I always liked this coin and had blast mining it in my early days.

How can you help?

Where is the original DEV?

Same, I also had fun mining it in the beginning & have always been fond of the concept of this coin.

Well as a starting point, I can rebuild the wallets with fresh hard coded nodes & get everyone synced up again. That needs to be point number 1.

Where is the original dev? Good question..We wouldn't be having this conversation if he was still around lol.

Did EDU fork at some point?
or is my memory too fuzzy...something about cutting the amount of coins down.

the last wallet I used worked fine, but I don't even know where it anymore.

Need to start looking

Does anyone have a node to add to the conf file that works?

I'm going to be taking care of that soon.

I need to find the highest block height to build the nodes with, then ill create new wallets with hard coded nodes & it wont be an issue anymore.

If everyone can please open their wallets (I know, you have 0 connections) & report their block heights to the thread I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Perfect, thank you.

Now we need as many people to chime in as possible so we can find the highest block count.

If the genuine QT wallet for windows is needed, I can upload it.
I still have it zipped as it was downloaded from the OP.
By the way, how much time is needed for your wallets to open?
Mine takes about 20 minutes.

My block height is 1488353
Last block time is Sun Feb 7 22:47:16 2016

Another thing to keep in mind. Be careful as there is another similar coin called educoinv (v for Vietnam)

No thanks, Its not needed at this time.
It takes about 20 min for the wallet to open after you've started it?
1,488,353 blocks? Highest one so far!
I didnt know there was an educoinv lol..I took a quick peek in there & it seems like it never got much traction.

Yes, it takes 20 minutes to open after I started it.
I have the same with other wallets but it only happens if I have too many transactions.
With EDU it is always happening even if the wallet is empty.

I believe my block height is one of the highest. I think I was using it till last day.
I still have unconfirmed transactions Cheesy

Sounds good thank you, the updated wallet is pretty much ready. I'm going to create a new checkpoint once I receive your blockchain, then I can release the wallet.
