Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

I'm starting to work in crypto. When I choose ICO projects I take into consideration those projects that my experienced good friends advise me. So I save time for other activities.

I'm not too dizzy to see a good project or not. I only use a comparison of past projects to determine the project whether it's good or not. It can be seen from how they communicate with the support community, then how they facilitate investors and supporters, clarity of the roadmap, transparency about the amount of funds collected. So this will make people believe, so the project will have clear goals and will produce something good.

Nowadays too many scam project just to cheat money, how u guys determine is it a good project?

Of course you can not trust these beautiful pictures on the sites of the ICO. The study takes quite a long time and not everyone is ready to thoroughly check the project before investing.
You can check how many visitors there are on website - it is good sign if you can see many visitors!!!

1. Check it the team got linked in and determine if they are fit to run such a project with relevant expirience etc.
2. Check social media following / activity, the more followers and interested peps, the bigger the chance of a good listing price.
3. Check the idea, if you first of all like the idea but also see a way that this idea can generate a large network or save money for companies, it sounds good.
4. Check all available code, GitHub if they have a repository, check if there is a white paper / road map or similar and how they express their idea in the publications and of course if everything looks professional, including the official web page design.
5. Check for others that did their research to get some second opinions and if you like all the 5 points, invest what you can afford to loose hehe Smiley

I go through a due diligence process to assess any project before I get involved. I look at the information on the webpage, white paper, github and social media channels and then try to verify that information through third party sources. If I can't verify some piece of information I exclude it from my assessment. The most important thing to verify is the people behind the project and their backgrounds. At the end of the day the project will succeed or fail depending on the people who are behind it.

We are in a period where you will look at an ICO and it looks like a legit one because fraudster have perfected a way to make their ICO to legit and there are ICO that looks legit but developers choose to run away and leave the project or the project cannot gain support, so it's better to check the project from time to time and check if there is a hint that the ICO is not legit.

If you want a simple way to detect it. Then look at signatures of high-rank members on this forum. This is the best, not the time-consuming way.

Meanwhile, I recommend you to check Kamagames token sale. This company has 57M USD revenues and its games were the No.1 Top Grossing App in 101
countries on the App Store and ranked in the top 5 in gross revenue in 45 countries on Google Play.

It is very difficult nowadays to know an honest ico project, there are some ico rating websites that could be rely upon but that belongs to history now due to compromise.
We should consider the simplicity of the project to implement.
We should do our research about the project scalability dont rely on friends for this.

Its not actually the best as legendary users can still be deceived, its not a guarantee that you won't be scammed by anyone that totally looks legit. There are projects that will in every aspect look legit but a scam. Recently if you have seen it there were some projects and this isn't yet final but ABLE project somehow convinced a lot of users but they were accused of being scam.

Well, i can determine good project if their whitepaper has a good information about the coin that they have. Also, if the developers has a previous successful ICO you can consider it as good project.

The first thing to look for in a project is thet quality of the team, there are alot of fancy whitepapers out there that won't amount to a thing and people have started realising this now, why do I need to enter a car when the person sitting on the drivers sit can't drive, if he tries to, the car would crash

There are various factors(which mostly work out):

1. Whitepapers: An elaborate yet well defined whitepaper determines how much thought has been invested in the details of project.
2. Website: We often ignore this part. A trader who wants to establish his project strongly in the market, will invest time on his website.
3. Team: The marketing team and the support teams play an important role in any ICO's success. A good support system and responses build the trust in the project. We must never overlook these aspects.

Overall, you must also try and find out regarding the team and past experiences if any. It never is enough but surely helpful.
Secondly, never fall flat for attention seeking marketing. What appears attractive maybe short lived.

by looking at the team, advisors, and concepts that are applied are able to manifest and make sense. If the concept given interesting and plausible I think likely the project will get the interest from investors. But if their marketing is great it can happen.

I think all the suggestions from all friends here have in common, to date I have only seen their teams, platforms, roadmaps and whitepapers, if the project team is active on social media and provides updated information, I think that is enough for me. And don't forget you have to do research to see their whitepaper, don't hesitate to ask in the telegram group channel.

I mainly choosing a project based on the concept of the project and the team behind that project is good.
When the concept good enough and has the chance that many people will be able to utilize/make profit from it, then i'll choose it.

Nowadays too many scam project just to cheat money, how u guys determine is it a good project?

As of now if  I`m looking for some possible good project, I look with in their ICOs ratings and comments and I use those information as one of the bases by joining any kinds of bounty program and hoping that I can avoid scam project by using those information, and I look also in their websites because some project has ridiculous website and very obvious that those project has unprofessional  websites to those project are possible scam and fake. Its  better if you can read their white paper in the place where their coins is discuss and analyse the use of their tokens, if the use of their token are not clear in their white paper, those project are possible not good.

Be careful and love to read many articles publish here.

it is very difficult at this time in determining which ICOs are good and ICO scams, sometimes ICO scams are far more qualified in terms of attracting investors because they try to cover up the lies they do, and sometimes good and good ICOs only make simple webs and threads that also less interesting, but my advice in determining the good is the first real team and also real projects, don't be lazy to just read the core of the whitepaper and roadmap

My friend that is the most important thing in crypto world in my opinion.
I learned too many things about choosing the best icos. I want to start with some list.

-Team
-Investors
-Project
-Whitepaper
-Tokens value for future
-Hype
-Communication

Team - I think that is the most important thing in icos. Because team will decide everything about projects future and i believe a good team can handle every problem about project.
So if the team is strong that means  they can solve everyproblem about anything.Because you know icos  can change their names their logos their targets their roadmaps. and teams
decide these things. if they are really stong and intelligent guys. They can handle everything .

