As bitcoin is the first crypto currency in the crypto market bitcoins stands in the first position and no other crypto currencies can replace the first crypto currency as all other alternative crypto currencies are following the first crypto currency and people trust bitcoins as it is the first crypto currency and it has been in the crypto market since 2009. The crypto currency users trust bitcoins and only because of belief in bitcoins they put hands on alternative crypto currencies even though alternative crypto currencies are an updated version of the original bitcoins.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

No cryptocurrency can't stand without bitcoin because bitcoin is most usable coin than other currencies also peoples are buying other altcoins from bitcoin, this is the payment method for buying other cryptocurrencies on exchanges also blockchain technology is backbone of bitcoin so other coins can't survive without bitcoin.
First buy bitcoin than other alt coins, Why I would like to buy bitcoin first, if I can buy any altcoin directly using dollar and some exchange support dollar pair. |

It's all about the blockchain. Bitcoin is just a member of that, which is what makes it valuable. But will it stay there forever? Well, that's kind of like assuming the IBM will be the only manufacturer of computer chips for the rest of eternity. I don't think that they can last forever, but they've certainly got the market cornered. They'll always have dominance over it, just like Bitcoin does over crypto, but eventually, somewhere, someone will find a better solution. Something more scaleable, faster, and practical.

Well, I believe that nothing is imposible in this world everything can possible to happen. However, I dont think so if bitcoin will disappear because as per our speculation it will be possibly be the alternate currency to fiat currency in the near future. |

Noboby has seen future in this trading market but as per the current crypto market structure, disappearance of BTC is hard to digest. If this happens by any means, crypto market shall go down as BTC is currently the king of cryptocurrencies and its fall will result in market panic and loss of trust of the investor will be seen. With time, other cryptocurrency can surely become extensive as this crypto revolution is not going to end whether bitcoin stays or not.

According to my opinion,bitcoin is first currency.Blockchain is technology behind Bitcoin.It´s difficult to imagine that cryptocurrency world exist without Bitcoin but it is possibile in the crypto world.
All i know cryptocurrency begins with btc and it raises a large numbers of users.So,crypto cannot stand without btc.Its the mother of all coins. |

From the look of things, bitcoin seem to be the lead anchor to happenings in cryptoworld. If it goes up, the rest of the other cryptocurrencies responds. And the same thing happens when it goes down. However, I think that cryptocurrency will stand without Bitcoin. |

Of course it can be, but soon it will not, because the dominance Bitcoin increases, now 47%. Bitcoin dominance increases because traders including me not willing to trade right now due to bitcoin pump and dump, one day pump next day dump. Only few peoples are playing the games and all others are loosing their money. I supposed everyone here is either Bitcoin follower, investors, traders, etc.etc.. I can't not imagine the crypto market without Bitcoin in the future, the market will be slow, dumb, no more excitement, and would be sluggish market with out Bitcoin..... |

Bitcoin now is so popular that everyone knows more than any coins out there, but if bitcoin is gone, i think the other coins or altcoins can stand out without bitcoin because they has also a value or even their value maybe raise up.

Possibly, but not now. Eventually, when something really disrupt this whole blockchain era. Something that will be actually used globally without too much restrictions, boundless reach. But that maybe is still not now, but who knows. Some alts now are proving their worth and compared to bitcoin, has really sunstantial potential. Only time will tell.
Honestly crypto currency is not just about bitcoin so it can really stand without it. Well that's only possible soon once crypto currency cemented its strength. As of now bitcoin is a well-known system and it's the asset of crypto currency. Time will come that bitcoin willis be forgotten but for now it's the strength of crypto currency. |

As see things is that I do not think so, because of Bitcoin the cryptocurrency become trend and known on this industry, then altcoin is next and other cryptocurrency. In this world I do not think that bitcoin will disappeared in just a snap. And as of now, many crypto users known Bitcoin as a Mother of digital currency and it will never be vanish away. |

For me, it would be hard for Cryptocurrency to survive without Bitcoin because as we all know, Bitcoin is the best and the biggest coin in the Cryptocurrency market and most investors really choose Bitcoin and we cannot deny that fact.
