Ouch, man! You're kidding! What are your proofs? To reach 300sat would already be an achievement.

I noticed a new ticker on bittrex. Does that mean my old paper wallets are now worthless?

No, the change of tickername was decided already long time ago and done by some exchanges right as it was new. Bittrex only decided now to update their ticker to show the correct name.

So you should be fine:)

OMG it peaked to 16000+ Sats!

Fucking finally. Thanks bittrex!

I don't know how Bittrex managed to do this, but before this skyrocketing, I had a series of open orders to sell Myriad at prices 200-1300 sats, and the orders were not executed, they just disappeared. The balances now as like as I have never set these orders. It looks like Bittrex just playing with itself to increase volume. Otherwise the orders must have been executed, not disappeared.

To be more specific, the private key of a paper wallet would not include the ticker symbol. It might be there for decorative purposes only, but distinct from the address or private key.

I think the way their system works they basically had to open a whole new market with empty books and clear the old ones. The "skyrocketing" was on extremely low volume, so it's not like you missed out on much.

May be you are right, but as an exchange client I shouldn't know how they do it technically, it is their problem. I've placed the order, it must be executed. Bittrex is responsible for this.
They even didn't make any announcement for clients about the necessity to place orders once again. The orders just disappeared.  Decent exchanges shouldn't do such things, do you agree?
As for volumes 660 BTC per day they are quite high for MYR, and a perceptible part of this volume was at prices 200-400 sats. So due to this issue we missed a lot of money.

I'm sorry this happened to you, but I don't feel it's Bittrex's fault. They do state in their terms that orders are removed after 28 days, which is different from other exchanges. I know in this world nobody has time to read the fine print anymore, but it is your responsibility if you're trading to find out this info. Just take it as a lesson.

XMY has been the name on cryptopia, and the TREX didn't change its name until yesterday. Many people don't know that XMY and MYR are the same coin, which is very interesting, which leads to the frequent occurrence of price difference.

Thank you for this info, I didn't knew it also. But in this particular case, I think the truth is that Bittrex opened completely new market XMY-BTC as was written above, with blank orderbook. I suppose that because my order history in XMY-BTC is blank, but I actually had a lot of completed orders on MYR. So, it doesn't matter, was it old  MYR order (>28 days) or new one (<28 days) - it just left in closed MYR-BTC market and was not executed. This is, for sure, the fault of Bittrex.