Investors- That is another very important thing in icos Really .In my first times in crypto space i dont know much about investors and what they are doing and why they are important etc.
But after some of my experiences they are really important. Firstly they have millions and millions of dollars and they have huge experiences more than every average investors in that ico and crypto space.
So that means If you can see a huge investor name under that ico that means yeah that ico have some bright future because these important guys invested their important money in that project
(- last times that will start to be tricky.because of bear market icos cant collect money easily like in bull so i believe they are buying investors name for using under ico website or they are offering huuge
bonuses for using their names under ico website. so in bear market please dont trust investors name anymore. until next bull)

-Project - Project also important for icos succes. For example in 2018 blockchain projects did really good rois because people believe blockchains future.after that icos start to race for tps. and projects with higher
tps rates start to good roi. so you need to track which type of icos are popular. ( that is for earning money surely not for long term)

-Whitepaper - If you are experienced ico investor you can easily realise which ico is good or bad with only reading their whitepaper. because they have to explain their project in whitepaper with 30 40 50 pages.
So if their project are really important and have a bright future with a very good technology that can fill that 50 page easily. but their project is not good you can see that in whitepaper easily.

-Tokens value in the future - You need to look at that also. Because some icos have offering utilty tokens to investors and that means that token will be valuable in the future only if their platform or
their project reach really big companies in the future. but another hand some projects have offering some masternodes stakings etc etc. so that means investors have a chance to hold that for masternodes and
trying to use that for earning money. so in short term masternode coins with good project may have bright future than normal utility tokens which need to huge adoption for succes.

-Hype - that is also really important for a project.surely sometimes hype is important for short term gains. but some time hype is important for also long term. because hype can create a community and icos need  a community for long term succeses.

-Communication - That is also really important. because you can create a community with a  really good communication you need to be clear about everything. and you need to touch investors heart. icos which have good communication create a strong and good community.

So these are really important. but also there are a important thing. whales.. if you are trying earn money in short term that is importat point for you. if some strong whales inside in that project they can cause immediately a big pump after listing exchanges for dumping theirtokens with high prices so that is a another point.

It is very difficult nowadays to know an honest ico project, there are some ico rating websites that could be rely upon but that belongs to history now due to compromise.
We should consider the simplicity of the project to implement.
We should do our research about the project scalability dont rely on friends for this.

yes, i will do research before invest into any project ..maybe u have other great way to determine it?

the way you do is indeed the best way to analyze an ICO project, everything like a team and an advisor is very influential on the success of an ICO project

Good knowledge comes with experience. Practice more in the selection of projects. Analyze the project and its idea, the project team and its activities.

You just need to do some intense studying and researching, most icos now a days have the same content and ideas. Legit ones are hard to find. You should also consider the team and it's partners, even the campaign manager needs to be considered.

The transparency of the team can gain confidence of the support group and the followers of the community additional factors are the previous projects that are already succeeded manned by the same team. Working products must also take into consideration.

I usually look at many details of the project, such as white papers, team member structure, product sales channels, and product availability!
That is absolutely a very good way to usually identify a good ICO.

Although since the whitepaper is usually technical and I would not want to waste my time on a cloned whitepaper, I usually delve and dig into the team first. They have always been my main priority and as long as I am not convinced enough not to want to drop my funds with such team, I would not even bother going ahead with other details, but as long as this is a team I can rely on with their past experience, involvement in the project, then I certainly start checking the whitepaper, product, the vision and other necessary stuffs.

There were case where even all my checkpoints were met still few projects had disappointed me. Actually those were due to various reason but I just want to mention keep looking for the reason where we had failed to choose an ICO at the same time we need to notice what made us to choose a project which is doing good till date. Yes, both are important to keep rocking among many good and scam ICOs these days.

Now it is very difficult to find a good project, and there are no specific criteria that would always work. Intuition and faith in the project are also important here.

It is important to know the background of the team that is developing the project. Who are these people by profession and do they have the appropriate knowledge? Look for their profiles in LinkedIn, Twitter accounts, Medium, information about their past and how long these people have been working in the cryptocurrency area. More experience in crypto space means that the team is familiar with many things and will be able to offer something new. If it is difficult to find additional information about the team online, this is usually a bad sign.

Check the background of each team member and developers an be satisfied with them. Check the roadmap, the real use case of the project and look out for information in social media and forums. Check out what the team is offering, make sure it is not an offer like too good to be true. That's all I do before Investing in ICO.

You can determine ICO's with the following parameters
(1). Concept of the project: Any project solving no genuine problem should be avoided.
(2.) Use case: Any project without a real use case will definitely turn useless in near future.
(3). Business model: A project ought to have a well defined business model.
(4) Team and Advisors: Any project without a team and/or Advisors should be examined very closely.
(5). Whitepaper: Most fraudulent project don't always put in much effort in producing a comprehensive white paper. Whitepaper ought to contain almost everything about a project and easy to understand.
(6) Milestones: projects with milestone(such as the Beta of their products, or any products they intends to offer), always have better chances of acceptance.
The list continues.......
Others can include their social presence, ratings etc.
The above parameters will most likely reduce chances of falling to fraudulent projects.

It is important to evaluate each new ICO project by its merits, rather than by the hype around it. Given the prospects of blocking technology, it is likely that the new ICO will work with remarkable teams and technologies.

