I don't hold any zeit, but I also think this is a big mistake. Can you think of any coins in the past that have slashed emission and then went on to become more successful? Maybe darkcoin/dash, but that's all I can come up with. I think you will taint your project with the smear that coin emission was halted to benefit early adopters. No one wants to buy into something owned by a small number of people where no more will ever be created; just look at NXT, they screwed themselves over from the beginning using this no inflation logic, and there were probably more people in NXT ICO than there are zeit knights right now.

But, like I said, I don't own any and an not voting, so will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Also, why didn't you make people sign large addresses to cast a vote or something, to prove that you actually have some skin in the game. There's probably people in altcoin section with more sock puppet accounts than you got total votes in your poll...just sayin...

The Coin has been Out for ~3 Years, we are not early adopters, we are the guys in it for the long run.
Guy have you looked at the markets, there is plenty of ZEIT at 1 satoshi , even after the change to ultra low inflation,
it will still take months before that amount is absorbed by the community and the price can rise.

It is amazing how many people that don't even own any are so afraid for ZEIT, you don't even care enough to own any.

Why,  Because I believe in this coin and the community that supports it, we found the flaw with all PoS coins and it is inflation, and we are going to fix it.  

ZEIT started with PoW and then ~ 3 years of extremely low prices, there is no one that has any excuse that it has not been easy to become a substantial owner of this coin.
So the early adopter nonsense is BS.

The guy that owns 1 million ZEIT vote is just as important as the Guy that own 200 million Vote, signing with addresses are irrelevant.

All I can say is enjoy the show, and get some ZEIT before the price increases too much.

Maybe because they are a bastardization of Proof of Stake original design, with Centralization from their creation to now.
I consider none of those a true proof of stake coin.

Look at the following & explain to me how any crypto coin is going to generate over 100 million coins in 7 days and maintain a price of between a penny & $1 :
We either stop inflation or it crushes us, the numbers don't lie.

Let say all of the generated coins were placed on blank Markets with no sell walls yet,
An investor with $35 wanted to buy into ZEIT .
For $35 he could buy ZEIT Entire week of inflation (3,500 coins) at the price of 1 penny each.

However to buy Our Actual ZEIT Entire week of inflation
110,710,184.07 of Coins,
An investor with $35 can only buy the entire amount if the price per coin is .00000009 Litoshi

Now lets say the owners of the inflation , just refused to sell that low, instead placing it all at 1 satoshi.
All they are doing is making an impenetrable sell wall, then next week they do the same, and then next week the same except they drop it off at 100 litoshi and start working their way down.

This is the Danger of Massive Inflation that now threatens our coin (Actually all PoS coins are suffering even the 1% ones) ,
going Ultra Low cuts off the supply of never ending coins that crush our price, it is the only solution and the sooner it is implemented the sooner our price recovery can begin.

The Knights are spread across the planet, we did get to hear everyone's accent, but the Time difference made scheduling a problem.
The Forums proved a better communication for us at that time.

I don't believe our numbers are at the point that make real life meetups feasible.
My schedule is such, I would be unable to attend.
But , if someone wants to attempt one feel free.

I don't believe that team speak server is active anymore.
Many of the Knights revere their privacy, so I am not sure how well it will work out.
Plus considering how the price per coin will rise in the next few years & the fact many legal issues have yet to be resolved in all countries,
they may not want to give clues to their real id at the present time.

 

FYI:
Once the Knights numbers are near 300 , I can see us having a yearly get together,
my vote will be for Bali.

Good to see some discussion in the community, even better to see some new faces popping up and adding to the discussion. I find it very positive.
That is something ZEIT really needs long time (and something I was voicing for quite some time already) and we need it in big volume.
I like that we brought to discussion topic of changing the inflation rates.
I am in favour of changes (I voted already), however changes must go deeper, not being limited to tweaking the inflation parameters only. Without getting further development done, be it mobile wallet, be it something else community consider important, we won't achieve much. There are plenty of other coins around, some of them did also adjustment of their parameters over the time, and we have to distinguish somehow from the mass of other coins to catch the attention of people and to be able to spread the adoption of ZEIT. Without that, fundamental condition for me, we may keep the coin specs as they are or change them, it won't matter much in the long run.
