News on their homepage are kind of old. I hope there will be something like 3x skrill events again. Otherwise it is not possible to climb new ranks  with this price of BTC.

Did SWCPoker leave Bitcointalk? Why should they every do something like that? I mean the time needed to moderate this thread is kind of low and especially here in this forum is their target group - so for god's sake: Where are they?

Given how negative the posts were in this thread regarding their rake adjustment, I'd say this is much better rather than keep on replying to all those posts without having any intention of changing it.

They have pretty much done their part and the market share for poker in this forum is lower than your expectation so even if they are active in this forum, they wont really attract that many new players anymore. Aside from this, the number of players in swc is quite low so some people might favor playing in fiat poker site with larger group of people and prizepool

The first sentence is just pure speculation. You really have to consider the cost/utility. In my opinion costs are less to be active in this thread then many other marketing actions. Actually I'm not sure if fiat poker sites are the real competitors... but that's pure speculation from my side.

the rake cap across the board at acr is 3 dollars. It is 4 to 6 dollars here.

Last rake adjustment was at $50,000 BTC price.  With BTC at $67,750 at time of this post, the rake has increased 35.5% in USD value since the last adjustment on March 2nd, 2021.

Now would be a good time to adjust the rake again to be competitive with other sites.

Goodfella, the rake cap has not hit $6 at any time during the last 8 months.  The jackpot tables are currently capped at $6.44 ($5.15 rake plus $1.30 for the jackpot). You can't include the jackpot drop in the rake. If you want to get technical you can add 12% of the $1.30 of the jackpot to the rake because they rake the jackpot when it is hit.  So that's about $5.31 as of this posting.

Next to nitrogensports, SWC has the highest rake (cap) online. And there are no games running, at all.
So why would anyone play there. Its game over for this place.

We have had such a great time playing our Bitcointalk poker games at SwC - the place was awesome even though the support (management) was slow, which pissed me off at times.

It is very sad to see what happened, I really loved playing poker with my crypto on that site every now and then. I have no idea why they would ruin it all but it is obvious that the place was sold - one could argue though why the new owners would "destroy" it that quickly. Anyway, looks like I have to do a final "re-visit" and probably remove SwC from my website shortly. Bad news since crypto poker options are still limited.

Allow me to tell you a little story of why I play at SwC. It was just another uneventful rainy spring morning full of bubbled freerolls and begging for micro tourney stakes in the lobby chat. I was exhausted. I was worried about my bankroll, my family, the devaluation of my native 3rd world currency, and this new coin, bitcoin cash. Then suddenly a man appeared in all yellow and all my fears were put to rest, all my questions answered. The rain stopped. The sun came out.

His name was SwC Frank.

Hasn't been hit since 1 year I think and never will.
Which bad beat jackpot requires AAAKK < xxxxx to be hit, it's as good as impossible to be set up.

SWC rather keeps the money in house since they have obviously give up on this project. Real shame cause I likes playing there because of the weak players.

Thanks for the information. Have tested the browser version. I will try it later with a different browser. Maybe it'll work then.  Smiley

I checked in software and browser and my login works, I also didn't use the site for a long time.

Maybe you should try their very slow email support.  Grin
Yes, I just wrote an email to the support. Hope this will solve my problem. Another browser did not bring anything. Smiley

Update: My account is working again. The support answered quickly and helped me.  Smiley

I have a hard time believing the above comment at this time, SwC hasn't even checked this page for over a year. This is a bad sign. regardless email response times are averaging 3 days MINIUM this is even for the most sensitive topics pertaining to operational security. These are the facts, and this is a sad time in what should/could have been a great company. This pains me greatly to say.

I am prepared for the results of my actions. I do not want to escalate this situation, but unfortunately I have no other choice. I wont be bothered getting my demeanor through text forms of contact mis labeled. i have been a staunch defender and supporter of SwC for 9 years. I have been loyal and showed a great deal of integrity during that time. I am growing angry that 3 years of my time has been wasted (flat out incompetence) and further time seeking resolution.. i have taken to twitter and i wont stop until i am given the opportunity AND RESPECT I DESERVE (i could have done anything w/ that fb 3 yrs) represent myself properly. I was never given an opportunity. THESE NEW OWNERS seem to be incompetent.

New owners indeed - I guess all of the speculations by some people from a long time ago... were correct. Wink

I am still playing on SwC occasionally and do not have serious issues - what bothers me is the fact that even the "new" people would not get it when I am telling them that several bitcointalk users still miss their prizes from our poker series, year(s) ago...