In my opinion and based on my experience during participating in the ICO project, the characteristics of a successful project one of which is by looking at the community in its possession, if the number of members of the community is large and quite active and the developers actively participate in the communication, then the project can be as a serious and potential project for success.

First thing to do is to establish if the team is real, some ICO ratings site will do a KYC on the team, also they should publish some media like photos or videos of themselves promoting the coin. Any team that doesn't has something to hide

Yes, you are right many awful projects in ICO market now. These projects yield huge losses to people. But good projects are, but they aren't enough. At the choice of the project for investments I pay attention on: team of the project (it is very important for me), whitepaper, roadmap

To find a good ICO project, of course we need to find information from friends or colleagues who are experienced and also find information from the project. The first step, at least you can read white paper. It is all as material for us before we move.

Instead of getting suggestion and waiting vto apply. I will share you one idea. Just go to scam acussation section and see the pinned thread which speaks about how to find the scam ICO.
If you don't see the project name there and after the analysis given there you can find best ICO project without help of anyone.

A good ICO project is not as easy to find as it seems.

I always look at the team, advisers and partners of the project.

This is the main thing that can help the project add a token to crypto-exchange

Agreed. This is the one of the most reliable ways to get true information about ICO. But if sought-after project does not exist in this section then DYOR can help only. And in this case you can find some key parameters for analyses.

Hmm,  good ICOs are very hard to spot,  most people will say check whitepaper, research the background and the likes, am still of the opinion that, if you are going to invest, just know that you are taking a risk,  checking all the points listed and rating sites review are good, but you still hold the final decision.

1. Flashy photos and a good page setup. A hard page is what I'm looking for, anything that quickly shrinks without images or video means that developers often make small efforts for currency marketing, which is not a good sign for investment. Remember that you are not alone, you want other participants to also enter the market if you want to sell the currency for profit.
In general, people think that the whole mistake in this, considering that screaming images mean that developers are looking for profits, and the currency is more cheating, and the reality is that if you do a deep statistical analysis and check the structure of currencies, then the opposite is true. The more developers working in a currency, the better, but there may be exceptions, but ultimately the overall statistical performance, which does not matter for an example, is the chosen example.

2. Transparent team. The images and names of all project developers, as well as currencies developed and released by hidden developers, are more likely to cheat or ultimately lose the total cost. It is a fact. Logically, if someone has bad intentions, it is likely that staying in the shade provides better security or perception. A good sign is a team of experienced members who previously produced successful projects.

3 long-term use. Coin, token and system, regardless of ICO or release, is that in the long run it needs a valuable value. Just free up the currency so you do not cut it. Regardless of origin, it must provide real use for the market to see long-term value. This means that when you see that the currency should always think about how to make such assets valuable to certain people, organizations, companies, etc. ...

basically, everyone has their own criteria in choosing a project. who is certain in choosing an ico we must understand the ico that will be followed properly. if not, then we can get the ico that is a scam. in choosing an ico, we can start by looking at the whitepaper. it is one of the things that must be done to be able to understand ico well.

experience is the key to all success, of course the experience of producing knowledge. so you have to find experience first in order to get a lot of knowledge about ico, trade and investment.
my advice, there are many references that share knowledge about ico investment and the following knowledge.

My approach to the verification of ICO, perhaps, a little peculiar. First I look at the product they offer, then I research the team, see how transparently they describe the project, and a bit of a sixth sense.

I determine a good ice by checking their website, team member and their role, white paper, and their ico ratings. Do some research about the projects so that you do not regret.

research. It's always a research you need to do on your own. Even you asking here this question makes no sense at all, you need to determine it on your own. See the team, wp, strategy, experience, viability etc

It’s very confusing, for sure. I honestly think that reading the whitepaper is very important. I know it takes time but if you really wanna know about the project, you should just read. And also don’t forget the team behind the project. If the team is qualified, probably project will be unique and strong, too.

No ICO should initially believe in it until you are finally getting the signature of loyalty! Therefore, the developers behind every ICO must be taken into consideration whether they are working transparently to see whether their past records should be considered, above all, it is very difficult to understand whether an IC0 is cheating! But if you are aware, at least you can avoid losses.

Good knowledge comes with experience. Practice more in the selection of projects. Analyze the project and its idea, the project team and its activities.
The working product and the team have always been two major essential elements for me when it comes to making a decision to invest in ICO. As long as the product does not bring about some unique solution, the team look inexperienced or not certainly the type I will want to entrust capital into their hands, then I bail out completely and maybe monitor the progress in the long run when it hits the market.

There will always be a chance for everyone but it is better to take a calculated risk and be safe than sorry.

Knowledge of selection comes with great experience. Therefore, analyze projects more often yourself. Basically, we need to analyze the idea of the project and understand how promising it is, to analyze the team and their activities, to follow the purse of the project and for the news.

A good ICO project, I think the work of the team is very important. Second, ICO's tokens play an important role in the entire project.

Well, i can determine good project if their whitepaper has a good information about the coin that they have. Also, if the developers has a previous successful ICO you can consider it as good project.

but if a brand new project without any previous project then how u determine?

