I think that's not the news. At least janko33 and Penait1 (both 3rd party devs) had a discussion about telling Twitter account manager about this update. So I guess we are still to hear what they originally had in mind. Yeah right,... how do you know? I had a discussion about the webpage too, that I am going to do it after I am back from holiday, which was last week when they posted... more news will be comming, development of the blackcoinj library continues to emebeded devices now(I have to get to iphone, that my brother left.. ;P) I made assumption as you were discussing about this way after the announcement.

I don't like when they make these announcements, just from talking on IRC, like it would be certain... who's a 2nd and 1st party dev? I am certainly 33rd party dev..;P The best thing is ej-technologies gave me a license gratis(wich cost normally $2,398.80) so I could create a very convenient installer for MutiBlack HD. Ej-technologies is now the biggest sponsor of MultiBlack HD development.

What is the advantage from the Multiblack HD over the BLK Wallet? You don't have to download the whole blockchain.

What is the advantage from the Multiblack HD over the BLK Wallet? You don't have to download the whole blockchain. only this? )) 1. HD wallet, you can recover your coin even if MultiBlack is not working or even running using this tool https://github.com/janko33bd/bip39/tree/blackcoin2. prunned chain so only 500 blocks are kept, so the chain will always be small 3. portabilty, it runs on Mac, windows, linux 4. BIP 70 5. rolling automatic backup of your wallet to the cloud server you choose look here https://multiblack.github.io/..... so many more things are there and you see only one ;PP

I would say HD is the best feature, save your 12 words and the time-stamp and your blackcoins are safe, portability the second

Got my hands on some BLK for the first time Noob question - how does PoS work with blackcoin? Is it worth staking if you only have a small amount? (few hundred) Thanks in advance!

Guys, if you have any questions, you can go to the official Blackcoin website http://Blackcoin.co and ask it on the chat (bottom right corner). The chat is connected with Blackcoin Slack so you will definitely get faster reply than here. You can also connect straight to Blackcoin Slack on https://blackcoin-team.slack.com... and forget about bitcointalk BTW it is always worth staking

Got my hands on some BLK for the first time Noob question - how does PoS work with blackcoin? Is it worth staking if you only have a small amount? (few hundred) Thanks in advance! On average every 64 seconds a new block is created which yields 1.5 BLK (the block creator also gets fees of any transactions included in that block). The probability of creating a block is roughly equal to your stake weight (the number of confirmed blackcoins you owe which are currently not staking) divided by the presumed total number of online, non-staking blackcoins (which is shown in the graphical wallet). You can calculate your expected number of created blocks/blackcoins and compare it to the cost of keeping BlackCoin wallet online.

This coin is far from dead m8 The fact that it seems dead is only benificial to all of us, since this means the price will drop and we can accumulate more BLK price always rises again, but it will not always drop again

Lots of people hold blackcoin and if you keep the wallet online you get a staking interest every now again because you are part of the global network, which is nice. So theres lots of people involved with blackcoin, it cant exist without them basically. I wont argue its anything close to bitcoin levels of size but thats a different discussion to have

So here is a question about PoS in general, as a former bitconer i would never, ever leave my wallet with btc loaded, running on my full node, due to hacking someone might be able to get past the AES encryption on the wallet. That said the whole point of PoS mining/staking is to deliberately put those valuable coins on the internet and not in a secure location.. Seems kinda dangerous don't you think?
