good project leading currently. I am hoping DUSK will release platfrom on time otherwise allow someone else to gain market share.

DUSK is a platform for STOs like Ethereum is for ICOs, so if anything those projects should wait for DUSK.

Unless you think going ahead with Ethereum for STOs is a good idea.

DUSK is a security token and it can be used to launch other tokens as ethereum does? Please correct me if I am wrong.

Dusk Network's native token DUSK is a utility token.

Ok that's good new, the SEC can't touch this ICO then.
Only security tokens can be influenced by the SEC afaik.

SEC is trying to touch everything because for SEC every ico is a security.

But they are in Europe and don't accept US citizens so SEC won't be a problem.

Do they really block IP's from US? Do they demand KYC to confirm their investors are not US investors?

And what about secondary trading? Do they want to be listed on US exchanges?

Yes, they are their advisor and partner. And as devs said Switcheo will help DUSK develop own decentralized exchange for own internal tokens on Dusk blockhain.

Ah ok, so devs are the source. Good to hear!
