but whats the basis of 50% max? Nothing in the ToS right?

No, but only the "reinterpretation" by giorgiomassa in his "famous last words":

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=291141.msg5362648#msg5362648

I still strongly believe that any lawyer would agree that the CPP is supposed to continue until the device can be build.

If not, one has to ask if giorgiomassa simply gambled and assumed/hoped that many people would rather give up and ask for a refund?

A lawyer should investigate if giorgiomassa intentionally started this scheme so he could finance his business with our money, and pay us back our own money plus interest only after more than 5 months.
(because that's about the duration bitmine owns your money, until they have to give it back)

I read that too, but the original ToS says nothing about a 50% compensation maximum, so he made up that "rule" later and we should not accept that (it's not legal anyway I guess). I hope Bitmine.ch realizes they can't pull any extra tricks on us waiting customers.... we will see what happens...

For each subsequential 10 minutes you hold the line, you get 10% more attention up to a maximum of 50% ;-)

HAHA!!

Btw. when I visited Bitmine and asked about my order, Christian told me that I will get 2TH. (I've ordered 1TH Rig shipping February)

So how come they give you 100%?
Did you use some kind of jedi mind trick.

Ah wait.. they "promised" you something...
like... do they even have a Rig Prototype ready yet?

is that the reason why RETRO GAMER disappeared? fishy?
@retrogamer regards

year.... where is retro gamer -> we have tuesday and he is LOST..... ohoh....

"ein schelm wer böses dabei denkt"

Ok now I've read again the last word of retrogamer and I can say with absolute certainty that this phrase "slept in the car at - 15 C is shit still winter in Switzerland" is a lie.

I live near Bitmine and the night temperature don't goes under 0 degree.

If he's so cold, maybe that's the reason why he so desperately needs those professional overexpensive "heating devices" ...

Ouch!

Yes, I asked for a refund on Feb 25th, exactly the day when the 61 + 10 CPP delay allowed me to do so. They have 30 days time to refund me. Until now nothing. Antonio said that maybe they will refund earlier. Let's see. I'll keep you updated...

Did you ask for a USD or BTC refund? I'm wondering at what exchange rate you'll get your refund

Luckily I didn't pay with BTC Smiley, so I guess I will get back USD. Which is kind of stupid, because I gave them a CHF account to refund. But anyway, I will let you know the exact details of the "Bitmine exchange rate" as soon as I got the refund.

I guess I am the only one who read the CPP as 10% extra every 10 days --- means multiply hashrate by 1.1 every 10 days.
100%, 110%, 121%, 133%, etc.

At this point I'd be happy with just a full refund (I paid in Bitcoin @~$500). Forget the extra 10% for all I care, but I believe I deserve Bitmine to refund me what I paid them seeing as they failed so utterly in their promises!

Is a lawsuit my only option now giorgiomassa ?

@georgem, @giorgiotheclown, @min€r, @tranquille: you are pretty much the only users here out of our 1500+ customers worldwide that are so much disappointed, why don't you very simply ask for a refund now that you have the opportunity to do so? So far we received just a handful of refund requests and I'm betting yours are not among them.

Giorgio,

How can we contact your team?. I have sent 2 emails to info@bitmine.ch and a private message to giorgiomassa and got no response so far.

I would like an update on my order.

Yeah, almost 18° in Locarno today.
Never went below 0 the last 4 weeks or so.

moin moin
