You need the wallet and to make sure thats upto date.  Store your BLK in that wallet and it will stake after some time of being live and available on the network.   Post a screenshot of the wallet and we'll have a better idea of if you are in the right place, see the OP

I'd be interested to mine on that pool, give it a chance and see where it goes.  If only to test a new card and get back into the scene a little and setups required and end up paid in a coin I want, that could be ideal.
Changing scale from linear to log makes trend lines go a bit funny Cheesy  https://i.imgur.com/PIfgkFvr.png
Does seem a very optimistic atmosphere at present, Ive read articles on various blockchains and their potential in national newspapers and news of Japan, etc.   I see some big changes in various prices hopefully it can be of substance

hi i had some of this coin and was waiting for it to stake i had 5 coins. can someone please tell m whats a decent min amount of coin to have to stake a decent return? i know thats vague but i mean but i dont want to buy 1000 coins then get like .05 every 3 days. lol ive seen coins like that. im just curious about the numbers on this coin staking.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated,

At current network weight, with 10000 BLK you can expect to stake around once a day (1.5BLK)

Yep once a day sounds correct in my experience for 10k.    I guess 5  coins would eventually stake I dont know exactly but say 5 goes into 10k  maybe 2000 times so very roughly that'd be like over 5 years to stake once Cheesy      Thats fair because 1.5 / 5 is  30% return so its pretty rare you will get that 'lucky' I guess.

Theres 76,138,021 BLK  Circulating Supply

Again roughly speaking but (1.5 x 365) / 10,000 coins is actually generous return of over 5% a year for staking.    Almost all countries fail to pay a return on deposits close to that for FIAT.  Obviously this is new technology new ideas but it would appear well rewarded to venture an interest.   The coin should be used far more, I find it fast and the fees are tiny compared to bitcoin which was over a dollar on my last check/attempt.    Ive just reinstalled again so I'm really not involved but I find bitcoin far too favoured still though I read altcoins are becoming more popular its not filtered through enough yet.

My view on price action, if BC can surmount .000105 and confirm I will be more confident on it continuing upwards, then normally it'd jump up a bit like bitcoin did overnight.  .00009 support and Im undecided on when it can beat a small downtrend it gathered.  Its very probably positive medium term having beat a much longer downtrend but I think its challenged by sellers this instant.

I just think a PoS coin can be expected to behave differently to PoW coins. Price wise. With PoW there is an incentive for miners to pump a coin to make their mining operation more lucrative. They're dumping freshly mined coins without any concern for how the coin's future. If the coin is no longer lucrative they aim their hashing power at some new chewtoy.

Blackcoin is immune to such plays. Those who hold BLK are motivated to keep the coin healthy. They're in on it. The lack of hype is short term weakness but a long term strength.

It's better to make the logo look nice.

It would be nice if someone propose nicer logo  Grin

I think the song looks good, simple. Seen from the obvious black color of the word "Black" and the yellow color signifies the logo bitcoin which is identical with the yellow color. Huh

I am trying to use my blackcoins after long time. I hodl them about since 2014-2015, if I remember. The issue is that if I synchronize wallet with new wallet file and then replace with old wallet, then Blackcoin-qt is rescanning whole night and still not finished. Could you help me what to do, please?

Hi Guys,

this is probably quite a newbie question, so bare with me Wink

I simply want to use the blacknetd (daemon) on a unix box (1.1.1.1)to run and connect with the qt wallet from a client system(1.1.1.2) to it. I experimented with commandline args supplied to the client but with no luck so far. Is this sort of setup intended? If so, what to add to those params:

Code:
blacknet-qt.exe -rpcuser=mm -rpcpassword=dontdocode -rpcport=666 -???

?

I also wrote some simple python code to interfere with the wallet without extra libraries, however i would rather like to stick to already tested code when it comes to transfer of coins, create wallets and encrypt...

Any good hints?

Cheers
MM

Blackcoin's growth is actually quite modest compared to many other alts. I wouldn't read too much into this without context.

Yes, Blackhalo has fully functioning smart contracts. It's currently in the process of fleshing out an in-wallet market place as well.
