Ooooh aaaaah! Crypto Broker is a ZH reader! I wondered if this cartoon would turn up anywhere. It's priceless.
Woo hoo! Half holiday!
[Last night, hungry kangaroos formed a flying-wedge formation, and stormed under the netting over the peas, driving the frame a full metre back in the process, to get at some (yummy yummy) straw lying there. City life seems a million miles away.]
Mark
Personally, I'd take the Kangaroo troubles over city life any day.... I've heard kangaroo steak is quite tasty... And never so in-my-mind tasty, C.B., as when I'm contemplating ring-barked fruit trees and munched-to-the-ground peas and and and . . . Nah. I love them. No money in the world would buy the peace I have here! 20,000 members on Cryptomoms! Splendid! Mark

It is thought provoking. However, that is probably an accurate representation of industry-wide frustration and fear of, “ destroying a burgeoning industry from the inside.” That fear is not groundless. I don’t think that it is likely, but yes Bitcoin could still fail. “Time for action” is a great idea but who is going to lead, and can enough people recognize the right direction if they are being led to one? There is too much noise and confusion. Yet the payoff is way down the road even if you are on the right path. The willingness to commit to the long term and working together collaboratively for mutual benefits is a rare breed, though that is what it will take. DNotes is committed to do all the right things. But even for us, it's hard not to feel lonely sometime while traveling down a uniquely different path. “ Time for actionThe revolution has begun.
It's not a revolution that many have noticed and, even with all of our bluster, it can still fail. But let's not let it.
There is no upside to abandoning one of the most unique and potentially life-saving financial technologies in the world, but there is also no upside to ignoring the problem of slow-moving major players, a petty user base that sees conspiracy in every Reddit post and bankers who chortle at blockchain in public and invest millions into it in private. You say you want a revolution. Make one.”Read more: http://www.coindesk.com/land-1000-bitcoin-wallets/

The most important thing about cryptocurrency with online payments is that you don't have to enter information that someone could steal and use it to charge your account. On top of that, you don't have to enter much more than your shipping address to have something shipped to you. Checkout could be much more efficient.

This is a great article on the unintended consequences of negative interest rates. The article states that when the Bank of Japan introduced negative interest rates it created a rally in the yen and reduced consumer demand, which was the exact opposite of what they were going for. Negative interest rates are causing large wealthy corporations to NOT spend money and buy back their own stock instead, which is distorting the 'real' value of the stock in relation to the economic times. With no new product development and/or expansion, there are no new jobs. So much for stimulating economic growth... The NIRP Thing?
The BoJ’s recent policy failure is the latest in a series (Fed, BoJ, PBOC, ECB) that is leaving the emperor looking nakeder and nakeder.
Little Markie just getting back to struggling with the buy-sell split on Cryptopia:
Poloniex is presently 1497-1494 – niiiice! But Cryptopia is still 1550-1253

Thank you for your great support, Mark. There were a few large blocks on the sell side at Poloneix. They seem to be all cleared now.

67 DNotes DNotes $ 935,127 $ 0.008486 110,191,427 NOTE $ 6,424 35.53 %
It's helpful not to run about in the rain every time the price lifts, but this rise has doubled the amount of crypto I have liquid for the Cryptopia effort. (Tee hee -- I have a strict 'exchange-risk protocol,' so I don't trade NOTE on Poloniex 'cause I trade other cryptos there, and those keep me 'at my limit' there.)

Yesterday was an interesting day for DNotes. I hope most of the buying was for long term investment. DNotes has significant long term potential based on what we are working on. Near term - it's anyone's guess. The market is still highly volatile.

PoloniEx updated their API, so I have updated the Accumulator bot accordingly, you may download here. Been working on the membership site for most of free time, hopefully I will have time to work on these bots a bit more shortly.
