For this coin to work, I think the dev should be spending millions (of his 21 million premine) for bounties such as:

- make connections with online kids websites to accept piggy coins
- make connection with retail kids stores (books, toys, games, clothing etc) to accept piggy coins
- tipbot
- a kid friendly video & website explaining how it works, collecting can be fun, value of money etc
- a video & website for parents explaining how piggy coins can be used to educate their kids on the value of saving.
- get on the news! contact reporters. its a good story! This is very important


Without that kid angle really pushed, I think the coin will fail. Its the concept that makes it unique and have potential.

Like vyker said there are bounties for all of this: you can find then on the bottom of the announcement. You also have to understand we are only 1 week old and all of this won't appear magically. Some of the ideas you mentioned are being worked on though

It's likely giveaway coins that he doesn't need. I'd rather keep long term users holding. Let the short term'ers go.

Plus, 10sats is extremely cheap - so he won't have mined those. Won't even breakeven at mining costs with that price.

Until the coin has stability and volume, imo, this coin has no value right now. But I expect to be worth 300 satoshi when things "kick off" - 300 is breakeven for power costs in the EU based on diff of 10.

Hey All,

I have been trying to set up a p2pool pool and have tried to edit the networks.py and bitcoin/networks.py files to match settings.

I have managed to get most of the settings from the source code of piggycoind but I am still receiving an error when connecting to RPC port whether its port 44481 or 44480

and yes, piggycoind is running with the following settings

Yes, we're talking about the googledocs! But I would prefer to discuss amounts in private since it depends on a lot of factors (the project/your experience/the coin's price/your idea/etc..).

I am primarily a VTC miner and investor, but with difficulty way up I started looking for another new coin to start chasing after.
I love the piggy concept, its fun, the faucet graphics in progress look great, and I think its a cool idea to try and attract kids. With that being said, I started mining yesterday with:

I know its only been 24 hours and that is a small sample size, but so far, its been a great pool- no down time, easy to setup, etc. and we are finding blocks at a good rate.
(OK, I am now the one finding blocks, haha) As of this morning, I am the only miner! If you are not happy at another pool, come join me- they also donate to charity so that's an added bonus.
