what happened to ethereum?

We exactly realize that the Ethereum is now very down. This dump price of ETH only hits $274.78 today. It is down around -1.85%. Everyday we may see the market analysis of the ETH for sure. but, no good news happens. I also always ask about what happen to ETH. Is seriously ETH collapsing? Well, I don't really hope about the collapse. But, the condition drives me to think so.

What happened to ethereum was that ethereum experienced a price decline as experienced by other friends of crypto currency, even though ethereum was more technologically capable. If seen from the technological usefulness then ethereum should be more qualified and will not experience a price decline. Because ethereum is used by almost ICO to run the project. Therefore, I can only hope that as soon as possible this ethereum price can recover and stabilize. In my opinion it's unfair if technology like ethereum is paid with ethereum prices which tend to be low.

Yes, I agree. Majority is in a downward spiral now. Eth might be the "most popular" right now but a lot are gaining up and have major potential to overtake it soon. Take ByteBall, for instance. Byteball has in-wallet features like real-world ID verification that can make raising ICO funds much easier for both the fundraiser and the person buying the ICO assets. Ethereum, by its design - which is not a bad thing, of course -  was never meant to be used to raise ICO funds. It surely is a powerful platform. BUT using it to raise ICO funds was never the intention.

Ethereum is affected because there's a lot of ICO nowadays that are scam, specially those ICO that are under in Ethereum or ERC20 tokens, they will just scam and scam again, so ethereum is really affected, it is really just SAD because so many people manipulating the market.

All types of Altcoins are having an impact at this time so this is a natural thing that Bitcoin lovers should go through. It's better to be more calm and not panic to see prices at the end of 2018.

I can not say exactly what happened with eth. It seems I heard something that it was a deliberate price reduction by selling a large amount of eth. I do not know when, but the ether will be exactly restored.

I think ICO's started selling their ETH during bear market to cut their losses and lead to more and more price movement downward. I think there's a good chance it will bounce back soon as ICO's still prefer ETH as of this moment.

I honestly believe Ethereum will be back with revenge, once the market is up, things are not looking good for Ethereum right now, but so are the other coins, that is the only consolation so many projects are dependent on ethereum 90% of existing tokens are on ethereum, making it one of the most used token in the crypto world.

don't panic, keep calm. everything will be fine as well as ethereum. currently the market is down and in the red zone, so you don't need to worry, because not only is ethereum decreasing but all the coins are in cryptocurrency. everything will recover at the end of this year, keep waiting, a little more.

Ethereum has dipping too much in the market. For my own opinion, i think it is because for a very low demand of ETH that is why ETH has very low price. Hopefully, sooner or later it goes up for the sake of the investors.

Crypto market is red so we expect ethereum will also down and all of the coins. Don't worry and don't panic market will return and rise from the fall. This is just part of it's volatility in nature. For sure it will rise and everything will recover in the end of the year.

As crypto market down as bitcoin drop down it must be affected the ethereum and coins but no need to panic this drop down soon be change to go up as market go up than ethereum will recover himself.

I think Ethereum is being manipulated down to this price. I do not think it's natural at all to have the #2 coin down 80% from highs.  Ethereum is running 100's if not 1000's of projects.  It will eventually spring back.

I share the idea of many people here that ETH will continue to drops to $150- $200 before it recover (great again !!)
I am so lucky that I sold out all my ETH at about $450 as my friend's suggestion. Now I can buy it again at about $270 (if I want, but I will wait until it drop below $200)

I think we can't point to the one coin because almost all of the coin is now dropping due to the huge dip that we are now experiencing, I think we need to wait ffor the price to rise up high before we sell our ethereum the ethereum price today is almost drop a half of its price before.so selling is really lossing this time.

Ethereum is just experimenting a bad point in its history that is all, but I have no doubt that is going to make a come back but until it does take advantage of it, there are many people selling their coins in panic and losing money in the process when the right thing to do right now is to buy ethereum and hold for a long time, I know it can be difficult but ethereum is probably going to be one of the best investments of the next year and you can obtain profits easily if you invest now.

currently the price of crypto was down, not only eth but other alts have also decreased. it will make many people are panic and not a few people who sell their coins when the market prices was drop like the current situation. they didn't know that it could make the market price are getting down.
