"In a nutshell, the network works like a distributed
timestamp server, stamping the first transaction to spend a coin. It
takes advantage of the nature of information being easy to spread but

has anyone setup a blockchain explorer for the coin yet?
Block Explorer right here.. http://explorer2.sancrypto.info/chain/GPUCoinWell the launch is going as planned.. we had wanted a mining start of +1 day from when the wallet was launched, and it looks like we are about to achieve that. The only risk now that something "bad" would happen at block 2600 would be from the separate build procedures, that were done by hand, between: - seed node (what's on the dnsseeds) - windows client (what most people are using) - pushed to git (what pools are using) All completely as separate operations.. instead of 1 atomic build procedure. It's very remotely possible that there was some files not being used correctly i all 3... since i used ftp , gitpush and separate ways of getting the code around for all those various builds. But the last thing i changed was the genesis block.. so if i did make a mistake, nothing would have worked.. so it's unlikely that something in GetBlockValue high would be different between those 3.. that function was not the last one changed. Unfortunately i haven't figured out gitian based cross builds yet.. at some point the next coin will have to use that for proper release procedures from linux.. Anyways.. soo.. i don't think there will be a problem Awesome work BTW micryon. We all appreciate the work you have put into this coin, even if it is not said very much! That was one of the few remaining hurdles to being listed at major exchanges, and being invested in by outside money as well. waltsmith

I am not "leaving" any planet but what planet are you living on? really!! the amount of people mining this because of one store against all the stores in the world and all of you seem to think that this one store will be able to supply you all and take your coins as payment. because newegg and all these other stores MAJOR online retailers all over the world have no pull? because this one store is about to be the only supplier of amd cards and you will not be able to find an amd card in any other store anywhere! 90% of miners are probably mining this right now in the hope that they will get a gpu for free. where in the line do you think you are?

Hey, it's working. I tried these settings. setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 COLOR 0A vertminer.exe --scrypt-vert -o stratum+tcp://gpu.oakpool.com:3355 -u j23a.1 -p x -I 12 --thread-concurrency 6000 -d 0 --
gpu-platform 1 -w 256 -I 13 --gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-memclock 900 --thread-
concurrency 8193 -g 2 --auto-fan --lookup-gap 2 I just changed the memclock from 1500 to 900 I'm getting 132 kh/s, and I imagine that's low for two 290x, but I don't care. I'm just glad it's working. Thank you for everyone who helped. I honestly truly appreciate it. Someone may have already asked but how much dram memory do you have installed? Also try removing the -d 0 tag from your config file If you have onboard graphics go into the device manager and disable it uless your using it to run your monitor. I have 6 GB. Edit: I thought you said Damn Memory. But I have 6gb of ram, and plus what the 290x has, which is 6gb in all I think for two. Ive struggeled ALL day with different miners and other poblems regarding NFactor and scrypt-jane. Everything resulted in a driver crash, black screen, BSOD etc.. you name it I then tried different types of drivers and versions which also didnt help at all. I have 5 R9 290 running in two machines, one with 24gb ram and one with 6. Both ended up with the same problem whatsoever. I came to a conclution that ive been pushing it too hard... you might try this { "pools" : [ { "url" : " http://x-pool.org:3334", "user" : "j.2", "pass" : "x" } ] , "intensity" : "17", "worksize" : "256", "kernel" : "zuikkis", "lookup-gap" : "2", "thread-concurrency" : "20841", "gpu-threads" : "1", "gpu-engine" : "1000", "gpu-memclock" : "1300", "gpu-memdiff" : "0", "gpu-powertune" : "10", "temp-cutoff" : "95", "temp-overheat" : "93", "temp-target" : "87", "auto-fan" : true, "nfactor" : "11", "kernel-path" : "/usr/local/bin" } Using http://sgminerwindows.com/sgminer-nfactor-zuikkis.php

He has shown very good business sense up until now.
Anyone see any faults with my logic please correct me.
I almost laughed when I read the first statement. The CEO should get no higher than a C if given a grade for their business performance: This whole thing has been rushed. Details throughout the whole process have been vague or up in the air. (we still don't know much about the GPUCoin store's business model such as what percentage of the profits should be used to purchase new GPUs and what should be spent on development and paying the CEO) Multiple failed launches. These are partially the fault of the CEO, he overlooked many details and then pushed for an immediate relaunch even though it was a bad decision. No public relations - consistently leaves investors hanging. Not just once but multiple times. Not researched in crypto (made decisions at whim based on comments in the thread because he was unaware of the situation).

I almost requested a refund but still think the idea is good. Could have been done many times better and will likely not be as successful as possible but I still see it doing well.