The first thing to look for in a project is thet quality of the team, there are alot of fancy whitepapers out there that won't amount to a thing and people have started realising this now, why do I need to enter a car when the person sitting on the drivers sit can't drive, if he tries to, the car would crash

LOL Cheesy good explained, thanks dear

What appears attractive maybe short lived.

alright, thanks dear  Smiley

when I want to join a project and determine which projects will be successful later I usually see from the project manager whether he has ever succeeded in managing a second project I see from the allocation for prizes if the amount is very large I usually leave it because it's most likely just a sweet promise.

its true
but it might just look at the original project, yes I see a lot of original projects and no scam projects. but still they are not too special with their ico sales even many who are unable to hit softcap. for me to see the project concept is very important and we can see whether the project is good or not

did not remain on the market of good projects because the market is dying and in such a situation even the best project will not be able to live a long time and bring you income. you can invest in the most honest and ambitious project in the market but he will still go bankrupt and you will think that you cheated scammers

in my opinion Look for something that makes a new round in the old concept or trying to achieve something ambitious. If you see language that is unclear or too grandiose from a crypto project website, stay away because this might be a trick.

thats the risk we as investor have to take. even the project is highly potential, but lack of support will also render all effort useless.

I think the only way for you to determine whether a project is good is by going deeper research about it. You should always try to read the whole whitepaper to be able to understand it's concept. If you've read a lot already, you'll be able to tell which one is good and which one is just another copy of another. Next is by researching about the background of the team.

For me, the first thing I consider is the Team, how credible they are,  then next the project aim. Now see my point of view below :
Can the team achieve the project aim? Is the project aim attainable? How good has the team structured their road map to achieve success? This is where planning comes into the picture.
Then my next consideration is, do they have a working product? Or even an MVP per say? All these go a long way to determine how serious and dedicated the team is.
Then lastly, I consider token economics. What's the price structure like? Does it tally with the total supply? Is it over priced? How many percent will be reserved for the team and for how long (lock period) ? This helps me determine easily the motive of the project, if it's just an avenue to loot assets.
I hope that helps, my humble opinion.

You may need to rad more in this forum. There are many information about this. But at least, you must be good in analyzing the team of the ICO projects. Team must be real and they must be really involved in the projects. Analyze their social media or biography to exact determine real or not. Then, see for the concept of the project as in the WP and also special for the website.

You just have to know the project if it is worth your money. You can do this by reading the whitepaper and ANN and joining their slack channel so you can see what is happening on the project. Does it have a good devs or nice road map? Just getting in there and interacting with the devs, you can see if it will be a successful ICO or not.

A good ICO project must have several requirements; White papers/road maps or the like, and how they express their ideas in publications. A strong team and a strong financial consortium.

You need to look at the team website. We need to see what kind of people are on the team. You can use the services where there are ratings of passing ICO.See what they write in the chat about this project.Learn about competitors. It's a colossal job, but you put your money in it.

That's a wonderful thing also you can get information from social you have to analyse on your own about the project, you have to check their fund raising status and time.

I have a few signs on which I distinguish a good project or not. The first is a team, no newcomers. The second is the understanding of the product. The third is connections and partners. I advise you to pay attention to the project  AERGO. The skills and experience of the team, the support of Blocko and its impressive customer base and the financial backers investing in Aergo can give confidence about the future success and adoption of the project.

by looking at the team, advisors, and concepts that are applied are able to manifest and make sense. If the concept given interesting and plausible I think likely the project will get the interest from investors. But if their marketing is great it can happen.

if project related to famous ppl?

I think all the suggestions from all friends here have in common, to date I have only seen their teams, platforms, roadmaps and whitepapers, if the project team is active on social media and provides updated information, I think that is enough for me. And don't forget you have to do research to see their whitepaper, don't hesitate to ask in the telegram group channel.

what project u invest now?

I'm starting to work in crypto. When I choose ICO projects I take into consideration those projects that my experienced good friends advise me. So I save time for other activities.

How sure that your friend choose the right bounty or not a scam one?
You should do it yourself also.
you can have a good bounty by looking and studying the following:

whitepaper
roadmap
website
team members
addresses

this may help alot to take a good ICO.

First of all, I pay attention to the team.If this is not known and not very clear people(in the sense of it is not clear from what area they came), then I immediately remove this project from my field of view, and of course look at the idea itself, and analyze how much it is really to perform and whether it is needed at all in the community.

If you are looking at the official websites, whitepaper, or social media presence, those are things that can easily be bought.

However, what is very important when it comes to ICOs is to be able to identify a project with a very solid team, that looks like they are absolutely ready to work and not just because they want to make some quick bucks, and then see if there is any minimum viable product which simply shows they are really working even before the ICO, and then every other thing can come into play.

for me, first of all , they have to have a working platform down before anything else. good community, strong project idea, available developers willing to take questions and not just get vexed every time a question about the future is asked. Though a project having all these can still be scam, but it is considerably lesser risk by the time you factor in all these requirements.

There are so many ICOs for sale right now and the experts that can tell you which is the best ICO to make good profit are too few. The task to find the best ICO is really difficult.. unless you know what signs to look for.

ICO stands for the initial coin offering and it’s the first available chance to get involved with a digital currency. It’s usually offered as a pre-sale before being placed on the exchange. The price per coin is lowest during ICO as the coin hasn’t been tested by the market yet, so it gives the early adopters a good possibility to make good profit when it goes out.

In today’s article would like to tell you about the signs of a good ICO that you should be looking for if you want to make real money.
#1. Hype in crypto communities
#2. The available supply
#3. The token price
#4. The developers team
#5. The problem that the coin is going to solve

Nowadays too many scam project just to cheat money, how u guys determine is it a good project?

By checking out their website, whitepaper, details of the project. The numbers of their participants and investors. (Their Community), telegram channel participants. Social media account, the project's demand level, target sales cap and more importantly, their road map.
This is only based in my experience but feel free to find other useful ways to determine a good and legit ICO.

