2018 is not a very prosperous year for cryptocurrency

Hey guys, I just wanted to share. I've observed and read many articles too regarding this topic and I would like to hear your opinion regarding this. Do you think that the cryptocurrency market is on a downward trend? Would altcoins be following this trend as well? Since Jan 2018, the market of crypto had been moving up and down way too much in a very short period of time. Do you think it is possible for an entity to manipulate the market so big?

Same thing said by so many school of thoughts, but looking at the charts, it will be noticed that the market had a very huge bull run late last year to early this year, from all indications, the correction will still continue for sometime before another run

I believe that there is manipulation in any kind of market including the crypto market that is. With tons of coins of whales i think they can manipulate the market.

I don't think it will be good to say already that it is the a prosperous year for crypto since we still are in august. You should let the year end before you speculate something like this.

This year is full of chaos and drama, all altcoin prices have decreased, the market is very weak and accidents continue to happen, this year there are many ICO Scams, this year really makes everyone frustrated and desperate, hopefully by 2019 it will be a year better .

To be honest, this year's cryptocurrency is the worst year. All cryptocurrencies are plummeting, the market is declining, and I don't know when it will end. I sincerely hope that the market will get better early and stabilize the market price.

Crypto usually pump and hype in the last 2 or 3 months of year end, we still have a long way to go in 2018.

We are on the Q2 of this year, and there’s a lot more to happen witn Q3 and Q4 we can’t say that it is’nt a prosperous year. As we remember last years bull market it started in Q3 and Q4 and so as the prevoius years beyond last year. For now let us wait and have some patience. Manipulation do exist especially for the ones who called as whales in this crypto market.

Overall it's been a great year for crypto. Many countries accepted the existence of crypto and some went regulating it.
Few countries issued their own currencies and others are planning to do so.
Crypto got a lot more media attention and now a larger group of people are aware of it.

I look at it differently.  With all the great buys now is the time to prosper.  Fill your bags then go away for a year.  Come back and you may be the guy showing off the new Lambo.  You can not run scared at this juncture.  You need to be buying not panicking.

If bitcoin gos under 6000$ its the worst year for bitcoin.
All investors and users are really not happy cause of the prices.

You are wrong, it is not good for ICO and fast profit, but cryptocurrency is go on and move forward, crypto going strong and more people know about it, and more projects are developing.

As the majority of people are selling off their bitcoin caused by they news about ETF has been delayed and it looks like crypto is obviously on the down trend. This will be over when crypto gets another rumour and those speculators will be buying it again in the future,

I agree this has been a rough year.  I don't think this is natural market action though.  This fall feels very manipulated and drawn out.  Also the fake pumps before a larger price decline over and over are signs of blatant manipulation.
