I'm not a professional trader, so I don't flip from one asset to another very often. But as an investor I use diversification all the time. I can't imagine my work without hedging and diversification. It's impossible to to survive on the market for a long time without it.
If we plan to invest, we must deal with the ups and downs of the market. In order to protect ourselves from a market downturn, diversification has to be taken into consideration. Diversification helps protect our capital and in achieving positive results while the other market is generating negative returns.

I do not want to lose all my money, so yes I am trying to diversify my portfolio. Without using the diversification method you are entering the risks of a false investment decision and as a result the decrease of your deposit.
As can be useful diversification was clearly seen at the end of last year and at the beginning of this, it was possible to take advantage of the moment, and those who did not, probably greatly regret the missed moment

Previously, I did not know what it is. In the end, this led me to big losses. Now I understand that diversification is necessary for successful investments.

It is always necessary to respect the diversification of their funds. But if some sort of altcoin grows strongly in my portfolio, I do not sell it completely. I only sell part of the coins. Bitcoin I can invest in other Altcoins, which are cheap.

For example, you have some altcoin (in my case it's Metaverse ETP) and you expect it to grow. But in a weak market, this altcoin behaves like bull and you have the opportunity now to sell it and buy an asset that looks weak in the market (for example Qash, Tierion, Nem, Odyssey or Republic Protocol) in order to get the greatest possible profit. Or leave a strong asset and wait for its further growth. What do you think about this?
Crypto diversification is silly. I learned it the hard way. When Bitcoin goes down, every coin goes down worst but when Bitcoin goes up or even sideways, altcoins have a great price action. So what happens to your portfolio with many altcoins, you lose or gain a lot. Real portfolio diversity means investing in fiat, gold, or some direct investment. Something that runs counter to the markets.

i think it all depends in every given scenario. but yes, i am using diversification in my portfolio. and most of the time, if my instincts says that i need to sell this coin or token because it is going nowhere, i have to follow. otherwise, i will lose the opportunity and will be left bag holder of a worthless coin.

What you are doing is the correct way when ever the altcoin is giving profit it is always correct to start taking profit because it will come down which goes up so you can buy back in low the same coin if it is worthy.

you are correct, diversification is very necessary if one wants to be a successful investor. I have learnt that it helps spread investment risks.

I invest in different kind of coins since I use a multiasset wallet.
Whatever wallet you used, diversification should be followed as a good technique. Diversifying will help me lessen the lost and gain better profit since I'll not be missing any sudden pump a coin could offer. But knowing that Bitcoin is the most established coin, I allocate greater volume of my investment on it.
The current situation favors you because price is very poor but BTC has not fall a lot, unlike altcoins which falls 2 times or more than the BTC's movement. In every venture, we need to learn how to minimize the risk and in crypto, the only asset we can trust is BTC as if BTC will fall, the entire ctypto will also fall, that's my own analysis also. The only thing to consider when diversifying is securing your funds in a safe place since you'll be holding it in longer term.
This is a must, store it safely since you consider this to grow in the long run and it's going to be your future as we are hoping to make a fortune with investing.

In this case, I do nothing, just wait. Buying any altcoin is a risk of losing money. I think it's better to get less than to lose everything!

This is the only way to find something worthwhile among all the trash. It is on my own experience and mistakes, and most importantly the search, that you understand all the features of the choice and the main factors for this.

In the bear market, if the price of the token I hold is unusually strong, I will not hesitate to sell it, and then buy it when I wait for the low price.

You must have a strategy and you must think in advance to what point you will store the coin. I prefer to keep my coins until the bull market comes, for maximum profit. In my opinion, it makes no sense to change the coin for something else, it is better to replenish the portfolio with free funds.

I usually prefer diversification than holding a certain crypto for a long time and wait for its profit. Your risk of losing is very high when you put all your assets in a single crypto because if that coin fails, everything fails. Its better to divide your assets in different crypto to minimize your risk and at the same time, you have the chance to earn something.

It seems to me in the cryptocurrency world, diversification, this is the first thing that everyone should take care of. Of course, it all depends on the size of the investment. The greater your investment, the wider the range of diversification should be.

Of course, each individual will have a different strategy in investing, everything depends on your trust. For me, diversification is a reliable strategy. Spending money on only one project is very risky, it's better to share it with several projects both the results of your analysis. So the chances of losing will be less.

Diversification is a good strategy if you will invest on those altcoins that survive in a bearish market and those at top 20 coins in the marketcap are the best coins to consider. Why you will invest on those shitcoins that will hit the bottom and absorb the dumps from market manipulators. It's a high risk to put your money on those cheap altcoins that will easily shaken when the market goes bearish.

The risk will be reduced but the lack of trust in other types of coins that are not so profitable. So you will have the thoughts many times to do that.
