Miners have no reason to mine the coin currently, since no exchange yet and the super easy part of the mining is well behind us.

@Vardiff:  The Youtube link the link you provided is not EduCoin (EDU), the cryptocurrency.  That video talks about Educoin (lowercase) which is a startup company using "virtual currency" exchanged between people but their virtual currency cannot be traded for real currency or cryptocurrency. It is a coincidence that our names are the same. Please see the FAQ in OP for more details.

EduCoin launched on March 11. We do not expect to be halfway to the moon in three days nor is that a priority.  Adoption is our goal and this will take time.
