I am unable to understand this BC Multipools scheme. I seek to understand how this works and what is in it for the cryptocoin community as a whole and also the idea behind the Crypto Currencies.

My understanding of BC Multipool Scheme:

Multipool will mine the most profitable alt coin.
It will exchange those coins for BTC
BTC will then be converted to BC on exchanges
BC price will keep increasing as the increase in hash rate.

When many people mine on these multipools, the hash rates of these alt coins will depend on the where multipool  is mining. As these multipools keep dumping these alt coins their value will diminish and the coin will die eventually. Now, these multipools should keep finding the profitable alt coins. But if they keep killing these alt coins what will be the point of any other alt coin.
 
I am very confused. Can someone knowledgeable shed light on this…

I run 2 x R9 290s on groestl at 15Mh/s each, the system uses 344 watts.

could you give it a try with groestlcoin algo on groestlcoin to see how you benchmark that ?

Downloaded their miner, unpacked it and ran it.  I got 6.041Mh/s on 1 card and 8.440Mh/s on the other (same parameters).

Then I had to restart my rig because GPU 0 stayed at about 2Mh/s below GPU 1 when I started my normal setup.

Now they are both happy again at 14.99Mh/s and 14.85Mh/s respectively.

Test complete!  

Edit: Their site says 9.8Mh/s for a 290 and I probably could have reached that if I messed around with it for a few days, but . . .