There are so many ICOs in the market. To find a good ICO you need to do a thorough research on parameters like official website, core team, whitepaper, the ICOs social media presence and pleasantries.

You can check the list of upcoming and ongoing ICO at Latest Bitcoin News and ICO Press Release

The first thing I would suggest is going to their website and looking at their development team. You should see a picture and a REAL name to go along with it. If their website lacks leadership information then consider it a red flag, you do not want to invest in an anonymous team

You will never determine a good ico unless you read the white paper so it was very necessary to check the platform of the project before investing a huge amount.

Nowadays too many scam project just to cheat money, how u guys determine is it a good project?
1. Read up on the ICO as much as possible
Check the ICO’s website, read the whitepaper, browse through their team page (the most important!) and even check their social networking pages and channels.
2. Guaranteed Profits
An ICO needs to be as straight as an arrow and not try to push an investor into taking part in its project by ensuring profits.
3. GitHub does not include the ICO’s source code
If your ICO has an empty code repository, that proves that the so-called professional team is lazy and unwilling to perform their best for the company. An ICO would never bow down to the challenges of the public, and will always want to improve that the solution is valid enough to function.
Don’t fret if you’re not an expert in coding, merely check if the repository is active and is receiving regular updates.
4. Unthinkable Premines
Premining allows an ICO to give tokens to a select few people before the crowdsale goes live. It is usually to reward project contributors, developers, and investors. However, if you notice a majority being offered pre crowdsale, you have caught an ICO that is trying to draw with their shrewd tactics of stealing your money.

It's a very hard question. Ehere are too many nuances in this matter. Many simply do not soar and watch what the majority chooses, while others watch the actions of some famous person in this industry. And only a minority try to independently analyze this or that ISO. If you are a beginner, it is better to use the first two options, but if you yourself want to choose ISO, then I would advise you to carefully read the whitepapper. From it you can in principle understand everything, but you can also study the team of creators.

The first thing I would suggest is going to their website and looking at their development team. You should see a picture and a REAL name to go along with it. If their website lacks leadership information then consider it a red flag, you do not want to invest in an anonymous team...

Once you do find them, search for them online everywhere... find their LinkedIn and see what level of credentials they have, what have they worked on and what have they accomplished? Who are their partners? Have they worked together in the past? Etc, etc, etc. Perform as much research on them as you can, you’re not just investing into the coin’s technology… You’re investing in the team.

Also, read the whitepaper. Here you will find out all of the information on the companies plan for what they’re trying to accomplish, how they will use the money, how many coins their team will hold for themselves, and more. Try to make sure the company isn’t too overly optimistic about their goals and visions, as this may raise a red flag as well. The whitepaper may be a boring read, but it is necessary to do.

Another thing you can do is read the ANN thread on Bitcoin Forum - Index. This is just a message board where people discuss cryptocurrencies.

There is a good trick you can use when searching for ICOs on the message board, and that is to search the name of the ICO with other terms such as “scam” or “con” along with them.

If a post is flagged with these terms you can read into why it is.

I will make investment decisions through analysis of many aspects!
  - Is the white paper detailed?
  - How strong is the team?
  -Partner
  - Project sales method
  - Does the project have innovations and needs?

The first thing to look for in a project is thet quality of the team, there are alot of fancy whitepapers out there that won't amount to a thing and people have started realising this now, why do I need to enter a car when the person sitting on the drivers sit can't drive, if he tries to, the car would crash
LOL Cheesy good explained, thanks dear
I really love that analogy used by mummybtc. ICOs are simply more like a car and the team being the driver of the project, and you sure certainly do not want to be involved in a team that apparently does not look like one that can deliver and is just there to get you burned.

Investing is a huge ball game and it takes being careful and the ability to use knowledge and information to discern where you want to be putting your money or not. It is as simple as that. No team, no MVP, no vision, then there is no investment opportunity in front of us and hence we must move on to analyze the next available project. We must have multiple rounds of iteration so that we can filter out what we actually look for. Time is money we must need both time and money to multiply our wealth into another level of being wealthy.

I define a good or bad ICO project by the product of the project. First, can the product or service of ICO be implemented to the end and reach the goal. Secondly, is it possible to develop this product or service and the need for this product in a long time. For example, after 5, 10 years.

Almost all icos now are unpredictable, if it reaches the softcap it seems convincing,
but when the list on the market the price falls.
The solution is you join the telegram group and often ask about the ico.

My policy to determine whether the ICO Project is legitimate is to look at their transparency. This is why you see who are the people who run the project. And of course if this person is known as successfull many will be encouraged and will have the interest to invest.

When choosing an ICO investment project or bounty campaign, the most important thing is the demand for that project. There are many sites where you can see this. One of the best is https://icodrops.com/, where the rating for each project also appears. We must not neglect either project team (number, experience), whitepaper or project funds. But even these aspects do not guarantee that the project is 100% viable. We need some luck.

It is not that hard to determine which ones are good or not, I think the question you should be asking yourself is how good you are when it comes to identifying them ?

Yeah, there are way too many of them and there is absolutely no way you can be certain how a project will turn out to be, and knowing how risky it all sounds, you really want to be able to identify the good ones from the bad ones, and this is where the knowledge of the space comes in which so many investors are too lazy to want to know. ICO projects will always arise one way or the other, but how you are able to spot out a good team, a minimum viable product and good prospect is all that would matter in limiting the risks of investing in ICOs.

for me is simple, you can check at site who check every ico project.
like ico analytic or etc. so focus only ico with highest rating.
for ico with low rating, it mean not good project, or will be scam project.

