Yeh except for the price you can get 2 for the cost of a 280X or similar with 2nd. And use less then 80w
And pay for 2x as many motherboards, CPUs, DIMMs, cases, risers etc to get the same total hash power.

This may be a bit late for this, but why not rename it something like computercoin? And sell parts that is required for a mining rig?

My recommendation wasn't aimed at those of us that use 3 or 4 gpus per system I just bought 2 750ti superclocked. I'm excited because the Maxwell architecture has not been touched yet in cudaminer. While the old titan architecture is implemented to run maxwell currently; Hopefully there will be further updates that will undoubtedly increase hash power as the new architecture is brought into cudaminer. Plus at the moment they will replace my gtx580 for a third of the watts and double the hash rate. In Keccak they will get 5 times the hash rate of my gtx580 overall they are a complete win for me. Remember the most important part of maxwell implementation is the integration of an arm cpu onto the card along with the stream procs, and that in cuda 5.5 the int swap was finally fully implemented.

There may be something to this... I havnt looked at the 750ti's till now, they are unpowered cards, so running multiple will pull too much from the MB unless you use powered risers I suppose. That said, the CEO of this coin mentioned a partnership to get a 8 way riser cable that would plug into 1 16x slot. if they could be powered you could in theory run 8 750TI's (2.4MH/s or higher once it gets optimized) on scrypt and only pull 600W or so from the entire rig. The cost would be under $2000 per setup as well.... That's as cheap as current ASIC's with the flexibility of GPU. could be interesting. /comments?

My comment is if he can get that riser and can start selling the 750's I will be using all my gpucoins to buy them a build a proper mining rig for myself
Again though while the 750Ti has a tdp of 60w it's been tested and while mining they pull around 34w without over clocking. And that's with a 80% efficiency psu

Apart from me admitting I WTB share from the original IPO on original price, I want to turn attention of the whole community and Jaymes (the CEO) mainly:
Jaymes,
1.Now you will have even less funds to buy video cards to sell. 2. Demand for video cards will be INSANLY higher than the initial quantity you can provide and I BET that you will end up with tons of orders, which will be put on a waitlist for a second round of buying. 3. You made already mistakes by launching the coin in a wrong way, its reputation is already not that good, my strong advice to you is to open a second IPO stage. 4. Listen to me, do not make stupid mistake, because, if you are left in a situation I already described above, and that coin gets one more severe major step crash, I doubt you will be able to recover its reputation in future! REMEMBER MY WORDS!

I am actually liking this coin again. Micryon ALONE is restoring some serious confidence here. The business model is not bad, and could work. But I wonder how many squillions a card will cost in the first couple of buying rounds Rit.

Bad advice. Bad for you of course. You want to sell your action on 200% price. And who buy in it will be even in 10 times worse postion than before the IPO refunds, because now the price per Milion can drop to 0,11 BTC. And yes, I will say this lound here, now you can not delete my post as in your self moderated thread.

Would all the doomsayers please just keep your negative comments to yourself and leave the thread? We're mostly adults here and are quite capable of making decisions on our own without your negative input. If you're not interested in mining this coin, then why do you keep posting here?
