It's now 2 years that they blocked covertly all my withdrawals, including all crypto means, without informing me of the block or of any issue.

They just blocked the withdrawals, not the deposits or the trading, in order that more money could be trapped and more trading fees paid, even if their own TOS says that in case of block they have to inform the customer: "useful efforts by TRT to contact the User" (8.4 of their TOS: https://therocktrading.com/en/pages/terms-and-conditions).

They changed the link, but the TOS is still the same old one, that they are completely breaching.

SCAM ALERT: All order books of The Rock Trading Exchange (www.therocktrading.com) are created by their bot and they use them to scam customers. They are also trying to steal 35519 euros. Read an updated summary on the OP

I am completely convinced if they could go back in time to make the choice to selective scam you or not - they would choose to not do it.

They way they have been exposed and humiliated in this forum after you opened your threads to let us know about them and their scam, it was a spectacular disaster for Rock Trading and its scammer owner Andrea Medri because their business has been in a steep decline.

The two years you have had your funds stolen by them has been a 2 year failure of their website/exchange too. Very soon their Rock Trading website will vanish because nobody will use them but I hope they release your funds to you before they taken over by an administrator/liquidator.

Yes, for now they suffered the consequences of their action only on their reputation, but they are playing with fire also with the subsistence of their business, their money and their freedom.

They think that their lies are going to shield them from criminal responsibility, but some of them are so blatant that they are the greatest evidence against them, as they clear show what was and are their real intentions.

Actually, they confessed publicly on this forum very damaging intentions. Far from helping them, many of the CFO posts here are going to backfire completely.

We'll see what the Italian authorities will decide.

The Rock Trading Exchange published a text about the 5th AML European Directive: https://blog.therocktrading.com/amld5-not-an-obstacle-for-cryptocurrency/

It's not signed, but its content is so full of false statements that its author has to be the Rock CFO. No one else would risk to publish something like this.

He states that "following the application of the V Directive coming on January 2020".

I) The 5th AML Directive is in force since 9 July 2018.

II) But Directives aren't directly applicable, they just bind states to adopt national legislation according to their terms.

III) 10 january 2020 is just the dead line member States have to adopt national legislation. Nothing will really change with this date, especially on customers vs exchange relations, as is very usual for States to ignore these dates.

So, one from two alternatives must be true: either he doesn't care about writing about issues he knows nothing about and don't even research them before writing or, as usual, he is blatantly lying to his customers.

I'll address the other issues about his text on another post.

Anyone wishing to confirm what I wrote on the above post just have to check article 4 and 5 of the 5th AML Directive:

"Article 4

Transposition

1.   Member States shall bring into force the laws, regulations and administrative provisions necessary to comply with this Directive by 10 January 2020. They shall immediately communicate the text of those provisions to the Commission.

When Member States adopt those measures, they shall contain a reference to this Directive or be accompanied by such a reference on the occasion of their official publication.

2.   Member States shall communicate to the Commission the text of the main provisions of national law which they adopt in the field covered by this Directive.

Article 5

Entry into force

This Directive shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union."

The Directive entered into force on 9 July 2018, as it was finally adopted on 30 May 2018 and was published on 19.6.2018.

The official text of the Directive and the quoted dates, published by the European Union, can be found here:

They can try to misuse their position all they like and twist the interpretation of the directives but they are nothing more than liars and modern day common criminals.

The only thing the Rock Trading scammers had as leverage over you was them stealing your crypto and even then they could not stop you from exposing them. You should be proud of yourself because of the way in which you have maintained dignity throughout this process and have helped to bring their scam out in the open. Many potential investors have read these threads and decided to sign up to a different exchange because they are in fear of getting selective scammed too.

Rock Trading scammers have gone to extraordinary lengths  to try to attack you and also to try to belittle you but you have been focused and were not distracted. I am sure you will be returned your money either when the Arbitration process ends and finds in your favour or when they decide to return your funds to minimise their negative publicity.

Yes, the Rock CFO posted every lie possible (and impossible!) in order to avoid the negative judgement of the community, but he failed miserably and even helped me a lot.

It's because of this that he even renounced his bitcointalk account. He and his Rock Trading Exchange are completely burned here.

And this will stay here for everyone to read for good!

Actually, I couldn't care less for his fake (FAQ, volume, facebook reviews, etc) Exchange, but all their customers will know what kind of persons manage it.

You are right, this won't stop ever until the authorities force them to return my money back.

Returning to the misleading text of the Rock CFO on https://blog.therocktrading.com/amld5-not-an-obstacle-for-cryptocurrency/

Beside writing false statements about the date when the V AML Directive entered in force (check my previous post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4975753.msg53447893#msg53447893), he also mislead the readers suggesting that this Directive will change everything on the rules of KYC of crypto Exchanges.

In reality, the V AML only demands KYC when there is conversion of crypto into Fiat currencies.