Yes, there are many project that are scam, but there still project and ico that worthy to invest. There are many ways to find the right and good project, although it laborious I make this everytime finding a good project. First is I read whitepaper and know the concept and platform of that project and then I background check to know if the people behind that peoject are legit and have an expertise to the project and service they want to offer.

Not only does the team need to be transparent, they also need to participate in blockchain events to show how determined they are to let their project be known. Of course this goes without saying that their project needs to be unique and is not banal.

It's a bit tricky even with enough carefulness and thoroughness when selecting a good project there is a time when i miss  and meet that scam project.
But to minimize it i usually selecting that project carefully by checking all of the aspect that are described by the project, including the team, the site, also the selling of the project, if everything is easily accessible and the data of the team is valid then most probably i'll choose that project.

Well there are projects almost similar to each other and I think there is a good potential to such project that will succeed, it just need a break through. Real estate seem to have numerous blockchain projects same with the music related projects, they all just need a good team that can develope a much better platform to make a difference.

The team always are the first to look at and then the working product. Exchange projects are overwhelming so check which of them is going into a platform that has god technology behind it.

Why do people keep saying it is hard to find good ICOs, there is nothing hard as long as you want to make it hard for yourself or as long as you do not want to learn how to make it easy for you.

Just like mathematics, if you do not learn, you won't have a clue how easy it can get when it comes to solving mathematical problems and the same thing applies to anything you want to do which involves ICO investment in this case, and with this, you really want to be sure you are actually taking the right step by knowing how to handle yourself in the space first and identify some factors such as the product, team, technical stuffs necessary before even making a final decision.

I always do my own research on the team and the purpose of the project. It is already hard to find legit ICO. A lot of informations can be find on rating sites like icodrops and icobench. But it is also important to check the company website and the whitepaper. I am also looking for their social media like twitter, facebook and telegram. But also this bitcointalk forum with their members can help you.

quite difficult to avoid the risk of scam and looking for ico that is really quality, there are many ico who have ideas and technology contained in white paper. but it is not a guarantee that it will bring you benefits, that's why discussion is needed especially knowledge.

For me, a good project is the achievement of sales of the token. If the target is a minimum sales already achieved, this is certainly very good. Because with so all who participate in the project, will get a reward. Afterward, you must perform a check display website and the team that is in the project.

I find information or ask about how much money were raised, that is not 100% and even 90% gurantee, but for me this is a good signal that the project is trustworthy

To determine a good project, it is required to perform a study on the project. Read very well the whitepaper and identify the idea or product of the project. Is it feasible enough to attract investors? Read about the credentials of the team members and their crypto experience. Are they capable of leading the project to its success? These few questions should guide in choosing a good project.

Some scam project were too active on social media, since they have more time to update there than on their products. It should be the project itself and team behind them we do searching.

we are currently almost every ICO which cannot be distinguished which one is SCAM and which is good.
try doing your own research to determine whether the ICO is worthy to follow or not. by looking at the development team and they must be real who are always active in social media about how the project develops.

in my opinion to see that good project by looking at the whitepaper and their website, look at how long the website has been active and also their team, the most important is the whitepaper, there are several projects that I have seen, their whitepapers copy from other projects.

To determine a good ICO project, in my opinion you need to use your knowledge and experience to analyze the ICO. You need to pay special attention to white paper, which includes goals, teams, roadmaps and measures to implement ... Projects with meaningful practical goals will have better potential. You also pay attention to the ICO rankings and community responses to ICO ...

To determine a good crypto project you have to carry out a due diligent research by going through the project whitepaper, also you should be able to ascertain the quality of project team, to know if they had previous experience, however a whole lot of work is needed before you put in your money to invest in any project. Thanks

You need to read the whole whitepaper and be familiarize in their project. If the concept got your attention then thats a good one, next is look and search what and who composes their team then next one is the community, they should have a strong mind and not aiming for an easy money.

a good project will continue to look good if seen in several aspects. so will certainly need research and also research on many aspects of the Basic project running. When it is forgotten so reasonable when many are encountered or even been working on scam without them even knowing.

in my opinion, no one can tell you which ico project is the best, even though the idea of the project is very good and unique, but this still doesn't mean that the team from the ico project is bad

This is hard, because today it is very hard to look for a normal project, because today there are a lot of projects that seem to show good indicators, but still scam projects can be found and defined. I think that you need to make an effort.

It is rather difficult to find a worthy ICO. As for me, I start searching for a projects with ICO Drops platform as it provides a full info about upcoming ICOs and almost never list scam projects. Then I analyze the idea and the goals of the project to determine it's potential. After that I check Linkedin accounts of the team members to verify their identity and skills.

To know the worth is to read the content. In order to determine a good ICO, you should first study why and what is the goal of an ICO project, if it leads to much more developed technology innovations, go for it, or even something which might give us opportunity to develop ourselves and the world. But if the ICO has no reasonable reason, I think you can considered it as bad ICO project.

Read the white paper first to see whether the idea is good or bad.
Come to this forum BitcoinTalk and read the ICO's announcement thread to see what people are saying about the ICO.
Look at the ICO team are they professionals capable of conducting the ICO or not.
Then, make conclusions is that ICO worth putting your money or not.

One of the attributes of good ICO is the lack of bounty campaign. Too many projects are specialized on ICO analysis and really good projects are sure to get in sight.

There is a lot of fake/scam ICO but still, you can detect those and find out the best and legit one. What you have to do is digging some more about the team of the IC and whitepaper. Most of the scam ICO come up with a fake team and copy/paste whitepaper.

