You did not provide any source for that statement but I do believe that there might such companies which exist. The reason is very simple, after the Japan's decision on legalisation of the crypto currencies within their nation and that too tax free everything has got changed. There is high chance that companies might have plotted the plans immediately after they got this news and thus now they are on the verge of giving out the salaries in such terms. This might also be having the employees consent that they want the salaries in the bitcoin form after having the Japan's legal stuff coming out. Who wouldn't want that !!

This is actually news that has been going on since 2017 since Japan decided to take the bull by the horn to accept the usage of cryptocurrency and then regulate it. I do not know if this is already active in some companies in Japan, but it would really be something worth it in the long run, for development, usage and more advantage for those who see reasons why it benefits them in the long run.

True or fake news, in my opinion it still not advisable because there are disadvantages paying salary in Bitcoin, some people have lack of knowledge and are not aware of how to use cryptocurrency and hence open themselves to hacker. The technology is somewhat complex and therefore one needs to be mindful of it and not many websites and markets or stores accept digital currencies yet. Yeah, it kinda sucks when you get paid with a volatile currency and its value is like a roller coaster ride and I think most of the people don't like that to happen, just like what you have just said, what if the time of your payday is the same time as the market bloodbath, what would that person feel if he really needs some cash that day? that's pretty frustrating, right?

Yes, this is correct. Most of the companies that's been doing this are those that is related to IT and technology-focused ones. My friend in Japan told me about this and he also said that some of those companies offer it as a form of internal investment where a certain amount will be deducted from your fiat salary and that amount will then be used to buy a portion of BTC that will be added in your own personal portfolio. The only problem with that setup is that they can't access it in real time and it takes 2 to 3 business days if they'll going to withdraw it and convert it to cash.
