just one thoing comes on my mind, to switch off one after another and rescan after that and check witch one is it...
No leds tourned on as it was ussually.
Thx Ztex for REV 2 !

EDIT: is it possible to implement "BIG CLUSTERS" edition into it ? It`s really hard to find sommething under screen :/

  Bus 001-5     : 10 miners
  Bus 001-6     : 8 miners
  Total         : 67 miners

If one FPGA disappears for some reason it is not found by a rescan unless the board is plugged off and on.

The troublemaker can be found by taking a look into the log (search for "error").

Or simply restart the cluster (you did not use the serial number feature for easy identification).

There where several news within the last weeks:
  • A new revision of USB-FPGA Modules 1.15y is shipped since end of September. The new FPGA Boards have on-board temperature sensors. Products page (http://www.ztex.de/usb-fpga-1/usb-fpga-1.15y.e.html) has just been updated.
  • A testing release of BTCMiner with support for these temperature sensors is available too, see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=40047.msg1278453#msg1278453
  • Until Oct. 26 2012 there is an approximately 10% discount on USB-FPGA Modules 1.15y. Prices are
    1-4 units: 899 EUR / 1205 USD
    5-9 units: 809 EUR / 1079 USD
    10-24 units: 729 EUR / 979 USD
    25-49 units: 649 EUR / 869 USD
    50-99 units: 629 EUR / 839 USD
    100+ units: 609 EUR / 809 USD

The test version runs fine here. Any plans for new products in the ASIC direction ?

Thx for the hint ztex.
Today i`ll put a sticker on every board with a serial.
But still, there could be notyfication at the end of the cluster information, that "XXXXX" is overheating/missing.
It`s hard to hunt with 68 miners, and i`ll try to make it even harder.

Virtual or real ASIC's?

Virtual ASIC's are developed on request. Just write me how much MH/s you want and I will send you an invoice. ;-)

Real ASIC's are more complex. Such large devices are everything but trivial and it is quite likely that more than one attempt is required.

I consider it as too risky (and I strongly recommend not to invest money into ASIC products until a working prototype has been seen.)

I will not discuss this topic further.

Serial number feature is the ability to give the boards an individual and more handy number than the MAC adress which is used as default, see http://www.ztex.de/btcminer, topic "Running a FPGA cluster".

If a fatal error occurs the miner is not removed from the status message list. Instead of the statistics you see "... Error: ... device disabled since ...". After a rescan these devices are removed from the status list.

I have no link and evidence. the fact is that there is still no single photo of a real device or prototype. And this is the problem.