So, article 1, no. 1, al. c), of the 5th AML directive just includes as subject entities: “providers engaged in exchange services between virtual currencies and fiat currencies;”.

Not trading services, but exchange services. Which implies withdrawal to the banking system.

The official text of the Directive and the quoted dates, published by the European Union, can be found here:
https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=CELEX%3A32018L0843

Therefore, current Italian Law on KYC duties applied to crypto exchanges is already fully compatible with the V AML Directive. And this isn't surprising, since Italy adopted the last legislation about AML and KYC, its Legislative Decree No. 90 of 25 May 2017, which applies also to crypto exchanges, less than 3 years ago, when the project of the V AML Directive was already known.

The current Italian regulations only need some adaptation about Wallets.

On the quoted text (https://blog.therocktrading.com/amld5-not-an-obstacle-for-cryptocurrency/) the Rock CFO also writes "and during the last recent months, we have been repeatedly understandably criticized for our meticulous AML/KYC procedures".

This is a slight understatement. They were just burned by their scam on the most important forum on the bitcoin world and even renounced any participation and their accounts on this forum.

Anyone using KYC demands as a pretext to keep a customer's money blocked "forever" (his words) couldn't expect less than that. Not that he didn't try to escape this by all means possible, including his blatant lies posted on this forum.

If you are right, I am happy the OP will not back down and will chase this issue until conclusion because these scammers at Rock Trading should not be allowed to get away with scamming the OP or anybody else.

This scam Rock Trading crypto exchange is probably very close to being shut down, they have zero reputation and they are not exactly setting the crypto world alight with either innovation or content.

They overstepped the mark and misjudged the situation when they selective scammed the OP thinking they were stealing from an easy target but they certainly got that wrong and never expect this response.

This case, under different aspects, was subject of complaints to three different Italian authorities, besides the complaint to the Italian Financial Arbitrator.

One of them will act. But more complaints are being prepared. This will go to the last consequences.

If they think that they will be able to keep my money "forever" as the Rock Trading CEO wrote here for everyone to read, thanks for all their lies and masking changes on their FAQ, they are very wrong.

I'll keep everyone up to date about this.

Don't think that I'm the only one complaining against the Rock Trading Exchange.

An hacker stole the password of one of their customers and then hacked the Rock Trading in order to withdraw 5 bitcoins without the need of the security PIN that customers have to use to withdraw their crypto.

So, the Rock Trading Exchange was hacked, but denied all responsibility and the Rock CFO lied as usual, denying that they were hacked.

Their customer and also victim posted about it here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/b4vsat/help_me_5_btc_were_stolen_on_the_rock_trading/

I think this shows yet more negligence on part Rock Trading. They are not fit for purpose and should really be closed down. They dismiss any form of criticism and do not take responsibility for their actions or or inactions. The decent thing to do would have been to own up to the fact they were hacked and then reassure whatever tiny number of users they have left that they would be tightening up their security but they denied all knowledge just to try to save whatever little reputation they have left.

Do you have news from the arbiter about what is going on with the case?

Denying any responsibility and hiding their actions behind lies just confirms the patterns we can verify on my case.

There was no answer at all from the Arbitrator. They usually take about 11 months to decide, but I'm starting to doubt that they will rule this case.

Anyway, their ruling isn't binding, so the Rock CFO wrote here for everyone to read that they weren't going to abide for the decision: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4975753.msg50017001#msg50017001

But the Italian Garante of Privacy and Italian Organismo Agenti e Mediatori also received complaints.

This will be decided, no matter how many authorities have to be contacted.

Just to add another information about the hack described above:

A forum newbie member contacted me by private message and wrote that he knew how he could withdraw from the Rock Trading without the need to insert the designated security PIN.

The Rock Trading had logs about all withdrawals. They know perfectly well that they were hacked, but, as usual, they decided to lie about it and hide their responsibility on the 5 btc hack.

The victim told me that he was thinking to sue the Rock because of this.

Did you advise them to take legal action? What options does the victim have if not legal action?

Yes, I did.

But he didn't post or say anything new about the situation or his complaint against the Rock. I doubt that he reached any deal. Because of the kind of people who manages the Rock and because the victim would remove his post on Reddit or add some update, saying that the situation was solved.

Actually, this happened several months ago, on March and April 2019. I just decided to wait to see how it would end before informing the community about it.

On the Italian thread about this scam, there is a legendary member complaining that the Rock Trading also froze his account and is blackmailing him to send his documents.

He also added that he refused to accept the new FAQ, but his account is still blocked. He can't even check his balance:

It seems that the Rock Trading CFO learned nothing with the reaction of the community and the complaints pending against him and his company.

On the contrary, it seems that he thinks he is going to be able to keep my money "forever" and, so, that it was a good deal.

So, he decided to do the same to all their unverified customers. He blocked all their accounts, blackmailed all to give their documents (without any regard for consent and Italian Law) and is expecting that a few won't comply and he will be able to pocket also their money with a "fair" pretext.