I think the team is the most important gear in the ICO mechanism. The project with qualified professionals will success. For instance, Georgia-based company Spotcoin hit soft cap of $5 million even before the start of the public ICO. This became real with the coordinated work of the staff which in turn inspires the trust of the crypto community.

You can look at pretty good and well-known managers of bounty companies, but even there you will find quite a lot of projects that are fraudulent. So I think that we should only do the analysis of projects.

There is not one way to determine which of them is a scam, there is always the chance of being wrong when you are investing in an ico so you need to have it at the back of your mind that there is the possibility that you are going to invest in a scam project. For me I read their whitepaper, scam projects cannot be bothered to put any kind of effort into their whitepaper

That is one way of getting to know what type of ICO is really good and can conduct the activity so well. The platform are all set and has a good direction. The team will inform us more updates and also the teams perseverance and hardwork at all times.

Many influencing factors to determine ICO are good or not. You can see from the rating, Team, Background, Ideas, work plan, vision and mission. You can find all of them in the ICO holder or ICO bench. Of all that, you may determine whether the ICO project is good or not.

to determine whether a project is good or not is indeed not easy, first we must be very careful in seeing a project, not to be fooled.
I myself will determine the good project if it is managed by a good team. then selling the tokens is high. and the project roadmap is very clear. I think like that.

A good ICO project represents a great idea and offers at least an MVP. Moreover, a profitable ICO should follow their roadmap and have a very detailed whitepaper and not just 5 pages. I would also check the developer team as well.

It is difficult to find a worthwhile project. There are even projects with very good ideas, but when it comes to the truth it is difficult to find a real use for that currency. I also look at similar projects and see if they have worked or not. Apart from all that, I obviously also study the team of developers, I look at the LinkedIn profile, twitter etc. I also see if they have an active community, if the admins are online most of the time and they help you if you have questions or problems. I also consider important if the roadmap is a with within the stipulated deadlines.

An example of an ICO in which I have just invested is EVOAI and it fulfills everything I look for. The first two rounds have already been sold at a good pace and it is expected that by the end of December the sale will end. In the end they will burn the tokens that have not been sold, which will help to keep the price of the token. It will be a trading platform that will work with bots, one of them will do arbitrage between exchanges and will pay your profits directly in your erc20 wallet. I post here the link to the website in case you want to take a look: https://www.evoai.network/

Initially I participated blindly in every ico and success rate was 5 to 10 percent, then I moved to ICO rating websites, I selected few websites like icobench and bountylord and the success rate remains same. Now I am looking for team, product, social media pages and still result is same. Now I have decided to participate blindly again.

With the present situation of things, scam projects will efface gradually, because they will not be able to survive in this dip. Investors will be more careful on the project to invest in, because they will not like to waste their money. Even if you as a person find it difficult to recognise a good project, just look out for one you feel o
is good, but not too sure of and be on the lookout for the response of the community and how much the project team is able to give precise, concise and intelligent answers to questions being asked.

I consider the team behind the ICO, experiences and the application of the product to the community. We have many ICOs that have the same application and the competition is too tough for a newcomers that will resulted to failure during the crowd sale.

I'm starting to work in crypto. When I choose ICO projects I take into consideration those projects that my experienced good friends advise me. So I save time for other activities.

That is a good advice. I would like to try that. I have many friends in the telegram, a close one too. And when they pick a project that they want to invest, succeeded. Maybe I try to ask them next time what project is good to invest. Thanks

a nice project to have the system and the concept of good in it. In addition, the team background anew will also be the base of operations of the ICO project are successful and not. I agree with your thinking that good ICO has a good system and concept. Team background also needs to be considered. The development team and advisory team also came to my attention when I chose ICO. I myself have the names of the development team and my mainstay advisory team where they already have a good name, good trust, and most of the projects that they work on always succeed. As investors, we must have high accuracy and analytical skills so that we do not go wrong in choosing ICO. Our high flight hours and our experience are very useful because of course we can learn from the mistakes that we made before.

Yeah, really what you say. I am agreed with you. Indeed analysis is the most important factor for us to be successful in choosing ICO. Without doing our own analysis, we will only be overcome by doubts when choosing ICO. I myself always do analysis before I choose ICO. This analysis is very useful for me because in taking part in the ICO, my heart has become steady and sure of success through this ICO. I usually do analysis by drawing four boxes on one large paper. I give the four boxes the names of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. I will write these four boxes about the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats faced by ICO after I read this ICO website and whitepaper. With such a description, I can consider whether the ICO is suitable for me to follow or not. That's my simple way to analysis the good ICO.

Many projects are still good and can be successful. I am looking for projects through the ICO ranking website. On the website, you can search for projects that have the most votes. After you get the ICO project, it's better to check it again. You can start checking from the appearance of the website, the development team must be experienced, the project roadmap must be clear and real.

Usually, I ask for advice from friends who have experience in ICO. He has good analysis so I believe it. Besides that, I also saw the promotion of the project, if the development team dared to advertise on various websites and media, I think the development team had good vision. Btw, I don't trust the ICO rating because the ratings are often inaccurate.

Good ico project is rare to meet at the moment. I like blockchain 4.0 projects, multiblockchain projects, privacy coins. There are several patterns of sucess ICO. Firstly you should make sure that ICO isn't a scam and then you have to check it for tokenometrics, funds raised and github. Check out VC to participate in tokensale.

I agree these services are paid service to pump up the project.  I have seen several services that offer reviews to different ICO project in exchange for payment.  They are no different than paid shills.  If you want to determine the legitimacy of the ICO, you should look for the team identity, the legitimacy of their partnership, and the licenses they should have if the project need it.  It is kinda need a lot of work but it is better than giving away your money for nothing.

Btw, I don't trust the ICO rating because the ratings are often inaccurate.

It is kinda need a lot of work but it is better than giving away your money for nothing.
there are a lot of good things in the ico world andni believe that it will be more and more of them as we need them so much

find great project would be a hard thing. looking for a team that can run the project believed to be true is a thing that is difficult is found in time. most projects have indeed contained this scam and that become obstacles due to the resemblance of a scam and no. a mature analysis will be helpful whether it viewed the full concept on team information and whitepaper available. When this suspicious then leave.

With the current state, itts gettinf harder to connect to those legit projects. Sometime even profesional got tricked on some launched ICOs what more on those beginners level who just keep entering on some flashy ICOs. The competition becoming harder and the approach to use becoming smaller to identify which is which to trust. But I suggest dont invest in ICO phase stage but wait for that projects to get listed to see which one is sincere and not just talks.

I am always reading the whitepaper and if you have read over 200 papers, you can recognise a scam project with the first look. A project that aims to collect 100 million USD, is not allowed to have 10 pages text as a whitepaper.

I personally first chose the ICO project for the place of investment, I saw from the site and also the team in the project and of course I followed the development of the project a few days before I decided to join. in all of these ways, in my opinion, it is quite effective in determining a good ICO.

There is no clear instructions on how to determine whether this is a good project or not, only after a time you begin to understand what is good and what is bad, you begin to find certain parameters, which then focus. Each defines these parameters in its own way.

For me the most important criteria when investing in ICO is if it has a proper use case and which sector it covers.
How big the market is for that specific product, will be enough demand for it ? etc.
Then looking the team experience if they are capable to turn the dream into reality. If these are
ok.  then moving to examine other important criteria.

to declare the project a nice easy thing instead of ICO. There is a huge scam and even almost always similar to the original and making an analysis of the ICO is a hard thing to do. really need to do some research on the basis of a mature to be able to distinguish a scam and not. not only see the analysis from one side only but many aspects there would be decisive.

I will consider what is the purpose of the project? What are the competitors like? And why it needs blockchain? Then I will explore how the project team and the community evaluate the project.

It depends on what an ICO claims they are offering and what progress they have made so far since the project was launched.
Personally I invest in blockchain projects which is better as it is always visible, the progress made on the roadmap and working prototypes that has been released.
At least a testnet should be available

To identify a good ico project we need a lot of good project examples when potential investors and project team support teams and the product of the investor brings a lot of benefits to the society.

to be able to determine ICO good projects maybe I will only see the concept of the project they have, the team they have and finally I will look at some ico rating web sites to see how much this ICO value is given from some ICO ratings.

When come across a scam then look at it well and learn why it could be a scam. It would be useful to avoid the next scam. In addition to do a deep research of the team and read the whitepaper that is there because it will determine whether a project is either a scam or not.

Good ICOs can't be determined beforehand unless and until you go ahead and invest. Some turn out to be good and some turn out to be scams. If you want to make sure that ICOs turn out to be scam-proof you can go ahead and checkout various ICO rating sites. ListofICO is a website where you can get assured ICO ratings no matter which part of the globe you are in. They list the best ICOs that actually work and are scam free. You can also start up your own ICO under the guidance of ListofICO. Then there are ICO related blogs and articles that give you further insights about investing in one and its potential.

I usually have a way to determine a good ICO project I usually see by reading the whitepaper, looking at the background of the team, seeing the price of tokens and seeing the total supply they have, when I have certain criteria I will invest there.

Choosing an ICO is a complex and multifaceted task. It is necessary to take into account many important nuances. First of all, you need to study the information from the whitepaper, see the sites, data on the development team, technologies and strategies for further development of the project.

Try to find a project with actual use in real world, or project that has a real product behind them that could be used as the base value of the coin they created. and don't forget to know about the team that created the project.

Project fraud does make us lose a lot of money and lose wasted time. And to determine a good project so far what I have done is. look at the website, read the whitepaper, an experienced team, and achieving sales tokens must get a Soft Cap.

Determine a good project is the toughest task here, when we are talking about ICO investing. So, none of us will tell you how to do this properly. You just need some experience to make less mistakes. I think a good team is the core feature here. Also serious and detailed whitepaper is a good signal.

to determine whether a project is good or not is indeed not easy, first we must be very careful in seeing a project, not to be fooled.
I myself will determine the good project if it is managed by a good team. then selling the tokens is high. and the project roadmap is very clear. I think like that.
We also have to look at the product of the project. There are many products which have a high demand so the projects of that get more investors and after the development the product demand increases the value of the coin so if you will have invested in that coin then you will get a high profit in the future.

usually I can determine a good ICO or not I can see it from how to read the existing whitepaper and see what they are developing, when their concept is good and can have high demand and is very useful for the future I will buy it and invest there .

We all want to make profitable and promising investments in good ICOs with excellent development potential in the future. It is impossible to completely avoid risks, but they can be minimized if desired. To do this, be sure to read the information about the developers, technologies and future development plans.

First of all, it is important for me to be convinced of a good development team. Always carefully study the information in the whitepaper and on the project website. But you need to understand - a thorough check of the ICO is necessary. But it only helps to minimize the risks, not completely eliminate them.

information about the team and the developers need not just read but study at all 500 percent. I think this is the most important part of a successful project.
